This review will be brief and too the point. This ship is old was not ready to provide the type of experience most seasoned Princess cruisers were used to. Yes there were obvious staff shortages and supply chain issues. These could be overlooked as the problem exists everywhere. However many of the staff were lacking in their training especially in the food service side. When you are served a ...
After a 2 year break for COVID, we finally joined Island Princess for a 14 night circular trip from Southampton. The Ports we visited were all familiar but we had arranged to meet friends in Inverness and Dover and cruising was an easy way to get there. We chose Island Princess based on our previous experience and because it was a smaller ship. Overall, there were no major issues but everything ...
Wanted to set sail on July 29th celebrating this 50th Wedding Ann. day with my husband and daughter on a 14 day British isle cruise with an extended week in London. (Last sailing was Jan.-Feb.2020 So. East Asia interrupted by covid)
Had a lovely time, however was disappointed in many ways.
Major problem ... Dine My Way .... preferred daily dining second seating around 7:30 at same table ...
While the destinations on this cruise were good, this was overall the worst cruise I have ever been on. It got to a point where at times it was uncomfortable and stressful. This continues to weeks after disembarking as they are still currently holding my money hostage. I spent around 250 USD on my stateroom account, which they have charged from my bank. On top of the money they have charged, they ...
Two of the ports (Haugesund and Lerwick) were missed due to high winds. But our purpose for the cruise was to visit Iceland, and those ports were great! Food was average and service was great. Arriving without luggage from flight was annoying but the ship tried hard to accommodate our situation. The transition from COVID-intensive to normal cruising is happening slowly and still impacts ...
Been a Princess Cruise customer for decades but this was the first cruise since Covid. We had lowered our expectations accordingly but apparently not low enough. Our biggest gripes were food and Internet. Princess food was never spectacular but it's downright mediocre now. Heard lots of other people complaining too echoing sentiments to never sail Princess again. At best banquet-quality and ...
We had a wonderful time going to Norway. In the beginning we were a bit disappointed because Spitzbergen had been cancelled - this was a bucket list item for a lot of people on this cruise. The scenery and the two added ports made up for some of it.
Would recommend going to Norway to anyone that asks, it's a beautiful place.
The ship itself was a little odd - we sailed on her before she was ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary and to travel with good friends. While the overall ship is fine, the "upgraded" balcony cabins are woefully inadequate. The bathroom is very small and the shower is cramped (even for a 5'4" 140lb female!) While the cabin is obviously for 2 people, it has only 1 chair so someone has to sit on the bed. The one positive was our cabin steward who was ...
Chose this cruise due to the itinerary and previous experiences sailing on Princess. Unfortunately, this experience was not like the pre-COVID cruises.
Pre-cruise, EZ Air was horrible. Although the airlines were having their own issues, flights were cancelled, neither my travel agent nor I could not speak to an agent. After trying to explain that both carrier’s reservation system only had ...
Choose cruise for itinerary. Met expectations. Iceland worth the trip. Baltic was interesting to us. Enjoyed area. Would have liked to have seen more Norwegian fjords . Ship stopped in port every day. Without missing port due to weather we would not have cruised any fjords.
Ship did not meet expectations. Far behind on maintenance- automatic doors not working through entire cruise around the ...
