We chose this cruise because this was our first trip to Hawaii and we wanted to experience as much as we could in 7 days. We had done a 12-night Mediterranean cruise with NCL a couple years ago, and found it to be a great way to see a lot in little time. No need to spend time during the day travelling to your next destination when you can go by boat and travel by night, not have to change ...
This cruise was relatively disappointing in terms of the ship and the staff, because we had been on NCL's Breakaway and Getaway before. Pride of America can't hold a candle to the newer ships Breakaway and Getaway, and yet Pride of America was more expensive. The ship was older and offered less, the pool was tiny, and the cabins were small and not kept very clean. We had the 2-bedroom family suite ...
It's our first time inHawaii so we decided to take the cruise to see a little bit of everything. My main concern was the cruise line. As soon as the ship started moving, I(and people from my group) could feel the ship moving. I have cruised with royal carribean and carnival cruise before and I never felt sea sick before. I was constantly at the guest services asking for the sea sick pills. We ...
We chose this cruise because it stopped at all the islands, and no "sea days". Four of us traveling and we all had been to Hawaii once before during our lives, individually. All of us have cruised many times. My husband and I have sailed Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Viking, Avalon, Celebrity, etc.
The ship looks very nice throughout.....balcony cabin size is on the smaller side than what we're ...
We have sailed on this ship 4 times along with sailing on the Norwegian Star around Hawaii 3 times. The renovations have really made a difference with nicer outdoor furniture and more outdoor covered spaces to protect from the strong Hawaii sun. The Pride of America singers and dancers were terrific along with the singers in Oh What a Night.
The food in the main dining room is much improved so ...
This cruise is the best to see the islands in a short amount of time. The ship is an older ship with a mostly American crew. Food is mediocre. The entertainment on board was good. We had difficulties with our room as we had scalding hot water in our sink in the bathroom. We asked four times and as of the last night on board never did have cold water. DO NOT book the Arizona Memorial tour as ...
Our cruise was just as other reviewers had mentioned. It's all about the islands, yet it should not be since you are paying a little fortune to get there. The boat was nothing out of this world, the shows where poor in comparison with other cruise lines that I have traveled on. Food was nothing to write home about either. The staff where great, very friendly, helpful (talking about what to ...
We choose this cruise to celebrate my mother-in-laws 70th birthday as it was her dream to see Hawaii and this cruise allows you the perfect taste of each island. My husband and would better know what to do if we returned for another visit to Hawaii in the future.
The organization of the cruise is very well done from embarkation through disembarkation. As long as you follow the cruise line ...
This cruise delivered exactly what we needed: a comfy hotel for a 7 night Hawaii stay among 4 islands.
I LOVED the cruise terminals on all the islands - easiest off/on I've ever experienced! Everyone is so laid back. In Honolulu on boarding day, it was a breeze. At other cruise ports like West Palm and Miami, you feel like herded sheep. In Honolulu, it's easy, happy, relaxed.
We had read ...
We had the time of our lives on this cruise. Does this mean that the Pride of America was the best cruise ship ever? No, it was not, but it was FINE. Truthfully, after reading some of the reviews on this website, I was worried I had made a huge mistake booking this cruise, but it was fine.
This was a family trip for myself, DH & DD's ages 10 & 13. We have been on many cruises. This was our ...
