Had never traveled to South America. All new stops including Rio De Janeiro. Rio stop coincided with Carnaval. Super time at Samba Drome. Buenos Aires was beautiful. Rounding Cape Horn was exciting. Mingling with the penguins from the Faulklands was thrilling. Chile had many interesting archealogical sites to visit. Costa Rica and Cartagena were very surprising new style cities. Colombia was the ...
The first Captain "bye bye" was exceptional. Tis was also reflected throughout the entire staff. However, the management staff were just okay on their own merits. My wife and I cannot say enough good things about the working staff.
The entertainment was excellent. Great choices and some amazing talent.
First rate movies both in cabin and on deck.
The food was good, not great but good. ...
This ship supposedly came out of dry dock in 2017. They certainly did not work on the superstructure. Many lights missing, with wires hanging out of poles with the ends taped. Never saw the string lights lit. Drain at aft starboard doorway on deck 14 was rotten and a hazard. From the front of the ship to aft staterooms on deck 14 required walking outside, without cover, or cutting through the ...
We booked this cruise as soon as we became aware of it through mail advertizing. For such a long cruise it met most of our expectations. The staff and crew especially Captain Tuvo were fantastic. The itinerary was the primary reason for booking this cruise. It had three bucket list destinations and all were great experiences.
The down side to this cruise was the ship. We had been on this ...
In 2025 we cruised on HAL Amsterdam for 60 days as half of the Grand World Cruise and booked through Travels with Alan. We booked this 60 day cruise through Alan, anticipating that it would be somewhat similar to the Amsterdam cruise in that this was a major cruise circumnavigating South America. Once aboard we quickly learned that unbeknownst to us (and the other 196 "Alan" group) Princess had ...
As my husband is in a wheelchair it is necessary to find longer cruises with less air travel. This 60 day cruise was perfect. The staff was exceptionally good at making this cruise a really fun experience for us. i can not think of anything that would have improved our cruise. Congratulations princess. From the first moment every staff member was cheerful, helpful and courteous. The quitar ...
Island Princess refurbished since last on it, very elegant. Spa amazing. Food fine, not up to previous quality, especially in over-salted Buffet. Internet sporadic and unreliable entire voyage. Itinerary was fabulous, but Ship went into too many Container Ports. Typically in unsafe areas of city w/few to no taxis nor tour offerings. Passengers should take ship excursions rather than go off ...
Would not likely sail with Princess again. They have really gone downhill in terms of service, excursions and food. The trip was circumnavigating South America for 60 days. The ports seemed to be chosen based on cheap moorage - many had nothing of interest. Others were miles from the nearest city of interest. We had at least three port changes with no compensation The excursions were wildly ...
Never been to South America before, the price was right for the cruise, and we looked forward to 60 days of comfortable living whilst visiting new places and being entertained along the way.
The organization of boarding the ship in Fort Lauderdale was chaotic - transferring passengers from the waiting areas to the ship. The people in charge didn't seem to know what they were doing.
We had ...
I should start this review telling you a bit about me. At home I am pretty active. I enjoy doing a lot of different things and like trying different things. I do bicycle a lot and play volleyball. When cruising I like doing Trivia, building things for egg drops and scrape heap boats. I like bean bag toss or what ever else we might toss. The penguin toss was very popular, I like putt putt golf but ...
