We are excited to do an Alaskan cruise, and got balcony cabins so we could see the view and enjoy the outdoors. Balcony was approximately 2’ x 6’. Yes the chairs had to be turned sideways to fit on the balcony. The now only have one room make up a day no turn down service. The Buffet for breakfast was literally the same thing for seven days as was the lunch and dinner. The specialty restaurants we ...
We love Alaska and love to cruise (this was number 50 for us) and are NCL Platinum which has some nice perks so when this cruise came up at a fantastic price, we jumped on it. But this was an example of the old truism, "You get what you pay for!"
While the Spirit trumpeted its $100 million makeover, our reaction was, "They should have saved their money." Cabin was small, the cabin service the ...
Norwegian Spirit: loved the size of the ship and the recent refurbishment made it feel like a new ship. Our window cabin 55** was perfect for 2 people. This ship is the quietest one I’ve ever been on. You could hardly hear the engine or feel vibrations. I only went to a few of the production shows and they were of a very high standard. Food onboard was typical of cruise fare but we loved the Asian ...
Just completed a 16 day NCL Spirit cruise. The ship retrofit was nice except for internet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was not up to previous cruises. Mixed drinks are not made with name brand mixers which affected the taste.
Midway on the cruise I got headache, fever, cough, etc. Called the doctor office and was told the doctor visit was $149, plus meds $249. I went in for ...
I should start saying that I am a Platinum Latitude member and I cruised with Other lines and this very ship before.
I think I found my match: the Spirit is small enough where one doesn't have to secure tickets for shows, and there is always a table available at the buffet. However, is big enough for the transoceanic crossing to be smooth and plenty of quiet places if one needs it.
There is ...
My wife has Al's a dying. Choose this cruise because we have never seen Hawaii and Alaska. We are not rookies with NCL, we are diamond member with over 500 sea days with them.
It's sad to see all the cuts they made.
Your room. They now come once a day, not turning the cabin at night.
When boarding 2.30 to 3 pm to get in the cabin.
Little folded animals or chocolates on your pillow. ...
I selected this cruise since it cruised the Hawaiian Islands before setting sail to Alaska. The ship itself is beautiful after its major renovation, we were reluctant at first to select the cabin ocean view right at the front of the ship it was greater than I thought the view of the bow, the rain on the window at night was very nice. We have been to Alaska quite a few times and enjoyed it once ...
I chose this cruise as it hits two of my must see destinations - Hawaii and Alaska.
This was a repositioning cruise out of Honolulu ending at Vancouver. 16 days with 7 or so sea days.
Clientele mostly USA or Canadian on their way home. Age group was primarily 60s and above, though I did see a couple of toddlers under 7. There is really nothing to do for kiddies on the ship so be aware if ...
After thoroughly enjoying a New York to Bermuda cruise on NCL, we were hooked. Plans for a second cruise fell through so I was looking for our next opportunity. We were going to visit our daughter in Australia and decided to take the long way home. I saw a back to back cruise from Sydney to Tahiti and then Tahiti to Honolulu and booked it to experience the South Pacific — a place I dreamed about ...
We went on a group holiday & boarded this ship in Auckland, New Zealand.
Just the right size of ship for me as no sense of direction, so did not take me to long to sort of get my bearings.
Great meals, although I think they need a lesson in cooking broccoli. There is al dente & there is al dente (just seen a pan of hot water & not dipped it’s head in it).
Our room was 11*** & our friends ...
