Have been a loyal Royal Caribbean Cruiser for many years now, and I always boasted to friends and family that they live up to their name and recommended them highly; but can't do that anymore. Cuts in personnel and changes to service and benefit standards on the ships have made Royal now below average. First start in the dining room, we were moved to 3 different tables and only got adequate service with the head waiters hovering over the table. Cold food, hour to get appetizers, wrong orders, bread in baskets with no tongs so people I don't know pawing through it...health hazard. Second, the casino, Blackjack tables now pay 6 to 5 with no equal pay for blackjack if dealer has an ace. Spend a lot of money in their casino, and changing these odds made me not play. 3rd front line employees not happy, pay changes, staff cuts, have made the staff no where near as happy as they used to be and it shows. We talked to many high level Loyal Royal Caribbean cruisers and did not find one person that enjoyed the dining room. Most said they are going to look at other cruise lines now as am I. I have 2 other cruises booked with Royal and am considering canceling and looking elsewhere. Read Less

The ship is in bad need of any refresh. The decor is very old. Broken railings, Lights not working, elevator buttons not working on several decks. Having been on several HAL, NCL and Disney cruises, the food overall on this RC sailing was by far the worst. Daily menu only rotated three dishes each night with most of the appetizers and deserts staying the same night over night. Simply lacked creativity. Insulting to have additional dishes listed on the menu but with a charge. Filet Mignon $20 charge in the main dining room. In what fine dining restaurant do they list Tilapia (farmed) as the catch of the day (on two of the 9 nights). Even our servers shook their heads and were embarrassed. No wine packages on RC. They have a sign that you can purchase sets of wine at their vintages shop which will be brought to your table. Discounts offered with the more wine purchased. After three attempts to get it worked out - gave up. Dining staff has no idea how it worked. Vintages staff admitted that it's better to go to their shop on the way to dinner to pick up your selection and take it with you to dinner. So, select the wine before seeing the menu? Didn't try the specialty restaurants. Based on the poor quality of the food in the main dining room along with the classless up sell to get a good dish, we decided not reward RC for that tactic. Although the quality of the food was comparable to a hospital cafeteria, the service was good. Nice people with great stories and conversations. The windjammer was simply terrible. 80% repeated menu day over day. You guessed it Tilapia every day. The activities were fun. The kids enjoyed the wave runner. No waterslides, but the pools were nice. Movies out on the deck would have been nice except the layout is very odd and only a locations have good views of the screen. Odd that they offer no snacks like popcorn and sodas during the night movies like they do on other lines. Not a big deal for us but something to note is the onboard shopping was weak. You know your duty free selection is bad when Disney has a better liquor selection than you. Read Less

the room was nice, the islands were beautiful the staff was pleasant, but the food on the buffet was one step above prison food. The steak house was good, The Italian restaurant was a hit or miss one day good the next horrible. The buffet was always in need of cleaning, and the staff ignored it. So food was always on the counters and floors, not very appealing. and we were nickeled and dimed everywhere we turned. We had a son hop and I word a hot pink poodle skirt with a matching shirt scarf socks and saddle shoes, we had a photo taken and without telling us the photographer took one in black and white. Then could not understand why we were upset with it. Other than that the cruise was with a singing group so there was always something to do , with 4 private concerts for those who booked with them. Not enough chairs near the pool, but plenty of pool room. The promenade was awesome with a circus parade the last day. All in all the cruise was a success because of the singing group we booked with. We have already booked the next cruise with them. It is not with Royal. Read Less

2nd time on this ship. WAS our favorite ship. But over all experience has dropped. Food, shows, ports of call, just was not as good. Big disappointment. two days before debarking my wife came down with the Norovirus or food poisoning. They didn't want her to leave the cabin which I understand why. They said the will send someone to help her get off ship. on debarkation day, and After 3 calls they finally said no one is available to help her. As I write this she is still recovering. The chiefs table however was a great experience!. food was outstanding. The buffet however on galley tour was well, I rather have eaten a hamburger somewhere else. The excursions; just junk store. liquor stores jewelry stores, in a very small location, not town villages to visit and see. anywhere else cost big dollars! The shows just not as good as I remember. I cruise about once a year. I think my cruising days are over. Read Less

This was a charter cruise for us on the Navigator of the Seas 5 day trip that was originally scheduled for Falmouth Jamaica and Labadee, Haiti. Thank you to Royal Carribean for switching ports to Coco Cay Bahamas after the reports of violence in Jamaica. Lets gets to the good stuff. Getting on the ship was a breeze...literally. Almost no wait time in checking in and getting our cards etc. We were early so the rooms were not ready so we hung out for 30 minutes at Cafe Promenade and had coffee and lemonade. Finally the room was ready and we dropped off our luggage, checked out the tv, room and we met our room steward Dexter who was divine the entire trip. The ship provided me with complimentary gallon of distilled water for my CPAP machine and extension cord. All the employees were extremely pleasant and helpful on this cruise. Now the negative. The food was lackluster. It was more like cafeteria food at a hospital than a fine cruise line. It was mostly the same things in the Cafe and the buffet. Also, the buffet closes during certain times and they take down the majority of the buffet at other times and the choices are VERY small. A lot of wasted man power and time appears to be happening around the drink stations. At breakfast there are 2-3 workers making up glasses of apple juice, orange juice and water which were being made too quickly and the ice was melting and making the drinks watery. You had to ask for coffee. They did have several choices of tea for hot teas if that is your thing. they also had gluten free and sugar free options. The ship itself was difficult to navigate which caused us problems. No map of the ship was offered to us but they do have digital boards by the elevators to assist you. The Two Poets bar could be bigger, that seemed to be one hub of activity for cruisers on our cruise. The shops were not really functional and too much space is used on the ship for this purpose. Musical acts in the Metropolus Theatre had sound problems with entire cruise. Hopefully they will figure that out in the future. We were in Cabot 3562 on deck 3 which is same level as Threatre and we could not hear the shows in the cabin. We never used the fitness facilities or the pool because of scheduling of activities on the charter. This was my first cruise on RC and if I were choosing a cruise for my family or a vacation which was not a charter, I would not choose RC based on our experience on this cruise. Read Less

Food was of poor quality. Makes me wonder if it was done on purpose in order to promote the specialty restaurant for an extra cost. The ship needs to be refurbished. There are only 2 electrical outlets in the stateroom which is unacceptable at this day and time. Also, many areas have peeling paint or rust showing through, the beds were extremely hard and the pillows were flat. Ended up sleeping on the sofa. It was more comfortable. Guest Services was a joke. Kept getting different answers about trying to exit the ship for departure and forget the ‘valet’ luggage service. They didn’t get my luggage to the airport, therefore it did not arrive at me final destination. Still don’t have it and now will have to file a claim. I first thought I was being too picky about the food, but when me table mates started to complain, they were ‘emerald’ members, I realized it was not me. Read Less

The ship was very clean. The grand suite was very roomy. The service staff was great. The entertainment was ok. Dinner in the main dining room was good. Had to pay extra to eat at the other restaurants on the ship. The drink package cost was to expensive. I traveled with 7 other adults and we were bored. We seen a couple shows but the activities on the boat was not all that great. The ports was just shopping, no beach. You had to pay again for a ride to a beach. I wanted to hit the beach and get some sun not pay someone to take me there Im at a port with water everywhere. I don't think I will be going on another cruise if this is the way it is on other cruises. I could paid less and just went to Florida beaches. I hope they read these reviews. Read Less

Also our cabin was'nt always vacuumed. Items would still be on the carpet when we would return back to our room. Our toilet had a black residue that could not be cleaned,so this was with us for the entire 9 day cruise.. We have been on other cruise ships before and were really quite surprised to experience things like this on royal caribbean. I'm giving this cruise 2 stars solely because the staff was very friendly, the excursions were exciting, and we had an enjoyable time overall. However, on my final night, I finally realized the many many bug bites I had were not from mosquitoes or from being outside – our room had bed bugs. As you can imagine, this was deeply troubling, as I had expected a certain level of cleanliness and precaution on the part of Royal Caribbean. We were already disappointed when we first arrived and found the sheets both for the bed and the pull-out with several stains, and even when we had the room made up, the same stained sheets were left on. I alerted guest services that I suspected bed bugs, and the man at the desk seemed in no hurry to help and never once apologized for the situation. No one once took ownership of the situation or offered any sort of compensation or solution to our huge inconvenience and frankly disgusting situation. Even as I watched them strip the bed, photograph the bugs, and put everything in plastic bags, no one once thanked me for alerting them to bugs or seemed to think this was an unusual thing. We were moved rooms not for our own safety and comfort but “because they had to clean it before the next passengers came.” We were made to pack our belongings in a hurry and moved to a smaller room with no balcony and no second bed option at 3:30 am – it was understandably the only room available on a full ship, but was not what we had paid for and obviously, not the way we wanted to end our trip. After our experience the last night, a cruise that saved up for and looked forward to for years will now be remembered as the bed bug trip. Not to mention the hassle we had when we got home of disinfecting our clothes, luggage, and precious souvenirs. I am still so uncomfortable and itchy, and disgusted at the thought of having slept there for so long, I feel like crawling out of my own skin. Worst of all, I have e-mailed Royal Caribbean twice and they haven't even had the decency to respond. Their apathy toward this whole experience is crazy to me, and not what I expected from their customer service either. I'm very disappointed with Royal Caribbean, and caution anyone looking to go on a cruise to think twice, and if you do go with Royal Caribbean, check your bed first!! Read Less

Have been on several cruises, this one was the worst. Not sure if it was because it was a charted trip or not, but the staff was unfriendly for the most part. Definitely not the upbeat, sociable staff I have found on other cruises. Food and entertainment were average but nothing outstanding. Staff was not willing to try to accommodate guests. Again not sure if it was because it was the Cruise with Huge charter or if this is the norm for Royal Caribbean. Really a shame. Dining room closed at odd times leaving only the buffet available which was mediocre. We were actually turned away from the dining room a few times which was very odd on a cruise ship. My experience has always been ample opportunities and choices for dining at any time. Entertainment included origami, towel folding and jewelry cleaning - really ? This is a cruise, I expected a lot more fun things to do, including days we were in port and couldn't leave the ship. Read Less

This was my first trip with Royal Caribbean, after more than a dozen cruises with Cunard, Carnival and NCL. I didn't have unreal high expectations however, after this experience, I wonder why is it that RCI is considered a higher standard in cruising? My first negative impression came from staff members, whom I suspect are underpaid and in less than decent conditions on the boat (they can't all be moody!). Most of them have questionable attitudes, as if they cannot be bothered. I am not one of those annoying, obnoxious, demanding customers, actually I have compassion and respect for workers, especially since I worked with Cunard myself. Our deluxe balcony cabin lacked bathroom supplies (no tissues, shampoo, or even bags for garbage) and seemed outdated, there was mold in the shower and in the toilet, yucks. Beds were hard and there were no individual controls for lights, which were either blinding or left us in the dark. Internet service package...I might as well not have wasted my money! Was expecting a work contract and needed to have email available, but was unable to refresh, let alone do anything online. Entertainment was mediocre at best, however I didn't expect super talent aboard a boat. What surprised me the most was the very, very poor quality of the food. Windjammer was distracting due to the buffet nature and variety...but their main dining room, Saphire, omg, every dish looked and tasted like a $3 dollar microwave meal. Don't know if I would give RCI another shot, would have to read reviews. For now, as far as big cruise liners, I believe NCL is a much better choice. This was like Carnival, with less desperate feeders and a higher quality crowd, but overly stuffed the same. Did I mention we waited 3 hours for disembarkation? Read Less

cabin 6298 is opposite a main cleaning storage cupboard where all the room attendants congregate. It is extremely noisy here from early in the morning and in the afternoon. I wouldn't recommend this room. The room was clean and well maintained. The food in the main dining room for breakfast was chaos queues out the door waiting for a seat every morning for a good 15 mins. Then table staff moaning about how many people they had served that morning. Service was not good. We gave up after 2 mornings. Main dining room evenings food was hot and good choices. Windjammer was pot luck depending on what you chose whether it was barely warm or very hot. The food was tasty though when it was hot and we never had a problem getting seated. The ports of call were good and the beaches within walking distance were lovely. I was involved in an incident in the casino while playing roulette where the ball flew out of the roulette wheel at great seed and hit me in the face. The pain was excruciating and meant i couldnt enjoy the ship activities or drinks for a few days as it also effected my neck too. Rather and be supportive Royal Caribbean made me feel like a criminal refusing access to any reports either from the ships safety officer or the casino or access to the video. At a meeting in a tiny room i was surrounded by male officers standing over me behind and to the side in front of the exit doors while a male officer sat opposite me being very blunt and intimidating. When i asked if they had ever seen the ball fly out at such speed before he said arrogantly dozens of times! So my point is why are there no signs up warning of this. It was only about 4 inches from my eye. I have played in casinos for years and never seen it happen ever. When they refused to let me see the video i asked if they could tell me if i turned me neck quickly in a reflex action to stop the ball hitting me directly in the face and thats why it caught me right on the jaw line or whether the force of the ball hitting me is what made my head jerk back. They ignored my requests for this info so now i am back i have no idea what to say to any medical people if i need further treatment. I am a loyal cruiser with RCC and a VIP in the casino. I was given no point of contact for Miami nor did any staff call my room to check on me. Beware if you have an incident as it seems you are at fault and not them. Read Less

We had previously cruised on the Navigator in 2016 and enjoyed it (13 Nights), despite the ship looking a little jaded in places, but the shows and the itinerary made up for the condition of the ship. However in 2017 the ship looks a little rougher, but the shows are identical and the staff are just not interested in being polite and happy. The itinerary had been cut by 3 port days, which meant that there was 5 days at sea and 5 days in port, on the 5 days at sea, 2 of them where crossing the Bay of Biscay, so that wasn’t great, but we knew it would be so, however we were not prepared for such a worn out mattress on our bed, which made the crossing harder, due to the mattress being uncomfortable to start with. We asked for it to be changed, only to find it had been "padded" with towels, which made the hot nights unbearable. Overall this cruise had less days, a shorter itinerary, for more money! The bar service was very slow in some areas. Could have been much better. Read Less

Wanted to see more of Europe so booked with Royal Carribean first and last time! Ship is tired needs a refit though on the positive side is clean. Staff work hard , long days and are always helpfull. Sadly the drinks are very expensive $13 for a glass of wine $3.50 for a can of coke !! There are no price lists at any of the bars so unable to choose other than by looking over the bar . You can buy a drinks package for $65 a day each and can only get one drink at a time so you can't share . Gratuity automatically added of $191 per cabin to your bill unless you opt out . Entertainment was OK in the evening but poor during the day . The main bugbear was the constant hard sell by staff for everything from dinner experiences to photos. Food was good and plentiful in the cafeteria but please loose the plastic plates and dishes they are awfull. Only wanted to sell the tours at destinations so hardly any other information given as to how guests can get about . Also some guests got premier seating and bars off limit for those not paying the premium . Sorry but will not be booking again back to P&O. Read Less

We were looking to return to Royal Caribean for a much needed holiday. Having previously had a wonderful experience with Royal Caribean over 16 years, we were very dissapointed to join the Navagator of the Seas and find a ship so tired in many areas and in need of major investment. The presentation and quality of the food in the dining room also had a great deal of room for improvement. Our Junior suite was to have been a treat for us on what was meant to be a special vacation. The balcony glass, table and lounger were dirty with substancial bird fouling and was never cleaned during the 14 day trip until I did it myself. The suite itself had a couch which was way past it best. We expected better from the images we had seen before booking. In the bathroom you are promised an additional bath, however it is not made clear that there is no walk in shower and that the shower is over the bath, not ideal for the elderly or someone unsteady on their legs to have to climb over the side of the bath to have a shower. The overal experience was not up to the standards we expected did not fullfill the expectations we had. While other ships in the fleet might be better I certainly would not recommend or travel on The Navagator of the seas again. Read Less

Cruised about 20 times - 4 or five with Royal C. Check in very quick and onboard by 11.15 Cabin not cleaned properly for the 2 weeks - never hoovered ( same bits on the floor when we arrived, were still there when we left. Shower had hairs from previous customers... Windjammer awful as not enough staff(maybe due to cuts?) so tables not cleared away quickly enough so you had to sit at dirty tables. Then they were wiped down with dirty napkins - not good enough! Food in Windjammer way down on quality. No one there now to cook you fresh toast, they just cooked it in advance and bought it out in piles so it was cold. Same with fried eggs cooked in a large number then left on plates to congeal, again not good enough. Entertainment rubbish, worse than any cruise we have sailed on. (only one's who liked it were the first time cruisers) Only 1 decent act in 2 weeks were the soul band and we had seen them before on a previous cruise LOL. All other acts were no more than UK pub act types. types. waiters were scarce in all bars properly as so many had bought drinks packages so they did not need to hurry as they already had their money. We had second sitting dining and we went out about 7.30 to see some live music before dinner. Unfortunately there was only live music on Boleros, which seated around 50.... and the ship had 3200 passengers????? Se had to either walk around the shops every night, sit in the lounge on deck 14 staring at the walls or sit in the big star lounge on deck 5 staring at the walls. Why can't these be used for live music? Entertainment when at sea? Belly flop comp? throwing bean bags? paper plane flying in the promenade??? Get real this is not 1950. Royal C is marketing themselves as a modern cruise line and this does it no good at all. Food in the main dining room again no more than average, with little flavour or taste. They tried to make up for it with huge portions. Everywhere was sell, sell, sell. They even tried to sell us speciality restaurants while we eating dinner in the main dining room! Read Less

we picked this cruise to see places we have not been to. the public areas are decent, but the cabins stink. the food [gluten free] is not really their best. in fact neither is their regular menu. it got so we had the waiter, asst., head waiter @ our table most nights taking comments to get to the kitchen [hope it will help future cruisers]. boarding, on & off are simple easy & efficient, we carry off. as stated the cabins & many public areas need a lot of help. entertainment is not too bad, had a British 'comedian' we couldn't understand nor enjoy. and never saw so many people [walk out] leave a theater.rest of the entertainment is pretty standard, musicians are good throughout. service except for our waiters, head waiter, assts. seem not too interested in the guests. ports are not well defined if you are not taking on RC excursion. and the only one we enjoyed was Honfleur [beautiful little city/town] that shouldn't be missed [see photos]. most others we didn't get what we expected, nor paid for. hop on off buses in Lisbon, Vigo & Tenerife, not worth the trouble. in fact in Tenerife, one bus a day @ noon [& of course it was too late]. GranCanaria the taxi 'took' us, asked for 3hr, 80 euro tour, which he stretched into 4hrs & then charged 100 euro & not what was on the meter. look out for Jacinto in cab #111. PontaDelgada we took a private tour to see the island w Harmony Trail [see photo]. pretty good but needs some amplification in the back seats. WOULD NOT TAKE THIS CRUISE AGAIN! Read Less

We chose this cruise as it was leaving from Southampton and visited some ports in the med that we hadn't been to before. Having cruised with RCI before we thought we knew what to expect in terms of food quality etc. We had an outside cabin on Deck 2 which was fine. Good size, very clean, comfy bed, quiet and good shower. The position of our cabin made disembarking at ports very easy without having to wait for lifts! Our cabin steward, Thomas was professional, friendly and worked really hard! The majority of the staff were really friendly and the service was great. The ship is looking a bit tired and dated and has lost some of it's 'wow' factor. The itinerary was good and we were usually able to find a sunbed later in the day when we were able to sunbathe. Entertainment around the pool was sadly lacking; not much in the way of sailaways - usually just Wimbledon on the big screen all afternoon. Windjammer was it's usual mixture of food and the quality was fair - pretty similar to when we cruised on this ship 7 years ago - although the coffee is awful! I was disappointed with the lack of low fat alternatives available. Salad gets very tedious after a while without any low fat/fat free dressings to liven it up. Apart from Balsamic and a low fat raspberry dressing there were no other offerings. I asked for low fat mayo but apparently there is none anywhere on the ship! I'm sure that many people would appreciate a low fat coleslaw or Waldorf salad. Having commented regarding this on an early comments sheet we were presented with two plates of cakes in our cabin to thank us for our comments (was that ironic, taking the mickey or what?) Actually none of the staff seemed to grasp the concept of low fat and in the end I gave up - sticking to bland undressed food for the fortnight. I think the biggest disappointment though was the quality of the food in the Sapphire restaurant; in our opinion this has significantly deteriorated and is definitely not 'fine dining.' There was not one meal that I came away from thinking it had been anything special. In fact a few people we met described it as 'adequate.' We ate in Giovanni, Chops and Izumi - all of which were excellent but of course incurred an additional charge. Entertainment was hit and miss and often incurred additional charges or tried to sell something (very tiresome). Possibly the worst Freddie Mercury tribute I've ever seen. Some of the passengers were quite offensive; fuelled by drink - but no-one seemed to do anything about this. Particularly the overspill from the Two Poets pub where on two occasions we walked past and were treated to the rude version of 'Living Next Door to Alice' I'm broad minded but personally don't appreciate hearing f*** being sung very loudly; especially when children are around. I would not use Vintages as you would be subjected to the equivalent of a Friday night in Glasgow. There were also incidences of men in Cafe Promenade not wearing a shirt while queuing for food. Food being taken all over the ship with dirty plates being left in corridors, under seats and on the stairs. The curfew of 1.00 a.m. For under 18s is a joke as there is nowhere to have a quiet drink without loads of kids (usually eating pizza or cookies) running all over th place. I could go on - but won't - I'm sure lots of people like this kind of holiday and it's taking over from Benidorm etc. If RCI are going that way - then Ok - but be transparent about it. The final thing that tooled the holiday was getting Norovirus - maybe as a result of all the people I witnessed not washing their hands after using the toilet! I appreciate that this isn't RCIs direct fault. They have offered a reduction of future cruise to make up for my time in isolation - no thanks - I will definitely not be cruising with them again. Music in the Windjammer was awful and very loud. At the end of the trip we were delivered envelopes for Additional Tips. You can guess what I did with those. They don't tell you that you can cancel having tips deducted automatically from your account. Do it on the first few days. We found out and was able to stop them being deducted. Despite a fairly recent refurb, the ship looked 'tired' in terms of decorating, furniture, fixtures and fitting from stateroom to bars and public areas. The food was of a far lower quality in the Windjammer and main dining room with a poorer choice and very dull, boring everyday menu items. I want to be wowed on my cruise. The entertainment was not great. A couple of fairly good headliners but the in-house production show had a very weird choice of musical numbers at times and are not the really spectacular shows of the past. Such a shame. We had a smile and a few words from every member of staff we met on our previous cruise. Some were great on this one, but the majority were not and several were downright surly or miserable. We had 4 complaints for guest services. Not once, did anyone take ownership or even apologise for errors. When we discovered our booking for the murder mystery night was cancelled, just a few minutes before we were due to start, not a word of apology for not being told, just, it's been re-arranged for this new date, take it or leave it. On anytime dining, we were seated in several different areas and saw how wide the difference was between servers etc. Some were chatty and informed us about what was on offer and gave good description of the food, others said nothing. I was a little annoyed on the last night when I decided to have the strip steak. When it was on the way, I overheard another server on the next table offering a fillet mignon upgrade for $10. I would have done this in a heartbeat - if our server had told us! We queued everywhere for everything and it was standing room only in the pools. RC have gone too far in terms of the number of guests on board for the available facilities. As you can tell, it was more a series of smaller things that combined to make us less than satisfied but if this is now representative of RC's cruise offerings, we will not be back. Read Less

We were a group consisting of two families equalling 23 of us. The other family picked the cruise line. We were all disappointed. The motto of Royal Caribbean should be changed to hurry up and wait. For example the Captain makes an announcement that everyone needs to be on board by 530 and if you are not, "make sure to bring a camera to take wonderful pictures of the beautiful Navigator of the Seas leaving you behind". Everyone rushes to be back onetime and you are treated with a huge line to board the ship. The dinning room hours are very short for breakfast and lunch, especially on shore days. The leads to all the guests attempting to eat breakfast at the Windjammer. There are not enough tables for everyone so people are eating staring up like animals. the only other alternative is to order room service which takes an hour unless you ordered the night before and you pay the $8 for the convenience. The destinations were all great but we were rushed at every port. The average stay was 10-530, so by the time you got off the ship and to the city you only had a few hours to see the sites. Read Less

This was on husbands bucket list and after a serious illness wanted to go whilst he could still enjoy it. The ship was lovely and on the whole the service excellent and however the service from customer services was appalling. The shore excursions were badly organised and in Zeebrugge the exit from the ship was absolutely appalling and utter chaos. Unlikely to book with Royal Caribbean again. We paid additional for a balcony that we were unable to use for 4 days as maintenance was taking place. Shore excursions were badly organised and for the most part a complete shambles leaving the ship. Some of the blame for this however lays with some of the guests. Leaving the ship at Zeebrugge was chaotic and a complete shambles which was quite dangerous. However the stateroom attendant and the waiting staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. Our son 15 was well catered for. Read Less

The ports of call were the main reason for choosing this cruise. We had previously sailed twice with Celebrity and had been very happy. We assumed, wrongly, that Royal Caribbean being part of the same group would be similar. The cabin was ok but the bathroom was very cramped. The cabin staff were good and the bed was comfortable. The public areas were very busy with seating at a premium. Bar staff were variable with the table service in a couple of bars absolutely awful. It seems that wherever we went there were staff trying to sell something. The choice of food was not great and the main restaurant being a big let down. Again it seemed the only way you get good food is by paying extra for speciality dining at approx 25 dollars per person extra. Will go back to Celebrity and won't be repeating the Royal Caribbean experience Entertainment was very poor with the exception of the Ice show which was very good also the jazz quintet and the classical guitarist were good Read Less

we wanted to see st. Petersburg so we booked this cruise. the entertainment is not all great. the karaoke nights were terrible. the host did not do much so it was so dull. the ice show was the lamest of the ice shows on sea that we saw. the evening production show did not have the quality to it. it felt flat. there was too much indian food. ( I eat and enjoy indian food but it seems they have lots of it). also first time no lobter on any formal nights (there were 3) the tv shows were the same for most of the 12 days. wish they show different shows. internet was the slowest! and the internet guy is so grumpy and just focused on selling and not helping out. first time we can not vpn to work- in all the cruises we have done. understaff and overworked employees. they do their jobs but you can sense they are just there to complete their tasks. not a joyful bunch. most of all our cabins have a bad smell! we had 3 cabins on different decks and all had this musty or canal smell. they were not able to do anything about it. the toilet in our cabin also has some flushing issues (delayed flush) and also the shower does not drain quick. the only nice thing is we had the best head waiter ever - Benedito Gomez. so helpful and accommodating. the only head waiter we saw that did a lot of work! I guess not going on navigator again. Read Less

Unfortunately the attention of the crew was not friendly. The Wig and Gavel bar, the Two poets bar and the pool bars the crew is so unfriendly and with a constant answer: "NO"....YOU CANT DO THIS, YOU CAN´T DO THAT, NO, NO, NO and a smile from them is almost as asking water to stones. Well, in one time the crew of Two Poets took the luxury of scolding me for a confusion in drinks. The crew of the Promenade Cafe...well...THE MOST TERRIBLE NO FRIENDLY ATTENTION IN ALL THE CRUISE. TERRIBLE!!!. The activities are so forced by the crew: the climbing wall, the surf pool. The Windjammer restaurant (buffet) always with the same poor food and always with the same taste. The attitude of the concierge crew looks like a crew of a funeral agency. The elevators are no sufficient for the number of passengers. We ned to wait at least 5 minutes to enter one. The exception of this bad score is for the bar tender of Connoisseur; Eddie is a GREAT PERSON. Also great crew and food quality of the Sapphire and Giovanni´s restaurant. Those was exceptionals. My best greetings to Leonel Mota, to Sheriton and his attenders. I´m certainly that I´m not the best client of Royal Caribbean but, for me the mostest important is to give the best to my family. This is the first and last time for me in Royal Caribbean. The Quality of Celebrity and Disney is a very much better. Read Less
