We choose this cruise because friend's were booked.Sept. 30 sailing. Boarding was 1 hour late so we were on at 12pm no big deal. Food. We ate breakfast mostly in the dining room service was fast they also had a buffet. No line up but when we went to windjammer on the way to the pool there was a line up but it seemed to move fast. No complaints on the food. Lunch. We ate mostly in the ...

Hey all! I am Channing, and I travelled with my boyfriend Shawn. Both early to mid 30s, from California. We have cruised Carnival twice and Princess once, so this was our first time on Royal. We originally booked a south pacific cruise out of Sydney but unfortunately, couldn't make it happen, so we opted for this cruise that looked really fun, and was easier on the budget. Shawn's mom lives ...

Great Trip on the Oasis

Chose this cruise to experience the Oasis class ship. We have tried the Voyager class before and wanted to see what the differences were. The cruise it self was fantastic. We did have some issues with weather, but that is expected in September in the Caribbean. This did impact a couple of the shows (Cats and the Aqua-theatre Comedy show). The only thing we would say is the ship itself was a bit ...

Disappointing

I've only ever cruised with Royal Caribbean and like the larger ships such as Freedom, but had never been on the Oasis or larger. Had heard great things about the Oasis, but was disappointed. Good stuff - embarkation was smooth once we finally were allowed to get into the parking lot, although we had to wait for customs clearance which is probably why parking was an issue. Cabin was nice ...

We booked this as a very last minute cruise for myself, husband and 2 kids. We found an amazing last minute fare and couldn't pass it up. We are gold on Carnival. This was our first time on another cruise line and we were so excited to check out the Oasis. The ship itself did not disappoint! It is beautiful! And the layout was great. It very rarely felt crowded at all. The "neighborhood" ...

Just as expected from RCI

First time traveling on RCI as an adult and the experience was great as expected. Oasis of the Seas is a beautiful ship in very good condition with tons of activities and stuff to do. We were two couples in the mid 20's without kids. I selected this ship because the last cruise was on Carnival Fantasy in 2015 and the experience wasn't great. I wanted to show my wife why I enjoyed cruising ...

Ship is an engineering marvel

We chose this ship because of the size, the amenities, the live entertainment and cost. We found the ship to be somewhat crowded but not where you couldn't move. The buffet lines for breakfast and lunch were somewhat long but nothing more than 5 minute wait. There were 6,400 passengers and approx 2,000 crew. We had my-time dining which worked out fine. We just told them we wanted 7:30 ...

Overall a great cruise on the Oasis

I read reviews for weeks before our cruise and was a little nervous based on some of the assessments of the condition of the ship and crew. Overall we were very happy with the cruise. Our cabin was in very good condition and the air conditioning worked fine. I think the crew is a little more behind the scenes than on some of the smaller ships that I have been on, but we did not have an bad ...

I chose this cruise as I wanted to experience a huge ship- and it did not disappoint me. While there were over 6000 passengers-the only time it felt like that was during boarding and disembarkment. Even then, the process was relatively smooth for the number of people involved. The gem onboard was the Vintages Wine Bar! The sommelier staff was engaging, knowledgeable and a wonderful asset to the ...

Not what I hoped for

Staff was not energetic or very welcoming. More like they were here to collect a pay check. Food was less than desirable minus the main sit down dinner. That was good, but in comparison to the food on Carnival without a doubt has them beat across the sea. Casino was not very big in comparison to other ships. This created one huge smoke cloud even on the non smoking side it was bad. Some staff in ...
