Let me start by saying this is my 3rd time on the Dawn but my first time out of Boston. Ive been on 15 cruises and 5 with NCL. I read a lot about the dry dock and how the ship was updated. However, I saw very little different on the ship.It still has a dated feel. I traveled to Bermuda with my wife and two daughters 8 and 4 years old. The cruise was average....nothing special. I was annoyed that ...
We just got home from our Norwegian Dawn cruise to Bermuda! We enjoyed it very much!
Embarkation went smoothly. We thought we would be there for hours when we saw the line. We were on the ship and eating lunch by noon!
We had a mini suite and it was perfect for the two of us. I bought the party package since it was my husband's 70th birthday! Our cabin steward did a great job decorating the ...
Chose this cruise for both the destination and location of going out of Boston. Our family had a wonderful time. We would go (and are) again. We had a family suite without a balcony. Having a balcony didnt make a difference to us. The floor to ceiling windows more then made up for it. We also had priority embarkation/disembarkation which was nice.
We ate at 3 of the specialty ...
Just back from Bermuda. Embarkation was great was in 12:30 time slot arrived at pier at 12 noon was on ship by 12:45. Had 4 of us in Mini Suite 2 adults 2 teenagers room was perfect midship. Was on Dawn last year updates were awesome basicly a new ship. Meals were great all week. Mosly had the buffet for breakfast and lunch and main dinning rooms for dinner. Not one disappointing dinner all ...
My first thought now is: I hope there is someone out there who was on this cruise with me who saw what went down during the week. (July 15 - out of Boston - to Bermuda) because I would like to know if anyone else experienced what our group experienced by an unruly group of unsupervised young men (who were intoxicated all week). I was with a group of 36 people - all families (with mixed ...
Living just north of Boston makes this cruise quite simple for us. No flights, hotels, just get to the pier. The boarding process is much faster and easier than in the past. The Dawn is a good size ship. Large enough to offer a variety of bars and restaurants, but small enough so you don't feel lost in a crowd. NCL offers 'Free style" dining as well as 'specialty' dining. The Garden Cafe is a ...
We choose this Cruise for convenience out of Boston, however compared to other cruises, I wont do NCL again. The Ship was decent, Newly renovated and Clean, the Housekeeping was Great, However the service otherwise was terrible, Not friendly and SLOW - most of the Time I was forced to get my own drink and even then the lines were ridiculous. We had the Ultimate beverage package, its almost ...
This might take a couple of days to complete so I will use the installment plan. A little about us first. My wife and I are middle age (50 & 56) blue collar workers and this was our 10th cruise. We live in Florida and were visiting some friends in Boston when I decided to surprise my Bride with this cruise for her 50th birthday. We had never been to Bermuda and had never sailed on NCL. Our ...
The first day on the ship was very confusing. There was not a lot of communication from the staff about what to do on the ship while you were waiting for your luggage to arrive in your room. We did have lunch at the Venetian which many passengers did not even know was open for lunch day one.
The days at sea were not very enjoyable. You have to get up early to reserve a seat at the pool. My ...
This cruise vacation would have been excellent except that we traveled with a family group of 17 people and we could not all eat dinner together. Restaurants would not take reservations and if we just showed up , we all got separated. I would have preferred to know we would have all been together at the end of the day to dine together. Everything else was amazing and we really enjoyed our time. ...
