Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

Paid for by Hilton. I especially enjoyed the extra size of the Oasis of the Seas. I liked the 5th deck with its large center walk way. The 6th deck had boardwalk with the aqua show which was an engineering feat. I liked the open gardens on the 8th deck with the different resturants. The spas were some of the best I've seen on a ship and always well maintained. And the covered pavilion was a ...

Big Ship - It is showing its age

Looking to try a large ship. This fit the bill. The entertainment was very good on the ship except for CATS (not my cup of tea) Since it was such a large ship we felt the need to schedule all the entertaiment which did take the fun out of being able to make changes to your schedule as you were affaid of being blocked out of the show at a latter time. We had shows cancelled and the rescheduled ...

Selected by a friend who planned the group travel for the group of friends with whom I traveled. Oasis of the Seas needs an overhaul-getting old and shows wear. The food wasn’t anything spectacular! I Had to ask for water refills at dinner frequently and a black napkin multiple times whenever I had dark evening dress on. They looked at me as though they couldn’t figure why I was asking for a ...

DISAPPOINTMENT OF THE SEAS

Dinning in main dinning room had great staff but some were very unsure of there duties, also food was lesser quality than on other cruises we had been on. Shows were cancelled a lot do to rough seas (which i understand) but they brag this ship up to not having much motion due to its stability system and it was the worst voyage we have had during every day of cruising . Smaller ships we were on ...

Great time aboard the Oasis

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

We spent the previous week in Orlando at Disney World. The Saturday before we rented a car and the wife and I drove to Cape Canaveral to check out Kennedy space center. (very cool and worth the effort). The next morning we all loaded our luggage into the rental and drove to the port where we dropped it off and then a short shuttle to the boat. Check in was pretty painless, but we did have to wait ...

1st Time on RCL. It was awesome

We always wanted to see this huge ship. It was amazing. We went star class, booking our trip almost 2 years in advance. So with that we had a lot of extra perks ($$$) there were 7 of us so it was worth it. We had a genie (Joyce) and she took care of everything. We were on and off the ship, even through customs, in just minutes. The specialty restaurants were amazing. We loved our cabin. In the ...

We chose this ship for the experience of the larger ship. It was indeed an "experience". PROS - beautiful, modern ship with great entertainment and activities. Embarkation and Debarkation went smoothly. Our dining room servers and cabin stewards were absolutely wonderful. CONS - too many people, things seemed a bit unorganized. They had no record of our onboard credit, lost one of ...

Good...but Not Great

The Oasis is a great ship, but she is getting a bit dated and has lost some of her luster. Furniture, carpets, etc. need to be replaced. Service was excellent except for the main dining room. We had about 700+ Orthodox Jews on board and they absorbed a lot of the main dining room staff's time as their meals had to be Kosher. Nothing wrong with that as we found the Solarium Bistro, Windjammer, ...

First of all, kudos to the Terminal 1 parking and terminal operation at Port Canaveral - a remarkable operation to enable a very satisfactory embarkation and disembarkation. Deserves to become the ideal model in cruiseship terminals. This was our 18th cruise - 4th with RCL. We arrived before 11 am and were having lunch around noon. Certainly a massive ship at capacity which seemed rare for ...

We were originally scheduled on Allure of the Seas. We wanted to stay with the same week as we had cabin 10329 and wanted the Oasis class as we had not been on Oasis class. We flew into Miami, stayed in Fort Lauderdale (our original port) and drove to Orlando for Oasis. The rental car return at the port is very convenient and the shuttle got us to the ship in minutes and we were on board ...
