We were a little disappointed with this cruise as we were looking forward to it for 12 months. Did not seem to have any time to relax onboard as we seemed to be forever taking shore excursions, which you have to do to see the islands. All the island tours are very similar and the commentary from the drivers (tour guides) is the same on every island. (Tuned out on the comments after hearing about ...
This is the only ship that goes around the islands without cruising half way through the Pacific. To be honest I didn't have high hope on the ship before the trip but everything turned out to be much better than I expected. They did a good job in refurbishing the ship and there were enough choices of restaurants to satisfy different tastes. There were no at sea days and it stopped overnight in ...
My mom and I decided to take a very last minute cruise on NCL's POA. When I say last minute, I mean, I called on the 20th and got the LAST cabin available for the cruise leaving on the 22nd. My mom is 62 and I'm 43. If I were to guess the average age of the guests on the ship, I would say around mid 60s. We had cabin 7570 which is an obstructed ocean view.
I was pleasantly pleased with ...
Me and my wife just celebrated are 25th anniversary on the Pride of America. We brought are 12 year old daughter with us. We did a upgrade 3 weeks out from an inside cabin to a port side balcony room 9628. We were surprised with all of the negative reviews of this ship and felt the opposite. No bad smells, American crew was awesome! I will do a day by day with some tips that might be ...
We just returned from the Pride of America 7 night cruise around Hawaii. In a nutshell for those who don't want to read details, we really enjoyed the cruise and felt it was a great way to see several Hawaiian islands easily. If/when we return to Hawaii, we would pick 1 or 2 and stay on land and explore in more depth. P.S. we found the ship to be far better than expected from reading many past ...
We just returned from an amazing week aboard the Pride of America. We went with my in-laws. Ages 53 to 78. We all loved it. I read many reviews prior to going on and was a little worried about the service of the staff from previous reviews BUT there was NO worries.
From beginning to end, we were greeted, treated and pampered with a warm welcome and smile on their faces.
Our room was ...
Aloha!!
Pride of America was stunning, and everyone that was working on the ship were awesome and really made us feel at home. Our room and balcony were beautiful, we had a breathtaking views of Hawaii's beautiful islands.
This was a wonderful way to view Hawaii for the first time. I am truly sad my trip is over and I wish I could have stayed on the cruise for many more weeks as I just had ...
For those who previously gave reviews for the Hawaiian Cruise via Norwegian Pride Of America you should be ashamed of yourselves. Either you had very low expectations, it was your first time cruising, or you out and out lied (?). This was my third cruise and by far the worst I've been on. I will never, ever get on another Norwegian Cruise ship because it was horrible compared to the other two ...
We chose this cruise for our first visit to Hawaii because its focus was the major islands: O'ahu, Maui, Hawaii, and Kuai. All movement between islands was overnight, leaving our days for exploring. Both embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly. We were quickly and easily on and off the ship throughout the cruise experience. The Pride of America appeared clean and fresh, including our ...
We sailed the Pride of America so as to be able to see all 4 islands. We'd visited Hawaii before and really didn't want to waste the time in the airports to fly from island to island. From the moment we reached the pier til we got on the shuttle to leave we were treated like royalty. The ship is clean and well maintained. The refurbishing dine recently definitely shows. Very nice job.
We had a ...
