We had a desire to visit South east Asia and we felt that a good offer was made price wise for the cruise and 3 extra nights in Singapore, which is wonderful. The inside room was not very large but it was clean and the attendant was good. Food in the restaurants was nearly always good although not a large selection if you do not like seafood and the service was excellent. Happily our 8 person ...
Should have arrived in Singapore a day earlier to appreciate the accommodation, but apart from that every ran smoothly from pick up, arrival at wharf and embarkation. After reading some other reviews, we were expecting a run down ship but for us it was business as usual. Cabin was great, plenty of space for the boss and her clothes and the cabin steward was great. Dined in the Vivaldi Room, meals ...
Took a short cruise as wasn't sure if everyone would like it. We all wish it had been longer.
There were 7 of us. Ages 68, 2 young 40's, 2 19 yr olds, a 16 yr old and one 11 year old.
The 11 year old joined the kid's club and preferred to stay on board to be with her new friends than go out with us touring. The parents felt good about leaving her with the minders on board as there were child ...
We encountered a rude room steward (not our room steward) that just appeared out of nowhere very rude to us.
Also, Crew need to be more careful when cleaning the area above the Mini Suites rooms.
Dirty water pouring into our open balcony making everything dirty.
During Muster Drill, discovered many people lifevests lights faulty. I asked crew @ Muster Drill, they told me to ask my room ...
Having sailed with several other cruise lines, I have to say that the service we received from every single member of the Princess team was first class. Better than we have ever experienced from any other company.
That said, there are a few areas where Princess really let themselves down on this trip. The Sapphire is due for a complete refurbishment in the next couple of months so it was no ...
Have sailed on 3 Princess cruises. This cruise was a disappointment. Very disorganized. Ship needs updated. Tender disembarkation a nightmare. Internet access very bad. Dinner menu very uninteresting. My husband ordered the Alfredo from the nightly available items 4 times! All meat except the tenderloin, very tough. Our room steward not accessible. Never answered 3 o f our pages. Never ...
We chose this cruise as we haven’t cruised to this area before.
Pros; the ship is great, a bit old but clean. Our room was excellent as was our steward. We had one for 11 days, then he went on holiday & we had someone else for the rest of the cruise. We couldn’t fault either of them. Our room was always ready when we came back from breakfast & he gave us 2 extra towels every day.
Food was ...
we took this cruise because of timing 21 days was just right however we did not realise when we booked that in fact this was a 2 cruise sector going up and down from Singapore .
however the cruises were fine the ship is getting a bit jaded but overall is good the service was first class the meals were fine and our cabin C105 was very good and plenty of space and quiet
what we did not like ...
We chose this cruise for its value and destinations. Our cruise ticked all the boxes, the weather was perfect making for smooth sailing. On board the staff were excellent meeting all our needs willingly and they made us feel like family particularly our dining staff. The food was just amazing we can honestly say we did not have one bad meal. We enjoyed all the shows in the Princess Theater and ...
Asia. Was quite disappointed as most of the ports were far away from main destinations, and there is nothing at the ports. The best port was Kota Kinabalu because it is within walking distance to the city. We managed to get local taxis in Phy My, tuk tuk driver in Sihanoukville and a bargain on a taxi in Laem Chabang. No need to take expensive tours from the cruise as the buses have set places and ...
