First of all, if you are driving, the Miami traffic is very congested. We got into Miami at 9:30 am Allow 1/2 to 1 hour extra time. After checking all the reviews for parking and shuttles, I recommend paying the extra money ($20 / day) and park at the terminal. This will save you a lot of headaches. DH and I flew (50s) in from Ohio to FLL a day early; Got there around noon, Uber'd to our hotel on the beach, walked to a nice place for lunch, walked back to the hotel (got our steps in!), then napped.
