The crew was very friendly and always willing to help you with anything. I had FTTF, and it was nice to drop off my carry on bags/beverages before heading off to eat. It also came in very handy at the Guest Services desk. The Muster Drill was a train wreck and took what seemed like 45 minutes. The cabin was a balcony obstructed (deck 5)...and the lifeboat didn't obscure the view enough to care. ...
This was our 4th cruise on Carnival. There was 4 of us in our cabin. We have always enjoyed Carnival in the past and decided to upgrade to a balcony. We were extremely disappointed in the crew and hospitality this trip. Our trip was a total of 6 days and not once did we meet our room steward. We found belongs and paper work from the previous cruisers in our cabin. The bed arrangement was wrong, ...
We chose the Carnival Miracle because we were looking for a fun cruise vacation with our kids. I will admit that I had my reservations about Carnival and the stigma attached to being a party ship. However we were all very pleasantly surprised with our experience on the Miracle. Here is what you need to know about the Carnival Miracle:
Embarkation: We drove and parked in the Carnival Parking ...
Ship was the Miracle, Empress deck 6, balcony, mid. starboard. Embarkation was very smooth with FTTF. Spa crew was pleasant at first, booked some treatments, unfortunately the pedicure and deep tissue massage were not worth the money. Cancelled a facial and from then on Indy was extremely rude the entire rest of the cruise. She, at one point, brought my wife a rolled up, used, wet towel to use. ...
We chose this cruise mainly for the itinerary and not wanting to fly all the way to Hawaii. We stayed on the Queen Mary the night before in Long Beach which was great. The port was well organized and we didn't have to wait long to board. We did have priority boarding because we had a suite. The ship is a bit dated and a little shabby but we really enjoyed the trip overall. We met some amazing ...
This was our dream cruise. We have always wanted to go to Hawaii as we have never been there. So when we saw this cruise with Carnival, we jump at it two years in advance! Everything about this cruise was perfect. We booked everything through Carnival, to include airline tickets and transport from the airport to the port of long beach. Everything, and I mean everything was perfect! We were ...
We spent our pre-cruise night at Best Western of Long Beach. The stay there was compliments of our travel agency, CompanionShips. There were many cruisers staying there as they provide free shuttle service to the port. Another thanks to CompanionShips for recognition of our 43rd wedding anniversary. The Dining Room staff sang and brought us a heart-shaped cake on the first Elegant Night! Very nice ...
Embarkation: Another wonderful Southern California day. Traffic at port was light. We arrived a little early as did many of the 550 Diamond and Platinum guests. Carnival reception and check-in team were dressed appropriately for a Hawaii Cruise. After checking in at the normal reception area we were directed to an outside seating area to wait for embarkation to begin. All in all, it went ...
The restaurant service was a little on the lacking side. We had one night where we never got our drinks until after our meal was over. They seemed to be forgetful or thought someone else was doing it.
The outside service of drinks was non existent. If you didn't go get the drink yourself it would be on hour or MORE before a waiter would come around.
The entertainers we very good dancers but ...
Apparently Carnival has a new policy that they only service the cabin once now and our Steward(ess) never even shows her face anywhere till mid afternoon. So - you barely get your cabin cleaned when it is time to go to bed.
The room is constantly cold during the day, and then, when you would like it cold, it gets hot at night. I believe the thermostat in the room is only to make you feel ...
