We enjoyed our first cruise since 2019 on the Sapphire Princess, the crew were exceptional, some being new to this industry. Love the fact that we had managers pitching in with service to ensure we had a pleasant experience.
Cabin steward Miguel was excellent for our area E723. Yes we had some cabin issues but him and his supervisor communicated with us and we didn't feel our issues were not ...
We chose this cruise for our honeymoon to Hawaii from LA. The crew were absolutely wonderful and couldn't have done enough for us. The entertainment was very good but I felt there were too much reliance on singers rather than varied performances and everything shut down at 11pm. We mostly did the trivia and game shows which were excellent. The medallion was a fantastic addition! Embarkation and ...
Ship Itinerary, Food, entertainment and activities has left ti me second thoughts about cruising in the future. First Cruise since Covid, only good thing was it had a challenged new crew which did their best to make it pleasant. Food was a repeat of the last day and same in all the restaurant's, you had no choice of menu change. Buffet so small with a very low standard of selection and tase. ...
I'm going to preface this review with a little of our cruising history. My husband and I are very experienced cruisers with 62 cruises since 2005. We've cruised with Princess several times, along with Carnival, Holland America, Celebrity, MSC and, our favorite, Norwegian. Out of those cruises, we'd rate this cruise (with #1 as fantastic and #62 as horrible) as number 55 and that's being ...
We were aboard the first Sapphire Princess cruise (10 days R/T LA to Mexico) after she was out of service for 2+ years.
Here's what I found:
This was truly a shakedown cruise.
Minor "technical" issues such as elevators out of service, A/C problems, sound system issues, were pretty frequent.
Ship is pretty clean. At least some percentage of the staff has been aboard since March working ...
Cruise no. 22. First time in Asia. First time with Princess Cruises. We use to cruise in the Mediterranean and Caribbean.
Very good and efficient embarkation and disembarkation.
Itinerary: Singapore; Kota Kinabalu (Borneo, Malaysia); Nha Trang (Vietnam); Phu My (Saigon, Vietnam); Laem Chabang (Pattaya & Bangkok, Thailand); Koh Samui (Thailand); Singapore (11 nights).
Safety: excellent ...
We have been on princess over ten times. We enjoyed Princess in the past but if this cruise is any indication of Princess today, I would urge you to spend your Cruise dollars elsewhere.
We have been on the Princess Sapphire 3 times. This last time really showed how old, tired, dirty the Sapphire is.
Our sliding glass balcony, "Club Class" door did not work and was never properly fixed. We ...
For my spouse and myself a Southeast Asia Cruise has been on our Bucket List for some time. We were excited when we saw Princess offering this 21 night cruise at a reasonable price. Overall, we had a very positive experience aboard this ship but unfortunately, due to concerns regarding the possibility of the Coronavirus, the cruise was cut short.
We arrived in Singapore a few days early and ...
We have cruised before but not with Princess. The sapphire was an absolute disgrace. Our stateroom cabin was growing mould!!! it was dirty and decapitated. Mould produces spores which research has shown pre disposes to health related respiratory problems.
In view of the resent corona virus outbreak i would expect infection control and health and safety to be top priority. Shocking!!!
The ...
This was a special cruise for both of us as it was are milestone birthday treat to each other. Although the ship was dated it was clean, the cabin beds are so comfy never had continuous 8 hr sleeps like that before, the staff are great and after a few days they seem to remember your name and we would like to say a massive thank you to our steward SONG who went above and beyond expectations of ...
