Although not *officially* there yet, we consider ourselves "empty-nesters" and are trying to embrace all of the fun that brings. That means we have added a cruise a year to our schedule of other various types of vacations. This was our first time on Oasis, having done Grandeur, Liberty and Anthem (which is our ABSOLUTE favorite). Since you are reading this, you are well on your way to a ...

We tried a 7 day MSC Seaside cruise the week before Oasis. It sure felt great to get on a real cruise ship again on the Oasis of the Seas. Granted the MSC Seaside was a beautiful ship but the minuses far outweighed the pluses. Been there, done that, and its back to RCCL or X for us! Have 2 more future cruises booked on them. Rooms are larger, food is better, service is better, shows are better, ...

Construction above our OASIS CLS ruined our cruise

We chose this cruise on Oasis as a little romantic getaway and splurged on the Crown Loft Suite. While most of our cruise was great including speedy embarkation, awesome venues and our favorite place, the Coastal Kitchen; RC began a major construction project on the roof above us that lasted the entire week. The hammering, drilling banging and grinding that went on above us from 8 am to 6 pm ...

I chose this cruise for several reasons. We were able to drive to the port, the length of the cruise was perfect and we had never been on a ship of this size. My husband is a paraplegic and uses an electric wheelchair. When I booked the cruise, there were no wheelchair accessible cabins available, but I found an Aqua Theatre Suite with a separate bedroom that I was told would work for us. I ...

An amazing overall experience. LOVED our Cruse Director Tim and all his energy~! Kept each ship event wondering how they would top it. The nightly shows were very professional and entertaining. Unfortunately due to weather conditions we missed out on the Aqua Theatre Show as it continued to get canceled and rescheduled but we enjoyed every other show to the MAX! From Rock Climbing to Zip Line ...

This was our 4th trip on the Oasis, A Ship that we Love. When we chose this cruise a year ago both San Juan, and St. Maarten existed. Today San Juan is the home to devastation and crime, and St. Maarten, Orient Beach are almost entirely gone. Only the nude section exists and the Restaurant is barely standing. The road to Orient was never very good but now its just potholes and ...

Booked cruise a year ago because the ship went to 2 ports that we had not been to before and it was a 7 day cruise over a holiday weekend. We’ve only sailed with Royal. The crew was friendly and the shows were excellent. Great dining experience in the main dining room. So much to do and see on the ship. Love Central Park - the cafe, strings at night. Band in Dazzles was very good. Recommend ...

Slipping value and service

It’s been awhile since I’ve sailed on Royal, Carnival treats us great so we never have a reason to look at other options. I do remember the last time thinking Royal did a little bit better service wise and food being slightly better. But after a few years I guess that has changed. I found the service below Carnival now, the value way below, and the cleanliness was eh... The positives were the ...
