Great way to see the islands!!

We chose this cruise because we couldn't decide which island to visit, and didn't want to include the ocean crossing in our holiday--so that meant travelling on NCL Pride of America!! Having been spoiled with HALs food a couple of years ago, we found that to be plentiful but average; they were trying hard, and we didn't try any of the extra fee dining (except for milkshakes in the Cadillac ...

I have cruised more than 20 times and found Pride of America to be a nice size ship for getting around. The room was smaller with less storage space then the last NCL ship I was on. I must say that the 2 shows I saw were the best I have ever seen on a cruise ship. The shows were crisp and well done. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the food service. Not once regardless of whether it was ...

We did a lot of research prior to our trip. We traveled with our family, total of 7 people. 5 adults and 2 children. I will continue this review and add pictures over the next couple of days. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend the Pride Of America to anyone wanting to visit Hawaii. This is the perfect way to visit the islands of Hawaii. The ship was very clean. The ...

My wife and I met with our AAA Travel Agent six months in advance to plan a Hawaiian vacation. The package included three days on Oahu before embarking on a seven-day cruise to four additional islands on Norwegian Cruise Line's The Pride of America. Cutting to the chase, it was FABULOUS! One concern in our planning was my wife's numerous food allergies. These were sent to the Cruise Line well ...

We chose Pride of America as it seemed to be the best and easiest way to see Hawaii and the islands. Getting on the ship was very easy and we were on just after 12.15 (lunchtime). However, we heard (after a few hours wait) they were doing a full sanitation of the ship and we didn't get to out cabins until almost 5.00pm. As we did not have access to the cases we were unable to use the pool or sit ...

Agreed with the other posters....not the best NCL cruise

We took the NCL Jewel in '15 to Alaska. The food was great, the staff was great, the excursions were great. The POA is not the same. The food is okay....not great, but not horrible. You need to season everything. We booked 3 shore excursions with the ship, and there was some sort of issue with each one. We were also overcharged on our prepaid service and gratuities. Drinks are not ...

If one wants to see several islands without having to pack up and move this is the way. Hawaii is beautiful, day and night. Cruising made getting around easy. The cruise itself was ok. Did NCL 3 day tour of Oahu before cruise. It was excellent, great driver/tour guide. Was able to stay at Cultural Center for Luau and get other transportation back to hotel. The ship only has 2100 guests so ...

I booked my own excursions, independent of NCL. Was very happy with my choices. We took this cruise as it was the only one that did island cruise. Since it was, they could overcharge for everything. Inflated prices for such things as water and laundry. (No self-serve laundry). Food was terrible. Dining room understaffed and we were rushed though our meals - sometimes finishing ...

FIRST CRUISE

We chose to do this cruise so that we could get to see more of Hawaii on a short stay. It was convenient to be able to not have to pack and unpack every time we went somewhere else. We did the Freestyle package in an OK partially obstructed view room. Embarkation was a slow and arduous. We were sitting on deck of ship for four hours before our room was ready. Not impressed. In saying ...

What a wonderful way to see the Islands. We boarded around 3:30 and were able to get into our room about 4:45. The ship was clean, and nicely remodeled. The food in the Aloha Cafe was great. A lot of variety and excellent food. Our food in the dining room was so/so. We liked the ambiance, but didn't think the food was outstanding. We also tried East Meets West and we had a nice meal. The ...
