The itinerary on the cruise was excellent - a passage visiting Greece, Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Oman and Dubai. Cairo was cut from the itinerary one day after the final payment date, which was a disappointment and some passengers felt a devious move. A few passengers made alternate plans to visit Cairo by alternate means either during or after the cruise.
The embarkation in Athens and ...
October perfect weather for a ten-day Malta, Sicily, and Greek Isles. The spacious 288 penthouse cabin 8010 was a super location - slightly away from the elevator but close enough to be convenient. Our traveling companions were next door and we had the obliging staff remove the separating balcony panel allowing us to have one large balcony. We enjoyed the two specialty restaurants, The Polo ...
We enjoyed everything about our cruise which was booked through Go Next travel agency through the Brown University travelers. Our verandah state room was very nice although the bathroom was a little tight, especially the shower. We booked two more cruises on Oceania while on the ship. My wife enjoyed the spa. The food was plentiful and excellent with great variety. Internet service was good as ...
Let me start off by saying WOW!!
I have sailed on other cruise lines to more local destinations in South Africa so it wasn't my first time @ the rodeo BUT my experience on the Oceania Nautica was nothing short of mind blowing!!
Embarkation and dis-embarkation were easy breezy, previous experiences on other cruises led me to dread these two activities and in fact I had nothing to worry ...
Friends recommended oceania cruises because of the good food.
The food was good, but compared to the other cruiselines where we booked balcony huts in Europe since 2010, this was by far the worst in size, also the bathroom was far too small.
The service was very good and the ship is very quiet compared to MSC, Norwegian, Costa.
The food was good, but not exceptional. Dinner in the Polo ...
This cruise reminded us of Azamara with whom we have often sailed. Boarding and disembarkation was smooth, efficient and fast. We had a very comfortable windowed cabin with plenty of storage. The shower and bathroom were small but adequate. There was a good range of in room DVD entertainment with well informed TV schedule. We enjoy good food and great service and would rate both of these at 10 out ...
As the saying goes, how many chances do you have to make a first impression?
We have traveled on several cruise lines including Disney, Princess and some smaller ones. Oceania was the most non-caring in their treatment of the entire cruise experience. The one I enjoyed the least.
Boarding was a bad start: 45 minute wait standing in a "snake line" to register. This, after an all night ...
This was our second Oceania cruise. We had pretty high expectations and most of them were met. It's true that the ship is getting a little tired looking: railings that needed refinishing, paint that was chipped. However, it was meticulously clean and our concierge level cabin was very nice. Dining is always a highlight. The Grand Dining room is lovely and the food terrific. There were times that ...
We like small ships and river cruises so Oceania was a preference over larger ships to see these locations. Verandah stateroom was roomy enough although bathroom and shower were small (not a surprise if you follow Cruise Critic). MDR food was good although we could not say it was head & shoulders above everyone else, as some would have us believe. Both specialty restaurants were better - we ...
We choose Oceania on the recommendation of some friends who had taken their cruise in Alaska. In looking at the itinerary I saw that on Nautica's August 28, 2016 itinerary, there were some ports we had not been to so that is why I choose Oceania.
Everything (food, cabin, staff, ports, etc.) about it was excellent!!! The ratio of passengers to staff makes for very personal service.
We liked ...
