Excellent service, excellent food, everything was wonderful! Camp Ocean has an awesome staff, our grandson is 9 and did not want to leave. We received a post card delivered to our cabin from the staff saying how nice it was to have him attend along with some of the activities he did. Very caring staff. Cabin Steward Adrian was exceptional! Room was perfect-always had ice. Was very prompt with our laundry. Excellent personality, I love-love the towel monkey! Cabin 1101 was located on deck 11 on the side of the Spa and under the Serenity Deck. Only a few rooms in the hall, no cabin across from ours. Be aware that one evening is a scheduled Serenity party beginning at 11:00 pm till whenever. Thought the ceiling was coming in from all the stomping. We would have stayed up later if we had caught the event on the Fun Times. Only negative thing I can say is the meet & greet was a disappointment-close to 50 people attended, this was on the next to last day, half way through someone contacted guest services that no one from Carnival was there. Each ship does it differently-there should be a standard so we know what to expect Read Less

The Carnival Glory was an excellent ship experience right down to the service for the dining room with our cruise servers Savio, Cassandra and Pavu. They gave us top notch service every single night. Then our stateroom steward Indra was great at keeping our room clean. We did three excursions in Hondorous, Belize, and Cozumel. We celebrated our grandsons birthday on the ship and they gave him special treatment with a cake and a gift from Dr. Seuss characters. We attended the Dr. Seuss breakfast which was a great time and breath taking decorations. My other two grandkids loved everything and my little granddaughter was loved on by all the staff. My only complaint would be my daughter was told that my granddaughter who is 15 months old could not swim unless she was potty trained, but after we talked with the service desk it was fixed. Also the shows at night were so good, the dancers and singers held your attention to the fullest. It was a great time on Glory, so sad to leave and I would do it all over again. Thank you for a fantastic time Carnival Glory and all the staff! We love you! Read Less

We are repeat customers. Our son turned 21 and wanted to go to New Orleans. My husband doesn't care for New Orleans so a cruise from New Orleans was the perfect option. Carnival never disappoints. The cruise director, Dustin was always positive and got the crowd motivated. The dining room staff Eko, Dominique and Cipta were always on point! Embarkation was amazingly smooth. The ladies directing cruise traffic needs to work on their Customer Service. They were a little too sassy and not in a funny way!! Customer Service should mean "friendly". This is the first impression of your experience. The comedians were great!! June reminded everyone that they were on vacation, love each other and have fun. I think the reminder always goes far!! I wish there were more dancing type shows on the ship. The Roatan excursion to see the kayaking, snorkeling, parrots and monkeys was the best! Monkeys make everything better!! The Tubing and lunch excursion in Belize had an extremely long ride. The long ride for the short "guided" tubing experience was nothing I would recommend. All in all it was a fantastic experience on board!!! Read Less

We went with 3 dear close friends on a 5 day from New Orleans. We had an excellent time. Tony our Steward was excellent and took great care of us !! Food outlets and restaurants as well steak house were great, We loved Café Denis in Cozumel but stayed on ship in Progresso as its too far to go anywhere in our opinion. The folks at The Alchemy Bar especially EDUARDO were fabulous !! Great service and great fun !! Didn't care for the comedian but that's a personal taste. Many enjoyed the show. We would sail it again. The Love and Marriage show was fun but not LGBTQ friendly in terms of having a same sex couple up there. There were numerous gay couples on board, and a diverse crowd. Everyone got along and there were no issues on board except a late fire alarm that I didn't hear about thanks to a few too many XO Martinis. I love the glory and would sail it again. Its an easy ship to navigate and not too large. Its starting to show its age a touch but Im sure Carnival will refurbish it within a few years. We loved it and I recommend it. Read Less

This is my 5th Carnival Cruise out of New Orleans and the first time on The Glory. Embarkation was smooth. Make sure you have your paperwork out and ready. This was my first time to have cash only on my sign and sail card. I used Gift Cards and I was amazed over how easy it was. Before boarding, you go to a desk and they put it on your S&S card for you. We had Faster to the Fun so we arrived at the port at 10:00 a.m. and was on the ship and in our room by 11:00 a.m. Our cabin was 1111. The room Steward Adrian was the best Steward we have ever had. He kept ice in our bucket and the cabin clean. We kept the curtains pulled during the day, so the cabin stayed very cool. The balcony does not have a cover over the top and the Serenity Deck can look down on you. Other than this, it's an excellent cabin and location. It is just steps from the lido and it is very quiet. We also had the CHEERS package and found that the drinks seemed to be watered down, except for at the Alchemy Bar. We had anytime dining and discovered that by arriving at 5:45, there was not a wait for a table. The Seafood shack was excellent and worth the up-charge. On Embarkation day, I highly suggest that you eat at the BBQ place. There wasn't anyone there but us. The shows were very good and entertaining. The Comedy Club was fun, but crowded so get there early. The ship itself was easy to navigate around and there was never much of a wait at the elevators or bars like other ships we have been on. We were there during the school year so there were very few kids on board, which left the water slide to us. It was so much fun and I highly recommend it for all ages. (We are in our 50's) We will certainly sail on The Glory again. Read Less

First and foremost let's start with the embarkation process. This being my first carnival Cruise and my first cruise out of the Port of New Orleans I was pleasantly surpised how efficiently my party of six got through the process. I should note we had the 11:30am check in. When we arrived prior to our boarding time we were greeted with happy employees who were already pushing people through from 12:30 block. Needless to say this didn't negatively effect our process as we were on promptly. As we entered the ship we took the opportunity to begin to utilize our Cheers drink package. Our experience as a group was that the cheers package was an excellent addition for our cruise experience. We became regulars at the alchemy bar were Ed our go to bartender had us drinking some great cocktails. My group's only complaint from the Cheers package was being blindsided by the extra charges while still in Louisanna waters. Granted it was negligible but it was still an annoying factor in the beginning and end of our alcohol experience. After enjoying a few beverages we had the opportunity to check out our cabins. I was pleasantly surpised with the size of the cabin. We we're lucky enough to be told to bring a surge protector to get more outlets and USB fans in case the rooms were a little warm. We had two rooms for our party of six and one room was perfectly air-conditioned at all times the other ran warm. That being my only complaint the bathroom was nice and the cabin all and all was nice. Food experience My group was lucky to have let me do a lot of research prior to getting on the carnival glory. We had a nice game plan that allowed us to attack carnival glory with a great plan. We spent every dinner at the main Dining room except for two (chefs table and emerald steakhouse). Our main dining room experience was excellent our server, Red , knew our name before we finished our first meal and was excellent at getting us whatever we asked for promptly. His team also had our go to drinks ready to go every day. The food was good and we never left hungry. We did go to the main dining room on sea days for the sea day brunch. This is an awesome experience that you should check out as it's a full breakfast experience with stuff like Huevos Rancheros and Steak and Eggs. Do yourself a favor and do this at least once for your sea day breakfast. Our other breakfast option was blue iguana cantina. We did this during port days as it was a quick but filling meal. They had a lot of options with good flavors and if you were still hungry you could just walk into the lido buffet behind it.( I was full with the burrito so I never went into the lido for breakfast) Moving on for Lunch the bot iguana cantina offered burritos, tacos, and chips/salsa. I had no complaints as this was a regular go to during my lunch time hours. Guys burgers : the burgers were awesome when they were open. The service was quick and the topping bar was pretty awesome. I enjoyed there take on the fries. The deli: the deli had a lot of good options my only complaint was when it was crowded it was not a quick easy to fill up. Never had a bad meal here though. Guys BBQ: I was only fortunate enough to make it here once during the cruise but the good was really good. I definitely didn't expect this quality food while at Sea when it came to BBQ . Specialty options: Chefs table was an excellent experience. It started off with a tour of the entire kitchen. During this tour sooner if the chefs showed us how they made some of the dishes. They eventually took us to our own septate room for the meal. The courses were excellent. Unlike royal Caribbean chef table wetter they pair a wine with each course Carnival let us pick a wine to pair for the entire dinner. At the end we were given a photograph of the group and the employees who served us. It was a nice ending touch. Emerald steakhouse: I'll be honest I Wasn't initially intending on going to the Steakhouse during our cruise but we decided to try it out. The entire meal was excellent, I did the wagu steak with an add NB of the lobster tail. The appetizers prior were great the sides are ok with the main course. That being said this was one of the best meals I ever had at Sea or on land. Entertainment and activities: I had high hopes for the activities as a long time royal Caribbean cruiser. I felt like our cruise director fell flat to what I was used to. Some of the activities the previous cruise director had were missing (the qwest) and some Royal Caribbean regulars weren't there at all ( belly flop). That being said ... The love and marriage show, CLUE game, Hasbro Game Night and battle of the sexes were awesome. They had a ton of trivia opportunities and the night club was always a good time. I felt as if the cruise was missing that constant cruise director experience to make the activities feel like can't miss opportunities. Lip sync battle wasn't for me but I encourage you to try it. I highly recommend you check out the punchline comedy club and the piano bar which were lively every night and kept the entertainment going. My only negative with the night life was how early most of the bars closed. Many bars closed at midnight which for me is sometimes when the party was just really getting started. Ports of call: Cozumel Mexico : I have been to this port plenty so it was important to do an excursion to enjoy my time here. My group decided on a catamaran and all inclusive at passion island. The catamaran ride was relaxing and the island was awesome. Drinks and food included with sports and other activities. We enjoyed this excursion the most of the two. Yucatan Progreso: Yucatan is very much a developing tourism spot. The beach is Beautiful but you can tell they are trying to build amenities to make it more attractive toursim destination. We did the Corona Beach party. The drinks and the ride were included and for the price I definitely got my money's worth. The only downside was a lot of people pushing stuff to sell on you while trying to enjoy the beach. Lastly debarkation process: as I was staying in NoLa the next two days this process was harmless. I rolled my luggage off the boat and through customs within 15 minutes. Hardest part was saying goodbye to excellent vacation. I highly recommend this cruise and this itinerary for the price. My experience was so good I've already booked my next carnival Cruise Read Less

I have sailed with carnival Previously on the Triumph for a 4 day cruise. This ship was extremely similar and I enjoyed it just as much if not more. I did love the serenity deck, but it also being the deck of camp ocean ( for kids) was a little confusing. Really enjoyed speciality meal and the steak house and of course, Guys burger. Main restaurant food was iffy . Cruise director was great and fun. Casino was good and never too crowded. Placed third in the slot tournament so that was fun. Our balcony room was fun and nice to have an outside area to sit and watch the ocean. So much to do and never enough time to do it. We loved our cabin steward. We had a great cruise , a great ship and all staff we encountered were very accommodating! Will definitely Sail again with carnival Read Less

Started my journey by driving to Ft Lauderdale on Friday before the cruise. Stayed at the Hampton Inn Cruise Port North. Great hotel for cruising out of Miami or Fort Lauderdale. They have a shuttle to Miami now and parking at hotel.. Left on Satuarday morning for parking in Miami. It took about thirty minutes to get to Safe cruise Parking lot. Easy to find and good shuttle service.Took about fifteen minutes from the lot to the ship. Arrived at ship about 1100 am for an 1130 check in time. Went thru the line more quickly than ever before. By 1130 I was already on the ship and in the Lido eating. Looked like half the ship was already there. As priority I had left my bag in the room.My key was not there yet , but room was open. Key was put in box around noon. Around 4 pm we has muster drill. The might have been the worst part of the trip. It was outside and took around thirty minutes. First night was a normal first night. Had dinner in main dining room. As then just roamed the ship Next two full days were sea days and the normal activities took place, Shows , Bingo. Karouke, comedy club. Second Night was the first formal night and normal lobster feast for those desiring . Tuesday was first shore day in St Crouix. Friends have a villa there we rented a car and visited there. Afterwards did a tour of Captain Morgan distillery. Then returned to boat for departure.. Wed was Shore day at Guadeloupe. The main currency here was the Euro. There were places to exchange money or you could use exchange that people would take. Took a taxi to beach where we found a Club Med and stayed on the each there. You could pay for chair and use of facility or use beach for nothing. Thursday Barbados was next port. I just took walk around town of Bridgetown and then took a rest. Friday Martinique took a ferry to the beach and spent the morning at the beach , rented a beach chair and umbrella for ten dollars. Afternoon returned to town and just did some site seeing. They also used Euros but more friendly to dollars Sat was Antiqua. My whole group took an tour pf the Island. Was supposed to be tow hours, turned into three and a half hours. Was a very good tour and great driver, and was a great price. After this took tour of shopping areas. Really is a beautiful Island Sunday was St Martin We all did out normal beach day , get a chair and umbrella and sit on the beach with a bucket of beers. and shopping. Monday was Tortola. had planned on ferry to Virgin Gorda but got off boat to late for early ferry, so took another two hour bus tour around entire Island from Carribbean side to Atlantic side. Really was a beautiful Island recovering still from Hurricane Irma. Next two and a half days were sea days with regular activities.for cruises. This was a journeys cruise so there were special activities going on during the cruise , such as ice sculpture feast on Tuesday night. There was also a second formal night on which lobster was again served. The Lido dining room was average, usual types of food was served, Best food on Lido was the grill where sandwiches were served usually the most popular place. Also had the greasy hamburger stand, Seafood shack was extra, Sushi was extra. Pizza was good as usual. Main dining room food was good to average. Service was good but some times the food was cold or luke warm. The desserts have become a joke in the dining room and the lido deck. Not a great variety. Used the banana split option several times. The ship was kept clean and when things did break they were usually quickly fixed. Older ship is stating to show rust , but they were painting at most ports. The entertainment in the ship lounges and common areas was some of the best i have seen on Carnival. I did not usually attend more than ten minutes of shows as i have seen mos if i recognized it i left. Had a hyptomist one night was really good. The cruise staff did a good job of leading activities during the cruise and usually had good attendance. The service was excellent i my room, dining area and quest services. Had no problems when i tried to get help. Cabin was good condition and steward was excellent. Had a safe needing a swipe card to open. Had a fridge that worked. Television was awful. Only news was CBSN . Kept running the same thing over and over and then had old news shows. Arrived home in Miami before 7 on thursday. Had several hundred people in priority debarkation and only too about 15 minutes to get off boat and thru customs. One of the best i have had in 25 cruises. My shuttle was waiting and by 730 i was on I 95. I would do this cruise again, great ports. Only down pat was it took to many days to get home, which i knew before hand Read Less

TRULY WAY EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS! I have cruised many many times but have not cruised Carnival for many many years, choosing instead the supposedly more upscale cruises on NCL, RCL, Celebrity. I chose this as I was the cruise planner for 3 of my family, 2 of which, had never cruised before. I needed to keep the price affordable for them, but also provide them with the best cruising experience with several ports of call, good and multiple free food options on the ship, and lots of activities on the ship. Spouse and I had not had the best experience on Carnival previously (though this was many many years ago) as far as customer experience, rowdiness on the ship, etc. However, this experience blew my concerns totally out of the water - pun intended! This was the absolute best cruise I have ever taken and I've taken many! The ship Glory, though an older ship, is updated, clean and beautiful. Staff are constantly cleaning every aspect of the ship. As a health care professional, I appreciated their attention to infection control from the environment to the food prep and service. It is clear, in all aspects, that safety is first! The customer service was perfect - impeccable from every staff member we encountered, no matter what position - very impressive! All staff were friendly, attentive, helpful, ALWAYS! Food was excellent! Family loved the main dining room - with great and multiple food choices - and the entertainment every evening by the singing/dancing wait staff! There were also multiple free food options, other than the dining room, - also very good - and more free options than I've seen on other cruise lines! Ship entertainment was phenomenal and by far, the best I have ever experienced on a cruise!!!! If someone did not have fun on this ship, they must be dead! So many options - from comedy shows, lido deck parties, production shows, game shows, movies, dancing, water park/slides, mini golf, plus the usual running/walking track, enrichment activities, gym, spa, casino, shopping, etc.. There was multiple live music venues always going at various locations on the ship -something for everyone - and all of the music was terrific! I also appreciated Carnival's support and fundraising for St. Judes. CARNIVAL LIVES UP TO ITS NAME AS THE FUN SHIP!!! The Carnival excursions were also very good and well run (speaking from what excursions we took). COOKIE IS THE BEST ACTIVITY CRUISE DIRECTOR EVER!!! I love you Cookie! He is the best I've every had the pleasure of experiencing!! His humor, and superior people and organization skills, truly made this cruise so memorable!! He is A+!! The guy never stops working! of the and he truly seems to love what he does. The ship appears to be very well run - especially in crowd control -considering there were almost 3000 passengers on board (and only slightly less staff). There were not long lines for dining, etc.; ship does not feel crowded, enough pool lounge chairs, etc. Embark and debark process were also the easiest, fastest, and smoothiest I've ever seen in my many cruises! My only tiny complaint was regarding gym/spa. I would like to have seen more exercise classes offered, not just the few few yoga/pilates...for example, Zumba, Jazzercize-type classes, etc. Carnival - you definitely wowed me and I'll be back!!! We went on this cruise with friends. We had great meals at the steakhouse, platinum dining room for breakfast, and golden dining room for dinner. Our servers, Ronaldo, Wayan and Pira were awesome, making dinner fun and comfortable. We loved their song and dance shows. We went to many events on board including nightly shows in the amber room, they were all amazing! Singing, dancing, and comedy too. We ventured to the casino, comedy club and lido deck for movies. Staff were always helpful and friendly. The ports were nice and we loved our excursion in Cozumel with Sylvia taking us to the beach club and shopping. Tequila tasting and Fish pedicures! We returned to the ship early at each port to enjoy quiet time by the pool and in the hot tub. Jose was our server throughout the week, always having a drink ready to replace our empty glass, whether at the pool or in the comedy club. He always had recommendations and was a smiling face we enjoyed seeing each day. The Fun Squad was great, including Frankie the cruise director, CoCo, and JJ. We enjoyed trivia on several days with Milan. Always good for laughs. All and all, we had a great cruise and can't wait to do it again soon. Our only downfall was literally falling down. Three of the four in our party fell on the wet deck/floor after the rain. When the slippery when wet signs are out, be careful. Read Less

He did a great job interacting with the passengers and genuinely enjoyed hanging out with us and welcoming with questions we may would have had. We had a nice conversation with him and it felt like we were hanging out with a friend. We got a couples massage in the spa that was great. I attended a ladies pampering seminar where we were given a fantastic deal that was extended to my husband and well. The only thing we were disappointed in were the shows. We were on her a year before and they were the same exact shows. The group of folks that performed last year we're so talented. This year not so much. Our meals in the main dining room were very good. The only complaint I have there is that I was only able to get the Creme brulee once and they didn't have escargot this time on the menu. We highly recommend the behind the scenes tour. It was well worth the money and suggest booking it as soon as the excursions desk opens when you embark because it is limited to 16 people and sells out fast. Embarking and disembarking was a breeze. We had twenty people (14 adults/6 children) on this cruise for a family getaway and a grandaughter's birthday. The trip was arranged by my daughter; and let me explain that I had not been a big fan of cruises but love my daughter. The entire cruise was great; from the comedy shows, to the musical entertainment, to the bars, Guy's Burgers, Rum Bar, Lobby Bar, Bar BQ, shore excursions and our ship cabin. Three things made this an exceptional cruise: 1) Chef Chang and Staff (I apologize for not remebering the staff names). We signed up for the Chef's Dinner (additional charge but was the best money we spent). All twenty of us were the guests of Chef Chang and her staff. Normally this is only provided to a maximum of fourteen people but they agreed to accomodate our group of twenty. The tour of the galley was very interesting with incredible organization. The twenty of us had a private dining room for the entire evening (approximately three hours) for incredible appetizers and many excellent food courses (ranging from Sea Bass to Wagyu Beef). Chef Chang and her staff were totally focused on our needs, with the younger children who were not as adventurous with food, they provided chicken fingers, macaroni and cheese andf french fries. The entire group continued to talk about this experience for the entire cruise; the younger kids requesting to see Chef Chang later during the cruise (three times) and she responded every time to come see us during our dining time. Chef Chang and staff truly understand meeting client needs. We are thankful to this entire group. 2) Adam and I Nyomen our service staff in the Platinum Dining room-early table 609. This is where we ate the majority of our meals and these individuals did an exceptinal job. Regardless of what was requested (crazy or not), and we requested some crazy things, they always met our requests with a smile and great service. These two individuals made our dining experience very memorable from the food ordered to the dancing in which our grandchildren participated. 3) Gemma and Mae, our cabin attendants. Gemma always greeted us pleasantly every day and kept our cabin with everything we requested. From ice, towels, soap and questons about the ship she accomodated all our needs. She and Mae made up incredible towel animals each morning and also surprised us one evening with what I thought was a man on our bed (Just Gemma and crew working with bath towels). While all aspects of our cruise were great; these are the individuals on the cruise that insured our experience was exceptional and memorable. Many thanks! Read Less

It was my first cruise in over 10 years, and the first ever for my husband and parents. We all loved it and can’t wait to go back. Cousin Cookie was an excellent cruise director and the entire ship staff went above and beyond. We felt like royalty. She isn’t one of the newer ships, but still has plenty of fun to offer everyone. My only negative, all be it small, was that the talent of the stage show singers wasn’t as good as I remember, but that could just be the casts we saw. Also, the breakfast buffet was the same thing every day, a bit of variety in that arena would have been nice. With that said, I’m not much of a breakfast person in general, so my opinion may be skewed. They did manage to get the playoff football games streamed to the deck as well so the football fans ever in Heaven. Read Less

We chose this ship because of the ports and price. Everything was perfect from the crew, entertainment and food. Cruise director “Cookie” was amazing!! St. Thomas and Amber Cove were our favourite ports but we enjoyed San Juan and Grand Turk were good as well. Cabin was good and didn’t hear the galley above us hardly at all. We were on deck 2 and the noise wasn’t bad in the hall at all. My 12 year old daughter joined the kids club for a lot of activities and Terry who ran it was wonderful with the kids. The Glory is moving to New Orleans or we would love to sail on her again. It was the perfect size. I’m not into those massive ships so I found the Glory just right! Some of our group enjoyed the large shows in the theater, while others preferred the Trivia in the Lobby with dancing. We all enjoyed the comedians. The age mix was pretty balanced among all ages for this cruise. We also did NOT see the stereotypical things people complain about Carnival for. I won't go into those things, because it was not our experience here. Our room steward, Carole, and dining staff, Joel, Abby and Bryan, were top notch. They couldn't have been more professional or friendly. We had a balcony room, 8236. It is forward. It was exactly as I expected. The bed was heaven. Love a balcony. The only Carnival excursion we took was to the Everglades/Airport transfer. We would recommend it. FOOD! Guy's Burgers are wonderful. Everyone in our group raved about them. We ran the gamete from Serious Burger Lover, to me, Eh Take Them Or Leave Them. Eat one early in your cruise, because you will want to go back. We ate in the Main Dining Room every night and always had delicious food and a wonderful experience. My companions rated the Ox Tongue Superb. Really. My complaint is the smoking in the Casino. There are no doors between the Casino and the rest of the areas, so the other areas get very smoky. I think doors would solve that problem. Read Less

Frankly we chose the cruise for price and date. We are in our 60's and didn't know what to expect. We didn't really fit in with the drinking, gambling, all night party atmosphere, but there were things we did enjoy. They had some entertainment was to our liking. The food and restaurants were very good. We LOVED the all you can eat soft serve ice cream. We tried the hot tubs in the adult only section of the boat and they were disappointingly lukewarm. It was nice to have that adults only section with hammock, special seating without littles running around. We were very glad we had shore excursions to look forward to. We booked our excursions outside of Carnival and quickly learned that preferential treatment is giving to those who booked with them. Meaning, when it was time to get off the ship, those booked with Carnival got off first and in a different area. You had communication and a personal guide all the way through the process. And if you had an excursion with Carnival, the ship would not leave until you were back on the ship. If you did your own thing, there was a chance that you would be left if you didn't get back. I sailed on the Carnival Glory last week with my mom to celebrate the new year. Embarkation was a breeze. We arrived to the port of Miami at 11:45 and were on the ship by 12:10, even though our assigned check-in window was 12:30-1. We always wear our swimsuits onto the ship so that we can take advantage of a near-empty pool. They were handing out free champagne on the pool deck, I am assuming because it was a New Year's cruise. We went down to our stateroom at 1:30, which is the earliest you can get in, and our bags had already arrived. There was plenty to do onboard at all times- trivia, games, poolside entertainment, comedy shows, lobby parties, deck parties, movies at the pool, casino events, shopping giveaways, etc. Our cruise director, Dustin, was absolutely amazing. You could tell he loves his job and he was always laughing and having a good time. Now we did two shore excursions that I did not book through the cruiseline. One in Grand Cayman and one in Belize... the two ports that required tendering, of course. Now, if you booked through the ship, they made sure you were on an early enough tender to make it. If you did not book through the ship, you had to go to the Alchemy bar and get a number sticker to determine when you would be allowed off the ship. We got up super early in Grand Cayman and got number 2 (they generally let off 1-6 first) so we had no issue. In Belize, however, we were a little more relaxed and ended up with number 12. We've never been to Belize so we didn't know the tender ride was 20 minutes. 1-6 was called and I assumed we would be able to get off the ship next, but we waited 30 more minutes and still hadn't heard our number, and our excursion was leaving in 30 minutes. We went to Guest Services and told them what was going on and they put us in the priority tendering and we were off the ship within the next five minutes. We were still 20 minutes late to our excursion, but thankfully so was everyone else, so they waited for us. Moral of the story: Talk to guest services. They won't be mad you didn't book through the cruiseline. As far as the New Year's Eve festivities go, it was exactly what I expected. Around 2 o'clock on NYE, they began filling up balloons above the lobby. You could go up and put in your wish for 2019. At dinner, there was a special NYE menu and hats/noisemakers o the tables for you to take. They dropped the balloons at 11 PM and one lucky wish won a 3L bottle of champagne. There was a comedy show from 11:15-11:45, in between the balloon drop and the party on the lido. We did not attend. We were in the lido deck by 11:15 and it was already pretty packed. They started passing out the free champagne around 11:30, and they kept your glasses full until midnight. They also threw out hats, headbands, noisemakers, etc. The lido was lit up and the party was great. I highly recommend cruising into the New Year. As for Mahogany Bay, Isla Roatan, it is evident that it is a private port. It feels more like Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort than the actual Caribbean. Also, you have to pay for the majority of the beach chairs, the sky chairs, etc. I have no desire to return. The food was good the majority of the time. I highly recommend the Sea Day Brunch and Tea time, which is a hidden gem. We also ate at the steakhouse, which is consistently a phenomenal experience. Our dessert was called Art at the Table and it was a unique experience. The ship itself is in need of some help. The exterior is very rusty, the walls of the elevators are peeling off, the carpet is run down. It was clean, but ugly. The shower in our stateroom was also falling apart, and did not get fixed until day 3. Read Less

I went on this cruise with my 2 older children. I have never been on a cruise before but really enjoyed myself & will plan to go again. There was so much to do & see. I was impressed. I was disappointed that they cancelled so many excursions. They cancelled 3 of them on us. My daughter ordered glasses & a bag & never got them. I think they could’ve at least replaced what she ordered with something similar if what she ordered wasn’t available at a discounted price because it’s something that she makes sure to tell everyone. So that started our cruise off on the wrong foot but... For a Canadian it’s a little expensive between exchange rates & airfare & hotels so I won’t be going again as soon as I would like but will definitely consider another trip in the future. Even with our hiccups we had a pleasant trip. The ship had plenty of things to do and the staff was super friendly. Our cabin was always cleaned quickly & when we asked Pasa about opening a bottle for us, he had it opened & sitting in a bucket filled with ice by the time we got back to our room. The dining room's food was awesome & you could whatever you wanted and as many as you wanted. The entertainment group were fantastic! The shows were worth checking out. Over all service was awesome on the boat. The ports where nice to get off at but like I said earlier I was disappointed with how many excursions Carnival cancelled on us. I'm not sure I would book any excursions through them again, I would wait until I was at port to book. Read Less

We cruise with Carnival because we love Carnival. This is my 2nd Christmas cruise the first was on Vista. While on this cruise my mom became sick and their medical department (Michael) was amazing and took such great care of her. My mom travels with oxygen, c pap, and walking is hard, but she had a great time we rented a scooter and it was perfect. We had a room with a balcony, so she had a great view if she didn't get off the ship. Embark and debark went smoothly until the transfer bus dropped us off st the wrong terminal. Frontier changed terminals so check. Loved Coco, one of the fun squad, she has so much energy and really makes everyone around her have a great time. We loved the entertainment and of course Bingo! The ports were great and I liked how at Grand Turk you could just walk off the ship and the beach was right there. We definitely will cruise again with Carnival. Read Less

I chose this cruise because of price, itinerary, time of year and past experience. The ship is easy to get around. There did not seem to be long lines anywhere. Getting on and off the ship was easy and I used Carnival transportation to the debarkation airport. It was easy and arrived plenty of time to catch my 12:30 Miami flight home. The Playlist performers were excellent - don't miss their shows. I enjoyed some of the bands around the ship. Don't waste your time going to the fun ashore fun abroad information event and the shopping show on the first day. Unless you like Price is right then go to the excursion information event. The shopping maps you get when you get off the ship at each port. The ports were Belize, Mahogany Bay, Caymans and Cozumel and all were awesome. The water shuttles were easy and well timed. The only negative was lack of communication on Carnival's part while we were waiting to get off in Cozumel. They were trying to do a good thing by bringing a ferry to the ship for those of us who had Carnival excursions but the weather did not cooperate. Instead of telling us what was going on all of a sudden they said follow us and they led us to the gangway without telling us we were to pick up the ferry in the port. Actually other than leading us to the gangway there was no further communication and if this would have been first time traveling I would have been lost. We had a bit of rocky weather coming home on last sea day. Dishes were sliding off the tables in dining room and waiters did an excellent job of trying to keep them on the tables. They added cloth napkins under plates to keep them from sliding. Maybe Carnival should think about bringing back tablecloths for ALL meals! Cruise director - only time saw him was his introductions to the performances and the shore excursion presentation. Could do without him. Not impressed. Read Less

Itinary. Grand Turk, St Thomas, Amber Cove, SanJuan, all great places to visit. Eight adults and three kids in our party. As always Carnival crew did a great job. Grand kids had fun. Kids had fun. And my wife and I had great fun being with all the kids. I asked for a round table for eleven In the MDR. Disappointed they added a chair to a ten place table. A bit crowded at the table. Main dinning room waiters did a great job. Deck chairs not hard to get this cruise. Great weather entire cruise. Enjoyed a couple movies under the stars with the grand kids. Lunch options all great. Guys burgers, Deli, Buritos, tacos and taco salads. BBQ. Pizza and fresh fish market all great. Overall a great time was had by all on this cruise. If able to do this cruise with whole family again we would jump at the chance. Read Less

I chose the Carnival Glory because it was sailing to St. Thomas, Puerto Rico & Amber Cove for my birthday. Im a little disappointed in myself because I took a map and did not wake up for the greet & mingle party on Sunday. Sorry guys next time. While on board of course Guys burger was fantastic. However, I was disappointed in the seafood shack.....the fish was to greasy with to much batter, a big let down. I tried for two days to get to the pool but as expected no room & the kids was jumping in and splashing (unsupervised). At dinner time our table was non approachable and did not chat even after I told jokes ( I guess it wasn't funny) so we switched tables the next night. The comedy club was floored ( literally) standing room only & sitting on the steps. I really enjoyed John Dicrosta ( purchase his CD). All the comedians were good. I really didn't care for the self centered cruise director Dustin. Everything was about him & not enough about the fun as Carnival say. Could have been more shows and of course I lost at CLUE....but had fun looking for clues. My steward was great (Sang) and the dining room serves and I forget the Spa... The ports were beautiful especially St. Thomas were I found a great tour guide and explored the island and Beach. Puerto Plata was great ...the food....just great and I brought jewelry and Mamajuna...very tasty. Puerto Rico I visited the Barcardi factory were I had my first Mojito and poured my own bottle of liquor. Grand Turk didn't do much for me but fun in the sun is always good when you leaving 32 degree weather. Overall I had a great time in spite of the fish & Dustin. Read Less
