Huge ship!!! Awesome shows!

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

I previously was on a much smaller ship (Rhapsody of the Seas) and wanted to see the difference. While I do like the smaller size of Rhapsody for getting around easily and less people, I admit that I much prefer Oasis for it's entertainment. Every night we went to a different show and each was very professional. There was an ice skating show, high diving & synchronized swimming show as well as ...

We chose this cruise because it sailed from Port Canaveral (only 1 1/4 hours from home) and its ports(Western Caribbean). We took our two adult children for a getaway without Grandkids for a relaxing time. The ship was in good shape and our balcony rooms had ample space and storage. The service in the dining rooms was exceptional, some of the best we have ever had in the 25+ cruises we have ...

We had an excellent cruise. We were a little crowded because I had rented a scooter to get from one end of the ship to the other and the scooter had to remain in the room, at all times, when not in use. An accessible room was not available when we booked, so from now on we will only book accessible rooms, and if none are available, we will pick another itinerary. Our cabin steward was excellent ...

From a quick drop of luggage, to getting our Sea Cards, to the most wonderful Cabin Steward, Rod (Rodhel Leno-no relation), to the best waitstaff in the dining room-server and assistant-we received the best service that way passed our expectations. As we're on our 12th cruise and had read mixed reviews about this ship, we had our whole family (8 of us iincluding a 20 month old, we were not ...

This was our first ever cruise, thought we would try, supposedly the best for my wifes 60th birthday. Wish we hadn't bothered. Arrive at Orlando airport, no rep to be found, having had a quick look round, I asked other reps, that were visible, in the obvious place, they told me Royal Caribbean had a desk downstairs. We found the rep, only to be told our transport had left with 2 couples that ...

What can be said about this ship except WOW From start to finish it was good, embarcation was easy, staff were great, the only one complaint was Chops restaurant, poor service, warm food and a waiter that was condescending, when I ordered a beer with my dinner he smirked and said something in his own language, we don't all like wine ! The entertainment was great, the ship was clean if not a ...

Oasis vs Norwegian Away class review

This was our first Royal Caribbean cruise so I had big hopes, since I heard it was a leg up from Carnival and Norwegian. In short our trip was good overall, service was good, food was ok, the ship was showing wear and tear, and the kids club was unsatisfactory. Embarkation went smoothly, we arrived at port around 11:00 am and the waiting area was overflowing with people, but Royal called our ...

My wife and I are both Diamond Plus with Royal Caribbean and sail every 2-3 weeks from Central Florida Ports (Port Canaveral, Tampa). We earned our status and always look forward to the great service and recognition perks for our status. The Oasis does not give a hoot if you are Diamond Plus. You are treated like cattle. Royal Caribbean, Company Policy (fleet wide) is concierge lounge and priority ...

The ship itself is magnificent. There is nothing physical that is not impressive. Central Park is a wonder at sea. The Promenade is like nothing I could imagine. But, all that wonder ends when it comes to the amenities. The Cabin: While the cabin is adequate size and the balcony is generous, the rest is second rate. The bed had a foam layer with little cones on the mattress that made ...

Oasis in the Eastern Caribbean

A relaxing seven-day trip! Our trip began in Tallahassee on October 6th as we drove to Gainesville to attend the Florida/LSU football game (what a game!). After the game we drove to Orlando and stayed at the Marriott Fairfield inn near the Orlando airport (a 45-minute drive to the port). We arrived at the port around 11:00 am and, for the convenience, we parked in the port garage - $136 for the ...
