The opposite of relaxing

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Freedom of the Seas

Overall the cruise was the opposite of relaxing, the staff gave conflicting and often wrong information about what is included and free and what is not. Salespeople aggressively hounded us so we couldn't relax in the promenade area during the bad weather. Everywhere we went including the restaurants we were aggressively pushed to tip over and above the prepaid gratuities. Even at reduced ...

This was our first cruise since 2018! We love cruising and missed it during the pandemic. Then my husband got Covid and was sick to the point where we had to wait nearly a year before he felt well enough to travel again. But Freedom of the Seas was GORGEOUS, and our cruise was perfect. Everything we love about cruising came together for this trip: An amazing, sparkling clean ship full of things to ...

A fun time but crowded

We were on with extended family, including three teenagers. There was plenty to do on board but it felt very crowded. This was our second post-pandemic cruise. The first one was only about 35% capacity. This one felt completely full. The lines were long for the Flow Rider and it was hard to get show reservations. Windjammer was pretty crowded too. But overall we had a good time and the kids ...

Coco Cay and the Crew of RC

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Freedom of the Seas

We actually went October 2021 and the water was very cold! The outside air was warm but the water in the wave pool was ice cold so we got to our ankles and then just went to the slides. The crew on board was AWESOME! However the clientele around us was horrible. Food was good too. Their soda drink package is better than Carnivals. You get specialty coffee etc. enjoyed walking ...

Back to Cruising and It Feels So Good!

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Freedom of the Seas

My husband and I chose this cruise as a quick weekend getaway with another couple who had never cruised before. It was also the first time we have ever cruised without our children. Our last time cruising pre-COVID was a sailing on Anthem in August 2019, plus it was my 40th birthday, so we splurged on an Owner's Suite, Unlimited Dining & Deluxe Beverage packages, and a Floating Cabana at Coco Cay! ...

Fun boat with great service and truly horrible food

We had a fairly good vacation on The Freedom of the Seas. It was our first RC cruise and even though we love cruising, we're not sure if we'll book another with RC. I had originally booked another boat and bought tickets to Coco Cay at a very good price. The company swapped boats and cancelled my Coco Cay tickets. When I asked if I could get them for the same price again, they refused so I had to ...

Just a quick get-a-way

We were on this ship right before they did the renovations on the pool deck, so we wanted to come back and see what the changes were. Embarkation and Disembarkation were a breeze. This trip by far was the quickest we were ever able to get on a ship, without waiting in long lines. Everyone at the Miami port were very friendly and welcoming. The ship is beautiful. All the staff were ...

Discriminatory Cruise Policy

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Freedom of the Seas

This a is complain about the discriminatory policy that the Cruise Lines Royal Caribbean is applying to the passengers right now. Even when they are requesting a negative Covid test before to get the ship, the no vaccinated persons have to do another test at their cost to confirm that they are negative. But that is not enough for them, once inside, they don’t let the no vaccinated people to ...

Not on my bucket list anymore.

I went with someone who insisted that cruises were great. Wasnt impressed, wont cruise again. Because of the confusion of check in time. VS. Muster Station drill. We arrived 3 hours early. And sat and waited...for 3 hours. (?) No Sail Away party. And I was told those were great..? Nothing for dinner but Pizza.. (unless you paid extra). No entertainment. Maybe there was, but I never found it. Main ...
