2 7-day cruises back to back on Oasis had too many small kids

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

We are Diamond Plus members and have done many cruises on Royal. Has been pretty good in the past but this time we had way too many small kids everywhere. the adults only solarium contains a "pool" which is nothing more than a glorified hot tub and had sunscreen floating on top of the water. Disgusting. Apparently had 3rd and 4th passenger free during that two weeks period. Worst we had ever ...

This was our second cruise ever and with the first one being the worst the quality at the very least had to go up. And did they ever go up. Seems like we went from the worst to the best. The cruise aboard the Oasis of the Seas was spectacular with no major complaints. Our cabin steward, Edgar, was absolutely outstanding. The staff were always friendly, courteous, and extremely helpful. I was ...

A family of 5....kids are 6, 8, 10. This was our 1st Royal cruise. We have been on 3 NCL ones prior. The quality of the kids club was outstanding!!!!! The crowd was great - since the drinking packages are more expensive there was none of the crazy drunks like on NCL (didn't like that). So that's 2 great things - nice people and great kids club. The ship itself is dated. It's not a new ...

My friend won a cruise from her company the company picked the ship. Oh yes we have spoken to them about other choices. The ship was so overcrowed you couldnt even get in the pool or find a lounge chair to set in. It took forever to get a drink from the bar. A couple of the bars we just stopped going to. It seemed like they had plenty of cheer in their system and they couldnt care if they waited ...

Great staff, aging ship, stingy casino comps

Today I returned to the US after a week aboard the Oasis of the Seas gambling at the single zero roulette table. Finished ~$2500 ahead Martingaling for a week. **Cruise Background** I wanted to vacation in Vegas this fall, my wife wanted to cruise again, so I spent a few months searching cruise lines, looking for a single zero roulette table with at least an 8-bet min/max spread. As it ...

Superb! But Mega Ships Aren't for Everyone. Know before You Go!

This ship is a wonder to behold. It's huge! And because there are some larger areas broken up into sections (Royal Promenade, Boardwalk, Central Park, the pool deck, the Solarium), it doesn't tend to feel quite as crowded. There are also lots of music venues to choose from (the pub, the Schooner bar, Dazzles, Jazz on 4, Boleros), so you will find something to enjoy there too. Our cabin was one ...

The Halloween parade was wonderful, go on down and get an early seat near the stage. It was a lot of fun, many dressed up! Kids and adults. Costumes were kid friendly. Maybe on was not so good ubt it wa OK. We Loved it! Go to the trouble of taking a few costume pieces, it made for a fun day. A lot of kids wer dressed up and I believe they gave out candy. We did not have kids with ...

My husband and I have only cruised Royal Caribbean in the past and figured let's take our daughter for her first cruise for my husband's 40th birthday and Halloween. What a giant waste of money. RC has really gone down hill. Seems like RC keeps spending their money on advertising and private islands but not investing into their ships and staff. Here are some of the complaints that I pointed ...

We chose this cruise and ship because of the amenities, suites and ports for this particular sailing. We were in suite 1701, Owners Panoramic suite and IT WAS PERFECT. Very spacious, hot tub on the deck....could not have asked for more. Outstanding views of both sea and ship was beautiful. Sailing over Halloween was a blast. Already booked for next year but trying the Harmony Our Royal Genie ...
