First trip after Covid, shut down. Princess appeared to be quite genuine about trying to control Covid transmission on their ship. Easy to get to in Brisbane by driving and parking.
Their different graded lane embarkation method appeared to offer the prospect of a quick, easy and healthy (in these Covid days of not being 1.5m apart). But sadly this was not the case no GREEN lane for faster ...
I’d wanted to do the PNG cruise, so when the bargain balconies became available on the Coral late last year, I signed up. The cruise left from Brisbane where I have family to drop me off at the port.
Embarkation/Debarkation
It was just so organised after the debacle I had had to endure at Station Pier last Nov. I was dropped off at 11am. My boarding time was noon. There were attendants ...
The Coral Princess was recommended to us by a Youtuber and they were shown to be so right. In brief I loved it.
The embarkation process from Brisbane was not as chaotic as I feared and we were on board in under 30 minutes. However I have to say that lots of people ignored their arrival notifications and they were the cause of any difficulty others may have faced.
Our Balcony Cabin seemed ...
The Coral Princess is a beautiful ship. The décor is very different. If I were to name a style I would say the the Universe Lounge was Steam Punk at sea, the Wheelhouse bar was old world charm, warm and inviting, and the specialty restaurants were mediterranean. The Shops of princess featured stained glass windows. Everywhere you looked it was a visual feast. Highlights were the wrap around ...
6 of us from round the globe wanted to meet up again and cruise. As we had cruise credits to use up, we chose this cruise to avoid Europe.
We stayed in cabin A216 with a balcony, near the front of the ship. The shower is extremely small, and water pours over the soap dispenser, making it tricky to get any onto the washer or hands.
The fridge didn't work very well, but this was replaced after ...
Having only done three other pretty good cruises, Super Star Virgo (05), Rhapsody RCL (11) and Aria P&O (17), I was not expecting too much after reading previous reviews.
Embarkation was at the new Brisbane terminal which is a journey in itself but has coinvent parking if booked early and a short walk to boarding which was quite smooth, about an hour.
The Coral Princess is a little dated but ...
Our first cruise back after Covid-19
The good - Medallion system is excellent and the phone application works well. Wherever on the ship we were we could be found for servicing drinks and food. All the staff were to the great Princess standards. The food and selection was great and we used both specialty restaurants and rate them both highly. Also the pizzas from Alfredo's in Sabatini's ...
Have been on 19 cruise with Princess but this the worst ever. Besides the Covid which hubby got, and we do not blame them as a lot of protocols but could do better. The weather, we know beyond their control, missed three ports, but compensated. The real issue was the lack of honest communications. Got to Melbourne finally after three changes to date and change to itinerary. Meant people who had ...
We saw this was available and matched up with our planned cruise so booked on the spur of the moment. We managed to get the same cabin however we were upgraded to a mini suite at the last minute for this short time. Getting onto the ship was easy in Sydney, the train takes you directly from the airport to Circular Quay where the ship docks. Smooth boarding. COVID safe, masks inside at all times ...
First cruise since Pandemic. First cruise with Princess. Boarding at OPT, Sydney extremely efficient. Despite being lowest level of loyalty, on board within 15mins and rooms were ready at 12.45. Guarantee balcony cabin. Assigned A632 AFT cabin on Aloha deck. Cabin very nice. Great view from balcony. Queen bed extremely comfy. Plenty of space. Desk & chair but no couch. Balcony had two ...
