This was a seven-day cruise roundtrip from Long Beach, California with visits to Puerto Villarta and Cabo San Lucas. Hubby and I are experienced cruisers (close to 50 cruises). Until this cruise, we thought that there could never be a bad cruise. We stand corrected! From beginning to the end, this was a subpar experience.
Embarkation
We arrived early so we could relax in the lounge and ...
The ports and tour I went on were great but the Ship and the program and lunch were not as good as the other cruise I went on. 1) their events on board ship conflicted like I wanted to do Karaoke and I wanted to do Harry Potter Trivia but they conflicted and did not have another trivia of Harry Potter or other events. When we wanted to have lunch we had to go to the buffet instead of the dining ...
We've taken the Mexican Riviera cruise in the past on other Carnival ships and we just wanted a low-key vacation minus the shore excursions. Overall, the cruise went well, the food was good but not exceptional, though the Nick and Nora specialty steakhouse was superb in every way.
One change we noted was that we were asked if we wanted our cabin serviced in the morning or evening. Never heard ...
I was pleasantly surprised at the good value we got when we booked this family cruise on the Carnival Miracle. We traveled the week of April 29-May 6 and I knew ahead of time that this cruise would not compare to my first choice, Royal Caribbean. But really, their business model works. We had the sweetest wait staff at dinner, I loved them all- Arturo, Alemar and Shee. The dining staff seemed to ...
My wife and I had a great time aboard The Miracle. This being our 1st cruise we were not sure what to expect. We know there are bigger ships out there but wanted to start a little smaller.
We found all staff members to be very polite and friendly.
We found there was plenty to do on the ship. The shows were good and the entertainment for the most part throughout the ship was very ...
We had a cabin at the back of the ship and our balcony was well worn and the windows evidently could not be cleaned. We wanted to share a balcony with my sister who had the cabin next door but they told us they could not open it. There were areas around the ship obviously needed to be painted. The food was only satisfactory but the crew was very nice. Our biggest complaint would probably be with ...
This was our second ever cruise, and second Carnival cruise. Embarkation was fast and easy. Although our "check in time" was 1:30, we were on the sip and enjoying a drink by 11:30. Our cabin was clean and comfortable, and our Cabin Steward, Rossi, was wonderful. He gave me a $50 coupon for the Spa, so I got a pedicure, and really enjoyed that. We didn't do any excursions, but enjoyed our ...
I wanted to do a seven day cruise with a family of four without having to fly out of the area to catch a cruise. I read a comment from one previous guest who said that Carnival is the Motel Six of the cruise line. After returning from a Mexican Riviera cruise I would have to disagree. My family and I enjoyed our time on and off the ship. The facilities were adequate and the staff were helpful ...
Though I am a Princess girl, I cruised with a friend who is a Carnival fan. She won. The dining room food was excellent, as were the waiters, but the buffet was stingy. The carver meat was always stringy, tough and overcooked. The choices were thin. Throughout the ship, pastries, in fact most baked goods, tasted more like packaged goods. The room was big enough. The bed was narrower than a twin, ...
We did not have a say in selecting this cruise. Our daughterinlaw set it up as a family group cruise. We were generally "satisfied" but I'll elaborate. Our last two cruises were on Norwegian and Royal Caribbean. Carnival finishes a poor third behind NCL in first place and Royal in second. Food OK, very good in the main dining room. Layout of buffet confusing and chopped up. Norwegian a ...
