Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Carnival Valor

First & last cruise. Ship needs a deep clean & repairs in lots of areas. Horrible sewage smell! Extremely crowded to the point you could not enjoy yourself. Tried the hot tub but always full, even the “adult” only ones (kids everywhere). The pools are sitting pools not swimming & again seemed to always be packed. Food is made of very poor quality ingredients (that was not crawfish on the pasta or ...

My first Christmas in a cruise and really enjoyed it!!!!! Great food, the shows were awesome and really loved the ports we stopped!!!! Will love to go back!!! Since you embarkation they make you feel like queen and king. I will tell you, I didn't have time to use the pool, but it looked good. The Guys burgers are on point and the blue iguana have tasty tacos. Didn't have a ...

Carnival Valor was a little disappointing. I had a better time on the Elation and that ship is tiny compared to the Valor. Food in the buffet and dining room was horrible. Burgers, burritos and the Wok was good. Entertainment was ok but needs work. Just not impressed. Love and marriage show was horrible. That’s usually our favorite show of the cruise. Movies were good. Lido entertainment could ...

Sardines in a Can, better staff and entertainment at Military Bases

This cruise was pretty fun. I like cities and the cruise had an atmosphere of a city in which everyone was trying to have fun. In the way sardines in a can are trying to have fun together. The other guests were the only form of entertainment that was remotely enjoyable on board. The crew was mediocre. While they clearly projected friendliness, they cut every corner possible and only smiled or ...

CONS So this was our first cruise the food was terrible. we an my wife had upset stomachs the whole time. The best thing in our opinion was the salad and we like eating over here. The first night on the boat they did not have the a/c on and we about sweat to death trying to sleep naked on top of the covers. They tried to charge us an extra $160 for tips after we were tipping like $5 for 2 ...

A group I'm a member of booked this ship. Started out with bad experience as the help I signed up for to get a wheelchair bound family member on board did not come to help. Ordered trays of fruit, veggies to our room for my low blood sugar. After 2 days and lots of contacting staff members food never showed up I said just take it off my bill. There was not ONE accessible pool or hot tub so we ...

We loved our vacation. We have cruised many times. We are always treated exceptionally. The atmosphere was very calm and relaxed. Will cruise again when school is in session, I believe it's the best time to go. The studio show was very entertaining. We also enjoyed the cruise in movies and the popcorn made it feel like we were at a driving movie. We had incredible servers at the main dinning ...

I have been on at least 7 Carnival cruises. We picked the Valor as my boyfriend has family in the New Orleans area and we were looking for a cruise out of this port. We took a 4 day cruise with one port of call in Cozumel. We had been on the Glory before which left out of NOLA and I believe is the same size ship. Here's my take on the ship/cruise: Pros: This port is super easy to get in and ...

Ship lacked air conditioning

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Valor

I chose this ship Carnival Valor because Carnival always has multiple things to do on its ship comedy show, trivia games , deal or no deal. The carnival valor felt very warm overall in many areas throughout the ship, throughout the length of the trips making it very uncomfortable for guests. My room itself was measuring at 80 degrees the first day we arrived. I had to request to be switch ...
