Money grubbing is REALLY bad here

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Coral Princess

We wanted to see Alaska, we’d rather have just flown straight there now. My gripe is how they sacrificed entertainment for poor money grubbing practices. There would be events for shows and it was literally just showing you what you could buy. They have multiple restaurants that are wastes of space because no one wants to buy the overpriced food there. The shops prices were absurd and they price ...

Inland, Alaska is spectacular as seen from the sea and very familiar to a Kiwi though on a much grander scale than my own New Zealand Loved the rail trip from Denali to Whittier and enjoyed all the land excursions, especially the wonderfully knowledgeable and entertaining (generally) young tour guides The cruise experience is marvelous with the entertainment, especially the singers and ...

Mostly Great

Love Alaska. The scenery is magnificent and the citizens are great. The weather in Anchorage was rainy and the first day at sea was also. As that was natural, it could hardly have been a negative for the cruise, but it could have been better, of course. Otherwise, great. The ships entertainment staff was excellent. The shows were at least as good as any we have ever seen in over 40 cruises ...

We started our cruise tour in Fairbanks and traveled through Denali to Anchorage and to Whittier to Board the boat. Every step was well planned, organized and hassle free. Princess and ez air did wonderful carefree work for planning, stops, transfers, etc. Ship embarkation and disembarkation were fast and smooth. Balcony room a must! There are many excursions to choose from. Alaska is a tour to ...

Fully met all our expectations from boarding to disenbarkation. The staff were all friendly, helpful and patient, and made our voyage fun, relaxed and one to remember for a lifetime. Our room steward was so sweet and friendly and she worked hard to make our room clean and functional each day. Getting on the ship at the beginning and leaving on the last day ran as smooth as silk. No stress ...

Alaska was a bucket-list item for my wife and I. AAA recommended this cruise, and it did not disappoint. The cruise staff was friendly, the activities met every taste, and the entertainment was excellent! Air Canada lost my wife's suitcase. The passenger services rep on the ship made sure we comfortable, provided us with laundry service, onboard credit to purchase clothing in the gift shop, and ...

Sailed the inside passage 10 year's ago and decided we wanted to see more - so we did the land tour plus cruise. The land portion was hectic with two nights in Anchorage, McKinley Princess Lodge and Denali Princess Lodge. Relaxing when we joined the ship in Whittier for 7 days. Highly recommend doing the land portion first to get the hectic moving, packing and unpacking and deciding what you need ...

Chose the Coral Princess as it was the smallest among the other Princess ships going to Alaska and it didn't disappoint. This was our 1st cruise and I have never been so pampered in all my life. The weather could have been better when we were in the Inside Passage but that isn't Princess's fault. Loved our balcony cabin. Yes it's small but we knew that. Our steward Jorge was phenomenal. We ...
