Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

This was a great family cruise for us. The kids loved the kids club. The teens loved the teen club. The food was great, but not excellent, but the service was excellent. The entertainment was good, but not excellent. The ports of call were great. You know what you are getting in Labadee. Aruba Bonaire and Curacao were great places to visit. I was expecting them to be hot, but they were only ...

Terrific Cruise

First off to all the Veteran Cruisers, Let's face it the industry has changed dramatically. The days of the Deck Parties, Ice Carvings, Midnight Buffets, Festive sail away parties and Theme nights are a thing of the past. Not sure what the reasoning is behind all of these cuts is because these in the past were very enjoyable and highly anticipated events. I'm sure it has something to do with $$ ...

Nice ship, DISAPPOINTING casino experience

My review will focus on the casino aspect of the ship as well as my overall opinion of the trip. The Navigator of the Seas is in the Voyager class, and is similar to the Independence of the Seas in its layout. EMBARKMENT: Went quickly from the bus ride with only two passengers, myself and one other person from Fort Lauderdale airport to the Port of Miami. The check in process took less than ...

Overall Good Time

This was our first time on Royal Caribbean so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. In the I have been on Carnival, Holland American, and Disney. My overall impression is positive: we had a good time and enjoyed the ship. Our cabin (the cheaper verandah) was the typical size for a room with a balcony. It was clean and we had no issues with outside noise throughout the trip. The top decks of the ship ...

Better than transatlantic, but....

We decided to get some sunshine & heat and to celebrate a birthday, Christmas & New Year all in one trip. Our room was a JS on deck 9, serviced by Wayan, who did an excellent job. He knew we were early risers, so our room was normally done by the time we got back from breakfast in the Windjammer. We are experienced Diamond Plus cruisers(500+ points), so feel we can give fairly accurate ...

As a background we have cruised with RCCL 7 times previously, on all of the Freedom class ships plus Oasis, Allure and Anthem. We have also cruised with NCL on Getaway, Breakaway and Epic. We booked this cruise back in summer 2015, based principally on the Southern Caribbean itinerary which we had never done – and incidentally was fantastic! Having kept an eye on the (mostly poor) reviews since ...

The AWFUL, the ROOM to improve, the EXCELLENT

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

AWFUL: PADI service. We understand the policy of not serving kids under 12 years old. What it is unacceptable is that the guy from South Africa in charge does not help in contacting other PADI centers to facilitate diving to families with children under 12. “Go online and search” is a rude answer and definitely not a Royal Caribbean style answer. We lost the opportunity of diving in 3 ...

Food and service were abysmal.

In general, the ship was well run, clean, and had a great variety of entertainment and activities. She's showing her age, and is definitely due for drydock and overhaul, but other than that I had no complaints about the Navigator itself. The ice skating rink was a nice touch, and the live shows both in Studio B and the Metropolis were excellent. The bartending staff was probably the best I've ...

We are both Diamond+ members of RC and this was our first time on the Navigator of the Seas. Generally well maintained medium size ship. The itinerary and dates were incredible for 2 snorkel lovers : Bonaire and St Kitts offered the best underwater scenarios! Two incredible tours. The food on the complementary restaurants was a different story: the worst experience ever in RC and that is ...

Great Holiday Cruise with Great Ports

I would have rated higher, but the condition of ships that I have been on lately (this one, the Navigator, and the Rhapsody in early December) were both in need of some TLC. The crew was great as usual. The food was above average but the menu selection was not as good as usual. I enjoyed the cruise a lot. The ports were great. The entertainment was not as good as I have experienced on ...
