We enjoy sailing from Bayonne New Jersey in the summer- our annual Summer cruise. This cruise was 9 nights so we had bonus days. The terminal now is much more crowded as it used to accommodate smaller ships. When we enter the terminal area, we dropped off our luggage, then proceeded to an outdoor parking lot as the main indoor lot was full. Since we were in a suite, we had an early boarding ...
Our waiter was EXCELLENT!!!
Our stateroom attendant was also great and kept our cabin in tip top shape. Crew was great!
Ship is beautiful.
Food is okay, Windjammer dessert isn't good and they never had vanilla ice cream. Windjammer is too crowded for breakfast.
I would like to see more daytime activities. Not much going on during the day.
Nightlife was pretty good. However ...
I originally booked an Oasis cruise in 2019 for 2020, fast forward post Covid and here we are, same ship but a slightly different 9 day itinerary than we first had. Cape Liberty was painless, we had a check in of 10am, arrived at the port at 9:40, dropped off our luggage and parked in the building lot next to the ship, we passed security got checked in and then sat and waited until the ship was ...
We chose this cruise because it was sailing from NYC. We had never been and we wanted to save time and money by driving to the port. We also really wanted to do Coco Cay. Driving there was very easy. Parking at the port took about an hour and then another hour to check in. Once we boarded, we grabbed some lunch in the buffet and drinks. We got a great spot for sail away!
Our family of 6 ...
This was a family cruise with my daughter, son in law, and 4 year old granddaughter, who stayed in the adjacent room no. 8 204. It was supposed to have taken place this past December, but my granddaughter test positive for Covid and RCI refunded all of the fare with our any hassle. We chose this cruise because it departs from Brooklyn. We live in Long Island and this was a no-fly cruise. The ...
This cruise was a 9 year old promise fulfilled to my granddaughter. I promised to take her on a cruise for her 16th birthday. This was the year. We had a great time! We ate in the MDR, Johnny Rockets, Portside BBQ, the Windjammer, Solarium Bistro, Promenade Cafe, ordered room service and had lots of free ice cream. All meals were wonderful. We tried to have as many different dining experiences as ...
We chose the Royal Caribbean cruise starting back in beginning of 2020. Due to covid it was canceled numerous times and we were told that we wouldn't lose our money. finally, we were told the ship was again sailing and we were told to use our cruise credit by booking before the end of April 2022 or we would lose the money we spent for it back in 2020 for 7 people. ($10000+). We had to book it and ...
The ship was filled to capacity 100%. there was no social distancing because I could not avoid the crowds. I thought the ship would not be packed full. What a joke. I would have not booked the cruise this soon but at the time I was told I would lose my credits from the previous cruise that was cancelled. I would have like to wait longer because COVID is not over yet. We were all feeling a bit ...
In today's economic climate, things will change. It was inevitable that cruise lines will try to make up for lost time by booking as many people as possible.
However, if you cruised anything in the past and observed the insane crowds it just became uncomfortable to do even the most menial things on this ship. Even trivia games were full capacity.
Sure, over time it was ok to find some ...
The ship is huge and there are a LOT of people on board. I wished I had realized the following~
1.) As soon as you board (or before if you can figure out how.....because I could not), book your shows and book your specialty restaurants. If you buy a specialty restaurant "package" you are not allowed to pre-select a restaurant, date and time.
2.) I did know to do the above, and I asked ...
