Some of the Carnival workers at the port in New Orleans were very rude and were actually yelling loudly at us and other people that we spoke to had the same experience. We travelled with friends and they actually yelled loudly at them because the wife was holding both documents in her hand. They also told them to step out of line because of it. They sent me and my husband to another line as we had ...
As new cruisers, three cruises so far, we have been sampling different cruise lines. Prior to our voyage on the Glory, out of New Orleans, we sailed on Norwegian's Breeze and Holland America's Nieu Stadtendam. All have been 7-day Caribbean cruises. Our first cruise was on Norwegian and we were in the Haven so we had our cruising indoctrination performed at the highest level. Cabins on all of our ...
NOLA is the most convenient port for us to leave from. We have done this cruise many times. This time I enjoyed my fellow cruisers more than any other time. So talented that we stayed at karaoke night after night over the entertainment staff. Seriously, record execs should have been there ready to sign some truly gifted singers! I’ve never heard such talent at karaoke before. Staff was ...
If you're in the market for a cruise vacation, the Carnival Glory is a solid choice. I recently spent seven days on the ship, and found it to be the perfect amount of time. Not too long, but long enough to fully experience all the amenities the ship has to offer. I've been on two cruises out of New Orleans, and it's my favorite departure location.
The Glory is starting to show its age a bit, ...
The cruise was nice but on a shore excursion purchased on the ship we were taken to a Taquila tasting where we were sold a bottle of taquila without a label or tax stamp. The company had wrapped the bottle we purchased and we r did not discover the issue until we arrived at home. We have no idea how to obtain a $75.00 refund or how to notify authorities in Mexico. We notified Carnival of this ...
TLDR: It looks like cruising is back to pre-covid standards - more or less.
Embarkation:
New Orleans is always a nightmare getting to the port. I realize this isn't under Carnival's direct control, but it seems like they'd have some power to get New Orleans to figure out some way to get this organized better. But once inside the terminal, things went smoothly and quickly.

I sailed on the Carnival Glory out of New Orleans, departing December 26, 2022.
I am not a snob, nor was this my first time cruising with Carnival. However, it will most certainly be the last. First things first, do not ever take a cruise out of New Orleans unless you are prepared to WALK , very long distances, in glassed-in corridors with the air conditioning turned off. The air conditioners ...
Chose this itinerary based on only 14 day out of NOLA. Do not enjoy Jamaica anymore but wanted to experience Panama Canal and Limon Costa Rica. Really enjoy Bonaire as we love to snorkel at Klein Bonaire. We also became Platinum on Carnival this cruise and we’re eager to see what perks this would bring.
The good:
Embarkation was easy and though we arrived 30 min ahead of our appointed time ...
This was our second sailing since the lockdowns, and Jan 2020. Had 17 cancels and re-books. Did a Royal late October. Did this Carnival to get a comparison in today's covid environment. We have been on 35+ cruises. As we booked this kind of late. We did not have a lot balcony choices. Our cabin was 6456.
We did the any time timing. Had to use the app to tell the system we were ready to eat. ...
3 in a row on this particular boat in the last 6 months. I won't get into all of the specifics, but I am a platinum member a few weeks short of being diamond. I also cruise royal caribbean and norwegian.
Here are a few things that happened. A few........I could write a lot more.
1st one - room flooded. Carnival left me in a room where floor was completely wet for two days. The room smelled ...
