Hi,
We enjoyed our cruise very much, at the end of the day after spending 8 hours on
excursions the ship was comfortable and perfect to relax before the next day of tours.
Our Delta flight to Barcelona was perfect we flew on the Airbus A330-300 which I highly recommend. We had two seats next to the window with plenty of room considering we paid no extra for our seats. The plane has two ...
We picked this cruise due to the itinerary. We had travelled once before on HAL in 2010 so decided to give them another try.
Embarkation in Trieste was quick when we got to the embarkation dock. It was a bit confusing as we had arrived in Trieste on the night before the cruise and the ship was docked in the city, however when we woke up the next morning the ship was gone. It had moved to a ...
A very bad experience that has made us think we might never cruise again.
First, the positives:
Staff, especially cabin stewards, were cheerful and helpful. Entertainment was good; 'Step One' dancers were excellent (but pure dance shows eventually wear thin) and the 'Lincoln Center Stage' musicians were first class, although sadly they have been given a poor venue that is open to the ...
Very poor service, horrible food, only chicken and bad spaguetti bolonese all very salty
On dining room also the same.
This is not the HAL standard I have experienced and made me to return.
Crew without experience. Maintenance of vessel looks poor and with signs of rust. Safety????
Port calls very badly planned with long distances to walk from the vessel and no assistance or guidance. ...
We chose this cruise strictly for the itinerary & only 3 sea days. This cruise is the 24 Day Greek Odyssey & Mediterranean Empires from July 28th to August 21 2022.
By way of background about us. We are in our early 70's. We have over 15 ocean cruises, 3 Riverboat trips, & several land tours. The towns & ports are our destination not the ship. Our expectation is simple... a clean room & ...
Great return to cruising - HAL exceeded my expectation from food, service and fun. We were a family of 4- 2 kids aged 9 and 12. The Med Itinerary was excellent- only place I would not want to return to was Albania. I really enjoyed the stop and the day at sea. It was a busy cruise and very hot so we enjoyed getting back to the ship each evening for a swim in the pool and a few Aperol spritz. Great ...
We (2 50s parents and 2 18yo children) cruised on Oosterdam for two weeks, joining about a month after her return to service. Overall, this was an excellent cruise for us, and we actually think it was better than our 25-day 2019 Mediterranean cruise on the Koningsdam. We selected the cruise primarily for itinerary--lots of ports, and places we mostly had not visited previously. With one ...
I’m not typically one to write a bad review, or even write a review, but I was surprised by the lack of service on this ship. First, it took over 48 hours for them to fix our air conditioning. We respectfully asked 5-6 times the first two days and no one came. We were so hot. Then, after going to the front desk, on the THIRD day, someone came. Second, our ship departure was changed to trieste ...
This was out first cruise, and after much study, decided on HA Oosterdam. We went with teo other couples, and had a GREAT time.
Embarkation in San Diego was seamless. It did help that Neptune Suite affords you priority boarding. :-) The Neptune Lounge had a very nice welcome champagne and hos d'hoeuvres party as well.
Side note: the Neptune Lounge is a quiet place to relax; also, there is a ...
I was impressed! I was a bit scared of the "older ship" but the Oosterdam did not disappoint! She was stylish, glamorous, and artfully appointed. Food was stunning in the Lido Market, the Vista Dining Room, as well as The Pinnacle (specialty restaurant). The cabins (we sailed in a Signature Suite 8073 with larger veranda!) was very comfortable. Bathrooms were new and well equipped. The ...
