Nice common areas on deck - appreciated the stage area in a central spot that was consistent with music and entertainment throughout sea days and in the afternoons as cruisers were returning to the ship.

My wife and I are experienced cruisers. First cruise with NCL on a 14 day Cruise from Vancouver to Alaska return. The entertainment was excellent. The food quality in the Garden Buffet was very good. We went to the dining room on three occasions and found the food was below standard from what other cruise lines offer. The onion soup being served was poor. The salad was over dressed with salad ...

When it came time to book our very first cruise, we researched everything we could...dining options, entertainment, onboard amenities, itineraries...and we decided that NCL offered what we wanted. Freestyle dining? Yes please! Wide range of entertainment including Broadway shows? Heck yeah! Interesting itineraries? Yep, lots to choose from. Sadly, much of what led us to NCL is no longer ...

An Alaska cruise has been on our bucket list for quite some time so when planning this, I saw that the Jewel was a potential itinerary. We sailed on the Jewel back in 2007 (Italy and France) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Seeing that it was renovated recently, we thought we'd give it a try and we were glad that we did. My wife and I sailed with our two daughters (in their 20's). We booked the ...

A few issues

Chose the cruise for its Alaskan itinerary, and because we had enjoyed our Pride of America Hawaiian cruise several years ago. This ship is more luxurious, but we preferred the informality of the POA. The first problem we encountered was upon entering our cabin with an "oceanview picture window". The window was filthy with rust and salt spray between the panes, so the "view" was very ...

First cruise, best vacation I had so far, sold my mom into cruising!

I planned on booking this cruise for June 2020, but we all know what happened. While 2022 allowed cruising to Alaska from Vancouver, we opted to wait it out for another year to see how they operate with covid being endemic. Now this year, all restrictions are gone, allowing us to freely move around like the pre-pandemic days. I booked everything: flights, hotels, rental cars, post-cruise ...

First Ever Cruise & It Was Awesome

Never cruised before so specifically chose to do north bound Alaska as always wanted to do this cruise and just in case cruising wasn't for us we could at least say we have done it. But we had nothing to worried about as we loved every moment of the entire cruise. The ship felt so fresh and luxurious. The oceanview room was larger than we expected and felt like a high level compact hotel room. ...

Quality of food is not what it used to be

The food is what we previously enjoyed the most, this time it was what we enjoyed the least. The specialty restaurants Cagney’s and Le Bistro had only a few tasty dishes but overall they weren’t anything to write home about either. The coffee everywhere on the ship was like twice recycled dish water. Guessing this is a push to buy the premium drink package. Most of the staff on the ship were ...

Although, we have cruised many times with NCL, this is our first time on this ship, the first time in Alaska and the first time in an aft cabin and we have loved all of it. NCL have excelled themselves with this itinerary and with this ship, we can't fault a single thing! Alaska is amazing, beautiful and the weather was very kind to us with sunshine every day, we will definitely be back! We ...
