I have been on many cruises and had not be on an Oasis class ship. This seemed like a no brainer. I have not been on Princess cruises either. After this cruise, I realized why I left Royal to go to other lines. In short, the ship is very good. It has multiple areas so things do not get too congested. It is very kid friendly and geared towards that type of clientele. The entertainment was OK--Cats ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

This was my second post-Covid cruise after a great week on Harmony in the Med in September. I was definitely spoilt with ~30% capacity back then as Oasis was at around 80% for this sailing and there was a very noticeable difference. I booked this cruise almost 2 years prior to sailing as it was to celebrate a big birthday. Got a decent deal on a Crown Loft Suite, having previously sailed in a ...

Ok, I should have known better - Spring Break and we were travelling with Extended Family including two kids 4 & 5. Ship was crowded but at least everything seemed to be online and working. Loved (as always on the Oasis Class ships) the Aqua Shows and the ICe Shows. Stage shows and headliners were ok. Ship was clean but not spotless (too many kids?) Thank goodness for the sanctuary of the ...

Rating 4 1/2 Stars! Returned home last night from our week on Oasis. Here is a "not so brief" overview of our trip. " The Good, The Mediocre and The Bummer". We were actually one of the few people whose flight was actually on time and made it to Miami. Almost everyone else in the rather large group either had flights cancelled or had to do some very crazy maneuvers to actually make it to ...

Traveled with husband, 3 children (9,9,4), both of my sisters, and my parents (with mobility issues) on this our first Star Class trip and our first cruise since Covid. My sisters were each in their own balcony room, my parents had a Jr suite, and we had a 2 bedroom AquaTheater suite. SHIP The Oasis is clean, beautiful, and very big. I was onboard for 8 days, and even on day 7 I was ...

Cruise & Miami Trip – March 2022 3/4/22 – Two Days Ahead We took this Friday off work. We did the EMed home Covid tests around 7-7:30am – me first, then Joe. We both passed!! We finished packing and Joe picked up some groceries for Kristin, who was dog-sitting for us. We put all 4 suitcases in the living room ready to go. We went to dinner at Clara’s with Kristin. Went to bed early – as ...

13Feb – 20Feb 2022 Background: My husband and I are from Indiana, ages 43 and 44; no children and we currently reside in Charlotte, NC. I have been on 10 cruises, and he’s been on 6. We’ve sailed with Celebrity, Carnival, Princess, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean. Our most recent cruise was in February of 2020. The goal of this cruise was just to relax so we had nothing booked in any ...

I've cruised on Carnival twice and this was my first cruise on RCCL. It was also my first solo cruise. I have always wanted to sail on an Oasis-class ship and have wanted to try Royal. I was blown away by the ship and the experience. I made a post on the message board (https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2831575-random-thoughts-from-a-first-time-solo-and-first-time-rccl-cruiser/) which goes ...

We did 5 weeks cruise in Dec 2021 and Jan 2022, 2 weeks on Celebrity Silhouette, 2 weeks on HAL Rotterdam and 1 week on Oasis, the last 2 cruises were back to back. We decided to cruise on the Oasis for 3 reasons,,,, the beauty of the shows, the boat being at 1/3 full, and the fact that we were already in Florida and no need to fly again from Montreal. Of course the shows are among the best on ...

Half the ship was reserved by Orthodox Jew cruise. Half the restaurants and shows was for this and you were not allowed in. That’s fine but it would have been nice to know beforehand. They aired prayers over speakers and special guest speakers in public spaces. Lots of kids running around. I love the ship and have been on twice before. There is lots to do and the specialty restaurants were great. ...
