Itinerary included Iceland and Halifax! Loved our ports and excursions. Not fond of the escargot served to me....totally messed up! There were some nights the dining room menu did not offer beef....
Princess Pop choir had 52 passengers. Thanks to our Princess Pop choir leader Melanie from England! It was alot of fun meeting other choir members, becoming friends and singing with them! ...
We chose this cruise because we've never been on a transatlantic cruise, really wanted to see Iceland, and thought this would be a wonderful way to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We have taken about 20 cruises with almost all big ship cruise companies, but the most with Princess. We are Platinum members.
We found the evening shows and daily activities to be very limited and not very ...
This very useful. web-site Cruise critic does not accept reviews written in Portuguese, to get an English version I used translators software available at internet.
Our trip in Crown Princess ship was pleasant, there were a big number of travelers around 3300, most English speaking people in advanced age. Food and wine were reasonable, the Grill restaurant is not included but it is great and ...
I chose this cruise because it was supposed to go to Lerwick in the Shetlands. The weather wasn't very cooperative but that isn't the ships fault. The ship had a few problems and it needed work. The furnishings were worn and needed updating. The elevators were always under repair. Despite this the Crown is one of my favorite ships. It's easy to get around and she sails well even when it's ...
We completed our 25th Princess cruise on this trip and are still loyal to Princess. Actually, we did three back to back cruises with this trip being the third. Yes, agree that the ship needs some updating, the beds replaced, linens updated, and some of the furniture around the ship. We understand the ship is going in for a number of these updates in a few months.
The service on the ship ...
The Crown Princess is an older ship but well kept. I was traveling alone and had an interior room. I really liked the room layout and design. No bigger or smaller than other ships I've been on, just very well organized flow. My cabin steward and dining room servers were wonderful, They always asked if there were any special requests and went out of their way to accommodate them. Food in main ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary, northern Atlantic including Iceland and the Shetland Islands. The good part of the trip was the staff, very friendly and courteous. The business model is discouraging with continuous pestering to get a little more money from the passengers. One example is adding dining choices with extra costs, wine tasting, and selling bottles of water to go ashore. The ...
Two of the reasons that my wife and I chose this particular Transatlantic was that I was scheduled for the Shetland Island, Scotland and Iceland. These particular destinations were not being offered in 2018 and we wanted to see them, thus our decision.
Due to high winds and heavy seas, the Crown did not stop at the Shetland Island port of call as there was a safety concern, and I understand ...
I took it because it stopped at 3 ports in Iceland--that part was great. However, I booked an OCEAN VIEW CABIN. It did NOT have a view of the ocean. Although I complained, the problem was not resolved to my satisfaction. The activities aboard were very few. Hundreds of people jammed into a room to play Trivia because there was nothing else to do, and they had to get another room, so then both ...
We took this cruise because of the itinerary. We were very interested in seeing more of Iceland. The 3 stops were great! The Arctic Fox Center was a nice surprise. Beautiful scenery along the way. Another reason we chose this cruise was for the Shetland Islands visit. We had never been to the Shetland Islands. Alas, we still have not been to the Shetlands. Rough seas prevented us from ...
