From the time we arrived to check in EVERYONE was Amazing. I use a cane and from the time we walked in to check-in there was help. Everyone from the room stewards, waitress and waiters to the Captains ( yes they are visable and approachable) . The trip was awesome, the scenery breaktaking, took the shore excursion, Whale watching & Safari photo shoot of Menendall Glacier in Juneau and loved it. ...
Spent 2 1/2 days in Seattle prior to cruise and loved it. So much to do and see. Purchased City Passes and did everything. Saved a ton of money by doing that. Stayed at The Mediterrean Inn which was nice. Got to see Mt. Rainer on the day we were leaving. What a site!
In terms of experiences, this was the best ever. The scenery, landscape, wildlife met all my expectations. We did the ...
The weather for this cruise was unbelievable! Early May and not a drop of rain - 9 full days of sun! The route took us around Glacier Bay, as well as ports in Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, and Icy Straight Point. The scenery everywhere was breathtaking! This was a beautiful itinerary, and we were not disappointed with our views.
The service was just average. Most of the time we waited ...
After sailing 9 times since 2011 on Princess and having the service and conditions on the ship going downhill fast "last cruise Nov. 2014 yellow water came out of sink and black ring around toilet" my wife and I tried Norwegian we just wish we had done it sooner. The Jewel was a beautiful ship very clean with the best staff and crew we have ever sailed with and the food omg no comparison it was so ...
Ok, So my adventure started off at the Pier in Seattle for the Norwegian Jewel 9 day round trip Alaskan cruise.
My husband and I arrived at the pier and the crowds were not to bad yet so we proceeded to drop off our luggage but they stopped my husband as his birth certificate was not valid. He could not board at all so we decided I would go and since we had 2 others on board to keep me ...
This was my first cruise and it was wonderful from start to finish. My daughter treated us and came with us so we had a penthouse on the 11th floor. The cabin was lovely and very roomy. We had a butler called Jennifer who brought us treats twice a day. Our steward Arvan was really friendly and remembered our names from day one. We had the ultimate dining package and the drinks package. We ate in ...
This was my third cruise. My first was a Carribean the second was in Hawaii. All three with Norwegian. To my surprise the Alaskan cruise was my favorite by far. So much to see. I loved waking up and looking off the balcony of my storeroom to see a new beautiful destination almost every day. The day we spent in Glacier Bay was my favorite. Such beauty all viewed while relaxing on a beautiful ship. ...
This was the third cruise to Alaska in the past ten years for the wife and I, and the second time we have cruised aboard the Jewel. Our previous cruise aboard the Jewel was out of New Orleans in February 2014, for a W. Caribbean cruise.
We arranged our own flight into Seattle and the ground transportation to Pier 66. The embarkation for Latitude members was very quick and easy. We had a ...
This is our 7th cruise with NCL, our 3rd to Alaska. The ports were wonderful, the weather perfect and we had long times in port, plenty of time to do everything. We especially liked Brooke with Frontier Excursions in Skagway, 2 1/2 hr. White Pass/Skagway trip. She is local, very knowledgeable, and reasonable, the van was brand new, and holds 10, so it was personal. We like to give local ...
This was my 3rd cruise to Alaska on NCL. Some folks ask me why I keep going back to Alaska. 1) Well, it's a beautiful state, 2) I love the cool weather as opposed to the hot n humid weather of the Caribbean, 3) there are always new excursions and things to see that I didn't see last time.
My first cruise was in 2003 on the NCL Norwegian Sun. My 2nd cruise was in 2011 on the NCL Pearl and this ...
