For those who say: "Anything but Carnival", they should have been with us the week of July 8 on this ship and itinerary. The service, food, and entertainment were superb.
We have been on over 85 cruises and have done this ship and itinerary before several years ago, but just wanted a summer gettaway other than the usual Caribbean. We flew to Los Angeles and had booked Super Shuttle. They ...
This is our 16 cruise, we have cruised with Carnival multiple times, but, this was the most disappointing cruise ever. It was not the employees, but they lack of service provided. First the ship is so outdated and not very family friendly with its decor. The food was plentiful but strangely common. Almost the same menu a couple nights in the dining room. Our servers (although the same ones ...
I choose this cruise because it left out of Long Beach and we just did not feel like flying this year. I was very disappointed, in the cleanliness of the ship as well as several of the crew members where very rude, Three times with bartenders, one of them twice. Dining reservations messed up and they had received 5 calls prior to sailing to make sure that was taken care of right. Nasty, rude ...
1) Could drive to embarkation port... so that's why we did this cruise.
2) We got to the port after our designated check in time, so it was very easy to get on.
3) Ship was old - and the pool area needed serious updating. However, there were lots of hideaway places - and you never felt like you were constantly surrounded by crowds.
4) Food was average - nothing spectacular. Not ...
We picked this cruise because of the itinerary. The ship is very small and a little dated. The theming is bizarre to say the least. Food was average, the staff was AMAZING. The only complaints were the millions of screaming babies and little kids all in the pools and hot tubs... The adult Serenity area was jammed packed and that area was small.
But we loved going to Puerto Vallarta - that was ...
This is our 12th carnival cruise, we chose Miracle for the itinerary. We decided to try a balcony aft cabin, which was a big mistake, I was still vibrating a day after I got home. We were on deck 7 and the way the balconies were angled made it easy for people to look directly at you, so there was very little privacy. Embarkation was fast, we were one of the first on board, we flashed our gold card ...
Flying to a cruise is tedious. First no matter where you go, there is the 2 hours of pre-flight torture. Then there is the super small seat, the ridiculous fees for every bag, peanut and drink. Then you worry that the bag you just paid more than the ticket to bring may or may not make it there.
So I drive to the port. Easy peesy lemon squeezy, I am there in less time that it takes to wait for ...
We wanted a reasonable cruise for the whole family. The ship was clean and kept up. All the staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and the cabin with the balcony was roomy enough.
There was Plenty of food with a good variety. I would have liked for the soda to be included.
The excursions were well organized and well priced. The Rhythm of the Night excursion was excellent. The service ...
Disclaimer: This is our first vacation from work in 6 years, so having the time off to do this was a bonus in itself. This will give readers perspective of my optimism.
Fact: This vacation is as good as you're willing to make it. Go in with an open mind and a positive attitude and you should have fun. Yes, I was the the silly guy going around the ship high-fiving everyone (guests and staff ...
travel with carnival for a weeks cruise of mexico. mexico itself was fantastic but customer service on ship and before departure wasnt good. We were advised that a bottle of smirnoff we bought at duty free in las vegas airport could be tagged before we got on the ship then returned to us at the end of the week , this wasnt the case and the vodka was confiscated unopened. I have complained several ...
