I wanted to go to St.Thomas and I only go Royal Caribbean because you can always depend on a great cruise with Royal. The food at all the venues was very good. Our favorites is always Chops. The Headliner show was the best and also the Ice Show. We wanted to see Cats but there were so many other things to do we ran out of time. The crew is so helpful. I left my glasses in one of the main dining rooms. Ours was the American Icon. And I couldn't read a thing on any of the menus. Lost and found tried to help but in the end it was the server who found them for me. For as large as this ship is and a lot of people with children, everyone was very friendly and considerate of each other. The Oasis is amazing and the most beautiful ship ever and I am looking forward to another cruise on her. Read Less

The service was great. The staff was always smiling and helpful. The staff actually made the experience much better. I never felt like i was without a drink and and entertainment. The were many pool and never felt overcrowded. Every desire I had only seem a question away. There was so much to do. I could not keep up. Either relaxing at the pool or sipping champagne at the art auction, life was good. Me and my wife were actually a little depressed we had to leave after experiencing something so grand. My wife & I took a cruise on this same ship the Oasis on Nov 27, 2016 to Dec 4, 2016. We refer to that cruise as the cruise from hell with all the problems (That included services especially the room we had it was very bad and the food wasn't that great in the dining room, these are some of the main problems) that we encountered on that cruise to say the least. There were so many inexperienced crew staff (members) on this ship at the time, they didn't know what they were doing contributed to all the problems. We understand and were told that more then half the staff from the Oasis were transferred to the new ship at the time Harmory of The Sea. Saying all that, we as you know just completed this current cruise on the Oasis again to see if things have changed. It was like night and day as far the services and the dining areas and throughout the ship. Everything was excellent this time and we really enjoy ourselfs, and we are really glad that everything was corrected because this is a nice ship. We didn't encounter any problems on this cruise at all. It seems like all the staff (Members) were really trying their best this time to provide the best service possible. Thanks for a great cruise this time. We have two other cruises scheduled for this year 2017 and one is on the Harmory of the Sea and we can't wait. My wife and I are at the level of Diamond. We had an excellent vacation. Both the embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly. The ship had so much to offer for all of us. There were three pools, a pool for tiny tots, hot tubs, the Solarium if you didn`t want the sun, rock climbing, zip lining, surfing, ice skating, mini golfing, and incredible live shows. The food was delicious and there were so many choices from the Windjammer, the dining room and the restaurants in Central Park. We ate in the dining room at table 216 around 7:00 pm and had excellent service by the waiter and his helper. They were very accommodating, helpful, friendly and provided excellent service. We had my time dining. Our cabin accommodated four people comfortably. We had a balcony and enjoyed using it. We traveled with three grown-up kids, their spouses and four children. We enjoyed the ports we stopped at. The kids all enjoyed the ship. We would love to go again some day. Read Less

We cruised on this ship 2 months ago and appreciate the variety of activities onboard and friendly cruise staff. The Diamond Club is awesome although I had to get the concierge to program in sea pass to gain access to the club. The air conditioning in the cabin was excellent. The stateroom attendant addressed our needs. The Windjammer restaurant was crowded during breakfast and so we dined in the Solarium each morning and enjoyed a pleasant experience. CATS was the main performance but was canceled until the last night. The matinee was full and we did not go to the evening performance as the performance was scheduled to end at 10:45 pm and luggage was requested to be in the hallways by 11:00pm The food in the main dining was awesome as well as the service. It appeared that the service personnel could use additional help due to the demands of the sold-out crowd. Priority departure did not seem to exist for Diamond members as our luggage tag number was 35 departing at 10:05 am. We decided to take our luggage ourselves and noticed a separate departing gate for some of the guests as we waited in a long line for nearly 45 minutes Read Less

We will cruise on the Oasis again...soon. All the wait staff, Room attendant, security is top notch. The Opal Theater Show are Broadway class shows. Truly enjoyed that our Captain "Rob" is an American and his history of sailing is very interesting. The "Oasis" Class Ship are the very best inthe Cruise industry non to compare. We have been cruising for 26 years and in the past 15 years we have become very "Loyal to Royal" we highly recommend Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines to all our friends. We traveled on the Oasis of the Seas in February 2017 and it was an excellent experience, the best overall of 9 cruises on 3 separate cruise lines. Though we sailed as a couple, we paid attention to the features for children since we plan to cruise with our three children (8 and under) in the future. We were concerned about waiting in long lines due to ship size but did not wait at all for anything. (and yes, the ship was full) The crowd seems to be mostly senior citizens and families, which suited us (mid-30s) just fine. We did not do any shore excursions and spent minimal time at the ports as we prefer to be on the ship. Favorites about the ship: breathtaking design, delicious food, wonderful non-smoking policy, TREMENDOUS family appeal, fast and reliable wifi, plentiful hand-washing sinks, reminders and sanitizer, best cruise ship shower, disability-friendly. Design-I can't imagine anyone not being "wowed" by this ship. From the unique neighborhoods to the Rising Tide bar which actually moves between floors, this ship is absolutely incredible. Dining- ALL of the food was delicious. This really sets RCL apart from the other lines we have traveled on (Disney and Carnival). Somehow the food was flavorful without leaving a bad taste. We did the My Time dining with no reservations and we did not ever wait for a table. There were no long lines in the Windjammer either. Chops Grille was only OK; the food in the dining room is just as good or better. Family appeal-Nothing can match Disney for family entertainment, but RCL comes very close and with the amenities on board Oasis, surpasses Disney on the overall experience. The kiddie pool area is the largest we've seen, the pool deck bathrooms have changing tables, wipes, Lysol wipes and diaper genies. There are free life vests in 3 different child sizes on the pool deck. When entertainment had the potential to be adult-themed, this was made crystal clear in the daily guide, as well as by the person announcing the event. We appreciated this aspect so much! The age groups for the kids groups are 3-5, 6-8, 9-11 and 12-17. (unfortunately we forgot to research the info for the under 3 crowd) Dreamworks characters were present for photo opportunities, and I believe some Dreamworks movies were shown on board as well. Accessibility-- We saw many travelers in wheelchairs, both seniors and others with serious medical conditions. Everything seemed very accessible. In addition, we noticed many activities were marked "autism friendly." Smoking- This is the first cruise EVER where we have spent time in the casino and not come out smelling like smoke. The non-smoking area is huge and completely separated from the smoking area. If there are any other smoking areas indoors, I did not see them; we rarely smelled smoke on the ship. Things that could use improvement: ping pong tables need repair, many arcade games were broken, lack of interesting activities during the day, beds were too hard for our taste, ice cream machines are only open for about 6 hours a day (!) Tips: Embarkation-Arrive at 2pm or later on embarkation day. We had no waiting at all arriving at this time and were told that the wait is often in excess of 2 hours earlier in the day. Debarkation-Carry your luggage and exit early if possible! It took 2 solid hours once we left the ship to go through the luggage area and customs. Non-alcoholic drinks: You can use one "coke package" for multiple people. The person who has it on their card will have a "coca-cola" designation on their card where they can get unlimited sodas from the bars/restaurants. The souvenir cup they give you can be filled at the Coca Cola Freestyle machines throughout the ship. You can also purchase a punch card for 10 non-alcoholic drinks for the price of 8. (ask about this at any bar) Bottom line- We loved this cruise and can't wait to go on this ship again. We were nervous about crowds, elevators, lines etc. with having 6,000 passengers on board, but our worries were in vain. Everything ran smoothly and the ship did not seem any more crowded than the other ships we've sailed on. Read Less

We chose this cruise specifically for the Oasis experience. Embarkation lines were long, but moved at a good pace and we were on the ship in less than 45 minutes. The ship is absolutely stunning! Our large interior stateroom was perfect; lots of little drawers and shelves that I found very convenient for unpacking for the week. The sitting area was a great bonus and really made the room feel spacious. Our favorite places for breakfast were the Solarium Park Cafe and the best place for lunch was Park Cafe for sure. The Windjammer left much to be desired as far as the food selection goes. We were also disappointed in the food selection in the main dining room at dinner time. That is our only complaint about the entire cruise; we've had much better food on both Princess and even Carnival. There weren't really many dishes that wowed us or made us rave about them afterward. Sometimes the food was cold. These are things I'd expect to be better on one of the most amazing ships on the sea. Service, as always, was excellent. Nothing left to be desired in this arena! We were pleasantly surprised with how much we loved the ports. I was hesitant about Labadee because I wasn't sure how 6,000+ people were going to fit on one beach in one port, but the port is truly huge and there are MANY beaches to choose from. We'd recommend walking away from the ship and to the left and going all the way out toward the cabanas at the very end of the beach. It was peaceful, serene and beautiful. I wouldn't have known about that unless I did the yoga on the beach, which I also highly recommend. I learned about it while visiting the fitness center. Be sure to sign up for it and I promise you'll enjoy yoga on the beach ($12 charge) in Labadee. Also the spin (they call it Ryde) classes are phenomenal and take place on sea days. I missed the first one because I didn't know about it yet, and was bummed because they were amazing and worth the $20 charge. I found the climbing wall wasn't open for climbing nearly enough and we didn't get a chance to try it out. We didn't try that hard to make it happen, but it seemed any time we considered heading that direction it was closed. We traveled as four adults, no kids and would most definitely cruise RCI again. It's ruined us for ever going back to Carnival. RCI is just too nice to go back to Carnival. Try it out! Read Less

We have enjoyed her before, loved her this time, and look forward to another trip on her...... Everything about this ship suits our needs.....We love the space on the Oasis, and no longer enjoy the smaller ships. We loved our cabin being on the same floor to be able to use Central Park for getting back and forth from location to location. This was our first time to experiment with " Any Time Dining ", and this allowed us more flexibility to be able to go to more activities. The entertainment on board was first class, but recommend that you do book your shows, and times, before you board. Oasis offers you a relaxed vacation , or you can be as busy as you can make it. This time we enjoyed the Solarium for every breakfast, whereas we have , in the past, used the main dining room, there are so many options for dining and snacks....spoilt for choice. Oasis really suits our needs. Read Less

Travelled with a loyal Royal Caribbean customer. The ship was amazing. So much to do and with all the square footage, there was very little "crowded" spaces. It is hard to believe there were 6000+ guests on board. Unfortunately, I had to visit the medical facility due to an injury which occurred 2-1/2 weeks prior to getting on board. I was treated very well felt like proper care was given. We were impressed with our dining room servers. Sari & Catherine made it a point to learn our names and remember little things that we desired with each meal. By the end of our 2nd night, we felt like family. They were extremely pleasant and tried to make sure we had everything the way we liked it. I don't know how other cruise lines run their business, but Royal Caribbean leaves little room for improvement. The experience was superb. I hope to sail again with Royal Caribbean. Read Less

This cruise selected because of ship. Wanted to try a much larger ship for a change. From parking the car and boarding (processing on board really fast) to getting off the ship everything was smooth. Dining room experience with Christobel and Yutong just terrific!! We had been to the ports before but tried zip lining. What a wonderful feeling. The only disappointing item of the cruise, there was a theme party on board and they took up one of the dance venues. Would not have booked cruise if I had known. Ship very clean and I felt the dining room dinners were quite sufficient. We didn't try the extra $$$ restaurants. Sometimes a little crowded with over 5,000 passengers on board. Two very good entertainment bands on board. Love to dance to their music. Watched stage show Come Fly With Me. Just terrific!! Very nice and roomy cabins but I think new beds would be appropriate. We had terrific cabin service with George Williams. I would give the ship an overall rating of 5 Stars. Will sail again with RCCL. Gary W. Read Less

We were intrigued by the ship itself and anxious to sail on something as unique as the Oasis. We were not disappointed. From embarkation to debarkation, everything was smoothly efficient. Crew members were highly trained, pleasant and anxious to assist with anything asked of them. The beauty of Central Park was overwhelming! It was like being in the real place, complete with the sounds of crickets and the twinkling lights and lush gardens one would expect to find outdoors in a planned park setting. We were pleased with every place we ate, except Chops Grille, where we found the service slow and uninterested in us as customers and the food sub-par. At the other end of the spectrum, we ate twice at Giovanni's Kitchen, where everyone, from host at the door to bus servers was smiling, happy to be there and anxious to give us a positive, memorable experience. Ballah, our waiter, was delightful, and paid special attention to each of his clients. We were struck throughout the cruise by how easily we could navigate aboard the ship. One would never suspect there were thousands of people aboard! We are not joiners nor attenders, so we can't speak to the activities or shows. We spent our days on the decks, relaxing in any way we chose. We spent our evenings in the casino, where we had some success and met some friendly people. The days flew by and we are sorry they are over. We are already planning our next RCL cruise and looking forward to an equally enjoyable vacation. Read Less

Our overall experience on the Oasis of the Seas was fantastic! My wife and I cruised with our two boys (9 & almost 11 years old). This was my 5th cruise, and the Oasis of the Seas topped them all. The ship provided so many different options for dining, activities, and spots for finding some "me" time. The shows were also great! The ship also had many activities available for our kids throughout the day. They spent a portion of the time with us and a portion in the ship kid program. The kid area allows for kids to sign themselves in and out of the program if desired, and this was a great option for us. We decided on meeting times beforehand and would rendezvous with them at those set times. One of the highlights of our experience was dinner. We were not able to get a set dinner time in the main dining room so went with the MyTime dining. This ended up being an amazing option since it made your dinner time more flexible. Even though we did not have a scheduled time and table, we were able to request and get the same table and waiters each night. The dinner staff was amazing and especially amazing with out kids. I would highly recommend eating the main dining hall as a family throughout the cruise if possible. It was great to actually see families actually talking at dinner with little to no electronic devices around! Read Less

Our cabin was very clean, nicely furnished and to our surprise a bottle of champagne welcomed us so we could stay on the balcony and watch what it takes to get this huge ship going. The dining choices, taste and presentation were superb even if you did not go to the main dining rooms. I'm more of a fan of mid-sized ships (like RCCL Freedom class), but since I gained less weight than ever before, I may reverse this thinking. Big ships require more walking to get anywhere, so it was worth it. Oasis is definitely worth sailing if you've never experienced a BIG ship. How often can you stroll in the park, listening to violin music at night...in the middle of the ocean? It's huge, but there are ways to avoid the crowds, with a little exploring. The entertaining was above the average variety, & even though the "Cats" production wouldn't be my 1st choice, it was done well! The aqua & ice shows are WONDERFUL! Everywhere I looked, I saw people enjoying themselves. The ship accommodates all ages, families, and interests. There are few ports that can handle Oasis, so it's NOT about the itinerary. It's about this big, beautiful "spoiling machine". I know...because I'm home today, doing laundry, waiting for my bed to magically be made & wondering what I'm going to eat! Read Less

My wife and I cruise once a year on Royal Caribbean out of Port Canaveral, usually on the Freedom of the Seas. This was our first experience with the Oasis of the Seas and we were a little nervous because of the size of the ship and the number of passengers. Our fears were unfounded. The Oasis, despite its size, seldom felt over crowded. There were numerous areas where one could find a little seclusion. You just had to plan ahead or adjust your schedule a little. Shows, for example, had to be reserved ahead. The Windjammer was always crowned, but there were other venues to eat such as the Solarium, Central Park, or the Boardwalk. The shows were very entertaining, even the last minute substitution with the Elvis impersonator . The food in the dining room was surprisingly good. We were a little disappointed, last year, with the food on the Freedom, but we were quite pleased with the food on the Oasis. We found the service to be very satisfactory from the dining room to the stateroom. We did not sign up for any shore excursions but explored on our own. One of the nice features of the Oasis was the variety of special areas, such as the Boardwalk with its carousal and Central Park with its greenery and homey feeling. Both areas provided additional eating and drinking selections. We found our balcony cabin a bit smaller than on the Freedom, but it was adequate. My wife did not like the shower arrangement. The room was clean and functional. At my wife's "suggestion" we booked a Junior suite while on board for our next cruise in 2018. Getting on the ship was a hassle because on the number of passengers. In fact the longest wait was in our shuttle bus waiting to unload us at the ship terminal. All in all, a small price to pay. Read Less

We booked this cruise to try a mega ship- it did not disappoint! We never found it crowded....really. Getting on was a little hectic, but once we asked if Diamonds had a special line, we were able to skip a lot of people. We went to the Solarium for something to eat. Always found a chair on deck in the sun or shade. We ate most dinners in the MDR, always found something really good to eat, tasty and hot. Giovanni's one night was outstanding! Enjoyed the Park Cafe a couple of times for breakfast. We made our reservations for shows before we left and worked our my time dining times around them. All the shows were excellent- even Cats (some have not enjoyed it) We had an assessable balcony ocean view room on deck 12. Loved it. My husband uses a medical scooter and this worked out very well for us. Attendant helpful and attentive. For the last three nights we requested Ben in the dining room because we liked him so much. Enjoyed Diamond lounge or free cocktails during happy hour (4:30-8:00 PM) around the ship every night. We did our own thing in the ports, since we had done all of them twice recently. We requested to be one of the last off the ship, received an 11:00 time. We had breakfast in the dining room and went up to deck 15 to wait around. We took our grown children and grandchildren on this cruise. There was something for everyone to do and we all had a great time. The only complaint I have is we needed more daytime hours in Puerto Rico. We did not dock until 1:00. There were 5 ships in port at St. Maarten and everything was very crowded. I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting an alternative to the ship excursions. The staff on board was excellent. I can't say enough great things about the staff. We loved the cruise so much we booked it again for May. Even though there over 6000 guests on board and over 2000 crew members the only time it seemed crowded was after the muster drill. Read Less

We chose this cruise for the amenities of this ship. It was beautiful and amazing! We had a Promenade view room and loved it. The stateroom seemed slightly bigger than on other ships we have sailed on. The food in the Windjammer and Silk dining room was plentiful and delicious! Fabulous entertainment and so many options we may need to sail on the Oasis again just to experience more than we had time for on this trip. We chose to use Royal's bus transfer to and from Orlando airport and that went very smoothly. No problems with luggage delivery to and from stateroom. Everyone was very efficient! We loved the opportunity to have photo taken by on board photographers, I just wish they didn't all have you posing the exact same way. Regardless, they turned out beautiful and we of course had to purchase some of them! Thank you Nigel for your wonderful service to our stateroom!! Read Less

My 93 year old father likes to cruise with his adult family members (that includes children, grandchildren and great grandchildren) and some additional friends. Having a family suite (the Royal Family suite accommodates a large group, unlike other suites or other cruise lines) gives us plenty of sleeping accommodations. bathrooms, balcony space, and a living space for family time. Fortunately we were also able to book an adjoining balcony room, so we have even more space and three bathroom!! In addition, the services and amenities for "Suite People" are fantastic - priority getting on and off the ship, priority reservations at shows and dining, and of course the wonderful Suite Lounge and Coastal Kitchen - the best food and service on the ship, and the view is awesome!. When you calculate how much it would cost to get balcony rooms for all the people in our group (and they would not all be connecting), the cost of the suite is a great value, much less than all those individual rooms!! We only travel with RCL and always in a Royal Family Suite. We are already looking at options for cruising next year. It really doesn't matter where we go, as we've been to so many of the ports already, just so long as it is with Royal Caribbean and in a Royal Family Suite! Read Less
