Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

From the very start it felt as if they were pushing anything that was an extra charge. The specialty dining rooms, the multitude of drink packages. There was a $7.95 fee (to which an additional 18% would be added) for room service, and an $11.95 fee for an in room movie, with absolutely no options for free. What happened to chocolates on the pillow? Complementary beach bag? It appears that Royal ...

Not my favorite cruise

Booked this cruise to hang out with people I met on a prior cruise. I had been on this ship before, and it was okay. I was telling the other people about shows, restaurants, etc on the ship, which they were anxious to experience. $53.00 per person for Chops Grill, $9.95 + 18% gratuity at Johnny Rockets? I can get a better steak dinner on land for equal or less, and can certainly go to a good ...

My daughter and I arrived to the cruise port around 10:15 in the morning. We parked our car at the terminal and carried our luggage to the porters. Quickly went thru security and check in counter and stood close to the boarding area. The room was already full but boarding started shortly after....just before eleven. They started with suites and diamond and worked down from there. Don’t sit in ...

We have been on the Oasis of the Seas 3 times and each time it gets better and better! The staff of the ship goes above and beyond. There is so much to do on the ship and you can do as much or as little as you want at the ports of call. We have taken our kids each time and they enjoy the kids club. My husband and I did the zipline over the ocean in Haiti and it was an amazing experience. We ...

This was a great family vacation. We were traveling with a 9year old and a 10 year old as well as a 17 and 19 year old and it was a good way for everyone to have a good time in their own way. This ship itself was gorgeous, it was updated and unique, and was open. However due to its large size, it could fit a lot of people, over 5000. This made it quite crowded. I have never waited in so many ...

The brightest and best memory of an outstanding crew member was our always smiling and cheery, Micki, Beverage staff in the Globe & Atlas bar! She had a wonderful outlook and gave us lots of information and advice, especially telling us about the 10 drink card for $79 which we then purchased, plus she told us about Izumi for sushi and sake! Micki was awesome!!! On that same day, we went to Izumi ...

We chose this cruise because it fit our schedules and to get away from cold weather for a week. Stayed in Cocoa Beach the night before which I highly suggest. Well rested we shuttled to the cruise port arriving by 10:30 am. We were a group of 5, all Diamond members. Registration went smoothly and after a short wait we were on the ship by 11:20. Our inside cabin was on the 7th floor mid ...

Look past the disappointments (Because there will be some) and enjoy the moment

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Oasis of the Seas

The Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas is beautiful with a lot of amenities. However, during our cruise, two of our shows were canceled & later rescheduled only for one to not happen at all for what was slated as "Technical Difficulties." It was a disappointment as I was really looking forward to seeing the show from what I had heard about it. In addition, I will still never understand why there ...

I now like RCCL and that was love. Just got off Oasis and a little disappointed. Their was five main shows to see. I signed up for each show beforehand. 1. Dreams was canceled due to sickness of one performer. Rescheduled time at 5:15 so went to the show which was in afternoon with the sun setting right in my eyes so now light show with this performance. Missed my dinner time and went to a full ...

Too much smoke in the open elevator shafts

Smoking, in the casino drafts into the elevators and MDR! This is a poor arrangement and for me totally unacceptable. Embarkation seemed well organized but lunch seemed over crowded and inaccessible. There were NO enrichment seminars which was a disappointment. Bingo was scheduled after a presentation, but the cards were being sold in the theatre while the presentation was going on. ...
