Chose this cruise because of itenary and we enjoyed visiting each one. Embarkation went smoothly and cabin was ready for 1 pm which was great. Cabin was at front of ship and although nice it was very noisy . Our attendant was fantastic and always welcoming. Din8ng was great in windjammer but not in main restaurant took to long and sat with too many other people. Entertainment great especially Perry Grant who made the cruise!! Also other good headliners but I thought we was on comedy week as we had 4 comedians who were all very similar but still enjoyable . Really enjoyed Cody mindfulness talks they were great. Bar staff couldn’t do enough for you especially those in schooner bar . Main fault was the shuttle bus in Lanzarote what a rip off £12 dollars for 0.5 miles everyone complaining but to no avail very arrogant gentleman at shore excursions in fact worst attitude of all staff on ship . Great holiday would like to return to Navigator after refurb Read Less

Chose this cruise for its Itinerary. Embarkation was stress free and we were on the ship within half an hour of arriving at Southampton. Our cabin, on deck 12, was immaculate and impeccably looked after during our stay. We had seen negative reviews of Navigator but had no complaints - the food in the Sapphire Dining Room was excellent with extremely good choice of dishes and the waiters were friendly, kind and efficient. The entertainment and activities were varied, there was something for everyone and standard of the shows excellent. We loved the Morning show on the TV with Cuddy and Daniel - hilarious. All the crew worked incredibly hard in all areas including the unsung hero’s behind the scenes. The only ‘fault’ we had was with a shore excursion advertised as a ‘Panoramic tour of Agadir’ and turned out to be a view over Agadir of the sea, a visit to a Mosque which was closed and rest of the time was at a Souk! Not value for the money 59$ each. We found Navigator of the Seas to be a very stable ship and was maintained very well - and would certainly travel with Royal Caribbean again. Read Less

Sailing from Southampton ... Chose Navigator as we were becoming disappointed with Celebrity and decided to give RC another try. So glad we ignored negative reports. Far from the tired ship with poor food we were told about. Spotless and shiny...If you look hard , yes you can see signs of wear and tear, but oh how the wonderful, happy and helpful crew made up for it. Meals have plenty of choice , especially if you avoid the nightmare windjammer that was crazy..simply go down to restaurants that offer self serve or waited to a high standard. Lovely table companions, super waiters. Our stateroom attendant was the happiest man we ever met..and that sums up the staff. Happy in their work, unlike some other ships ..made so much difference..We didn't feel guilty for being on a cruise while they worked. For the first time no one asked us to give them a perfect review of they would be in trouble. Royal Caribbean...you got it so right with this ship...We hope your others are the same and we will be back again! This was cruise no. 18...and we are real picky cruisers...this one was one of only 2 we felt we're 100% great value cruises. Good job:-) Read Less

I so enjoyed my time on Navigator of the Seas it was so nice to be back. Navigator is still a lovely ship for me and my cruise seemed to pass so quickly. I know that Navigator is due a dry dock i think in January and many upgrades and changes are to happen. I found the ship to be very well kept and maintained. The staff on board were so amazing Nalini my kind cabin stewardess, Romeo in the Cosmo bar with Duane and Dorrie. I could mention so many other kind staff who made my cruise so wonderful but there are too many to mention. Navigator to me is perhaps getting on in age but well maintained and very clean my cabin was 7589 again clean tidy and well looked after. I enjoyed my dining on board especially Chops which i did for the first two nights. I loved the seas days with the main dining room open for lunch and the lovely Tuti salad bar. I used the Main dining room for breakfast most times which i enjoyed. The windjammer had a great variety of food on port days for lunch and was of good quality. Entertainment was great, in the Schooner bar the guy on the piano amazing the trio quartet in the Cosmo bar and promenade were amazing as well. As i said earlier the staff were so kind and helpful. I did the bridge tour our officer showing us around was Levi he made us laugh and made the tour well informed but so entertaining. We all agreed what a great tour it was. I met up with old friends and new and time passed so quickly. Oslo was my favorite place to go back to i just walked of the ship with a pocket guide and ventured around it was lovely. Read Less

This cruise was chosen for the price and the expected sun. As we had visited each port before except 1 it was an excuse to not do much. Embarkation and disembarkation in Southampton was very easy and smooth. Getting on our bags were taken from our car and severed to us quickly and getting off our bags were collected the night before, w left at our allocated time and bags were easy to find and exit quickly. The ship is clean, tidy and lots of things to do. The Helipad is a fab place to watch leaving and e tearing ports, the main restaurant is a must for breakfast, lunch and dinner on sea days as you don't have to fight for a table which can happen in the buffet restauran. The headliner entertainment was fantastic, but the onboard singer and dancers just had something missing that we couldn't put our fingers on. If you fancy doing the flow rider do it the day you get on as there won't be any cues. Booking tours through the ship came out expensive, however you were guaranteed getting back on the ship if you were held up. Our cabin was an internal over the promenade. This didn't mean it could be noisy later some night, but the size and facilities were good. Twin room with a seating area, large window, fridge, tea facilities, double wardrobe and lots of little areas to store things. The ensuite was good, storage before the corner mirror, good hot shower and the staff kept the room clean and tidy. The I. Room TV was s good source of information as you could check account, download films for a fee, book excursions and watch the various Charles for what was happing. Read Less

This was our first cruise, chosen as I had recently been disabled. The whole experience was trouble free, great staff who always had the customers experience as no. 1 priority. The ship environment was clean and safe, and posed no problem for myself, the staff were always at hand to offer help and assistance when required. The cabin chosen was clean and functional, and served our needs well. We tried the Windjammer for breakfast, and the main dinning room for evening dinner, the food and service offered was excellent, particularly the more personal approach offered in the main restaurant where staff were attentive and knowledgeable . The onboard facilities were excellent, and the professional standard of the entertainers was much appreciated. All in all a most pleasant hassle free experience proven by the fact that we have already booked our next trip with Royal Caribbean, while we were aboard . Read Less

Great ship, excellent food, very friendly stuff, great service, interesting activities. I felt very comfortable on the ship and they offer a wide range of great activities such as different dance classes, karaoke, lectures etc. Food is excellent: The Windjammer is a buffet restaurant where one can eat as much as they wish. For breakfast one can also eat in the more elegant Saphire restaurant. Each guest also gets a dinner time to choose for the Saphire restaurant with very kind waiters. My favourite port of call was Gibraltar, which offers amazing views and the monkeys are also a great attraction. However, make sure you buy tickets in advance for going up the rock or walk up there if you are sporty, because otherwise you will have to wait too long in the queue. I would have liked to spend more time there. Lisbon was the second most interesting port of call for me and is an interesting city. Read Less

We found this to be the best value for money and bing our second cruise it didn’t disappoint, staff, food, cleanliness and experience was excellent. Embarking and disembarking was very smooth with RC very organised. Only thing we were unhappy about was lack of room in bars and entertainment venues on navigator of the seas, can be difficult to get a seat later in the evenings. Pool, dining rooms, windjammer, all excellent. Didn’t uses any speciality restaurants as the main dining room food was very very good, didn’t see point in paying extra when such god food is on offer. Kids deck was busy as to be expected and very good, I would have preferred a slide to the flow rider but that could be just a personal choice Read Less

This was our first cruise and we loved it. Royal Caribbean staff were all very good and focused on ensuring we had a great time. We arranged our own travel to and from the ship which went well. The check in process was fairly seamless inc our bags being taken from back of taxi to our cabins so we could immediately enjoy and explore the ship. The cabins (spacious ocean views) did feel spacious. We were on deck 9 and right at the front of the ship which was great for seeing where we were. Dining experiences in the main dining room were on the whole superb. We didn’t see the value in paying for speciality restaurants. The ports were good with highlights being Lisbon ( the RC Land and Water excursion was superb), Cadiz ( we simply walked off the boat and had a lovely walk along the promenade and then through the narrow city streets - a beautiful city), Gibraltar ( don’t pre book - we simply paid a taxi driver for a 90 min tour of rock and caves and then were dropped back in town. Much cheaper) & Palma ( we did RC Drach Caves tour which was very good). The shuttle bus is a rip off! 20 euros each to get you out of the port!. We thought Sardinia was very shabby and wouldn’t return. Finally, we did RC tour to Guadalest in Alicante which was very pretty. The post booking info could be better and would be the main thing I would want improved. You get a link to log into cruise planner which has options to buy things like drinks package that we had already bought. The information for cruise virgins was poor, especially when you then watch information on tv on the ship that explains all the things you wanted to know before you left! Read Less

Time of year and amazing destinations we have never experienced before. Most were easily explored on our own. Great weather may for memorable sunsets and good use of the balcony. Travelling under the Great Belt Bridge with 1.5 metres to spare at midnight was thrilling. We enjoyed the itinerary so much we would repeat the experience one day. Would have liked to call into Stockholm but was not on this itinerary. Entertainment was pretty good especially the pianist in the Schooner Bar which had a great atmosphere. The ships orchestra were brilliant and much enjoyed also as trios at other times. The dining experience was the only thing that let it down - the queues were enormous and sometimes we decided to go without a dessert or we would have missed a show. The service was slow arriving from the kitchen to the table. The food was great when it came but when you are sitting on a table for two it was a long wait and when you are sitting on a larger table we sometimes run out of conversation! The food itself was delicious even for us vegetarians. Read Less

We initially wanted to sail ona Celebrity Cruise as we had sailed with them on several occasions before. This time the dates did not match our schedule and so we chose Royal Caribbean instead, to give it a try. This is our first cruise on Royal Caribbean and we were not disappointed. Although some parts the ship looked dated it was fairly clean. The food in the Sapphire dining room was surpruisingly very good. The dining room staff were very attentive to our needs and regularly solicited feedback. They went out of their way to please us, all the time with a cheerfful smile. We appreciated the excellent service of our waitress Ruby capably assisted by her assistant Shivnath. Another pleasant surprise was the lunch salad buffet spread in the Sapphire dining room. Here we could dine in fairly intimate setting away from the hustle and bustle of the Windjammer Cafe. We also appreciated the fact that the ship was able to receive satellite TV programmes and screened the World Cup matches each time the matches were beng played. I only exercised in the gym twice. Each time I noticed that used towels and wet wipes were left uncollected. I felt that this could have been improved. Regarding the entertainment, the ship's orchestra was superb. We enjoyed the dancing and singing shows although not so much the comedian as one had to get used to his humour in order to appreciate it. The magic show and the skating shows were great. We were particularly appreciative of Raffy the pianist. His skills were really excellent. I felt that he should have been a soloist with the ship's orchestra. We made many nice people on board and this greatly enhanced our memorable experience. Read Less

We chose this itinerary as we had never been to this part of the world before and love RCI. Embarkation/debarkation was flawless and quick. We chose a promenade cabin which was fine, quite quiet and kept clean by Adams. Couldn’t fault the food in the Windjammer, Chops Grille or the MDR. All the staff were very friendly and efficient. Everywhere was kept lovely and clean, all the toilets were spotless always. 2 sides to the entertainment; the first comedian we had do 2 shows was really funny, the 3 tenors were amazing, as was the ventriloquist. Toni Warne was very good too. Unfortunately we didn’t rate the ships singers/dancers very much, they weren’t awful, but not particularly good. They seemed too loud. We also didn’t rate the Queen tribute band, quite a few people did walk out and the comedian on the last night wasn’t too funny (only the last 5 minutes). He seemed to shout too. This is personal taste and only my opinion. The ice show was wonderful, very professional and enjoyable. Wish they did more than one! The shore excursions were good, though St. Petersburg was extremely busy being July, but we did the 2 day tour with RCI and our 2 guides were amazing. Only problem, which we’ve experienced before, is the Americans on our coach pushed to the front for everything, so rude some of them, one nearly knocked me over to get on the coach before me. Why? We all have a seat on the coach and are going to the same place, but they just barged straight to the front of any queue. Urgh! Overall this was an excellent cruise and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We honestly couldn’t fault anything, the food, the staff, the ship and most of the people we met were lovely. Read Less

We choose this cruise because of the stops and total days. This was a great way to see other world cities and have a great time doing so. It was our 3rd cruise with Royal Caribbean, a great cruise line and very well organised. Never a dull moment. All the shows were great and the comedians were quite funny. A great variety with dancing and singing by some of the best performers on any ship. The whole crew did an awesome job from housekeeping to dining and other activities. I personally liked the artwork for sale. The variety and quality of art would make any collector happy to attend any or all auctions. The Park West personal were very knowledgeable about all works of art and artists. Adrian and his crew were more than helpful. They even had raffle giveaways which included free art work and even bottles of champagne. All of this is a bucket list must do. Read Less

We chose this cruise to the Baltics with the Royals as we have sailed with them before and chose this part of the world because we had not been before and don t like the weather to be too hot. We had a suite on deck 10 which we were delighted with so quiet and the view from it was amazing - beds were comfortable and had great sleep. Our Cabin attendant was delightful and looked after us all the time - thank you so much Imade Muliana. We had a delux drink package which would recommend and a five night dining package all the restaurants were exceptional - the Windjammer was also very good - no complaints with any of the food. The shows on board were also of an excellent standard - the activities were excellent something for everyone - what an atmosphere it was electric. The excursions - of which we did five were very interesting and organised exceptionally well. You would never know there were thousands of people on the Navigator it was never overcrowded anywhere you went on the ship. All the staff were 5 * nothing too much trouble and always with a smile anytime of the day or night. Our Daughter and son in law accompanied us on this cruise and they had a great time too. The next trip we go on will be to Alaska most definitely. So thank you Navigator of the Seas and her staff for a wonderful safe and exciting journey Read Less

This was our third cruise on a Royal Caribbean vessel and as usual everything ran like clockwork. Our embarkation at Southampton was effortless and took less than ten minutes from entering the embarkation hall to being on board the Navigator of the Seas. Although our cabin was not ready at the time of embarkation as we had arrived early provision was made on board to have a meal in the Windjammer (self service restaurant). The variety of food and quality was suitable for all tastes. While the quality of the food was not exceptional it was more than adequate for our tastes and we were more than happy with it. An announcement was made when the cabins were ready to be occupied and we proceeded to our inside cabin. We had purchased a "guaranteed" cabin which amounts to pot-luck but we were not disappointed with the one allocated to us. (Cabin 6135). Our baggage was delivered to our cabin in the late afternoon after having been left in the embarkation hall for Royal Caribbean to deliver to our cabin. We opted for "My Time Dining" which meant we could choose anytime we preferred within the opening hours of the main dining room. We chose to share a table and added to our enjoyment by meeting from all walks of like. As stated the quality of the food was more than reasonable without being outstanding but this is a subjective view as this is our opinion. The service in the main dining room by Oliver and Sachin was excellent and we appreciated their regular input regarding recommendations. The entertainment was average other than the ice show which was outstanding as was the band/orchestra. We did not participate much in the entertainment on board, however, a large variety as available on a daily basis. Unfortunately we visited Oslo, which is within walking distance of the port, on a Sunday, where everything was closed. Our next port of call was Copenhagen where we took a Hop-on-Hop-off Red Bus that collected us on the Pier and returned by a shuttle bus which was included in the price. Helsinki was celebrating a public holiday and to the disappointment of most there was not much to do. The highlight of our cruise by far was the visit to Saint Petersburg which is a must, although the process through passport control is cumbersome, Royal Caribbean had the process well organized and we were able to get through within 25 minutes where we were met by our tour guide. We had pre-booked a tour with Alla Tours and as we are senior citizens we were advised by Anja at Alla Tours to do the two day "Must See Tour". A tour of Saint Petersburg is a must! The old city of Tallen was very interesting and we used a shuttle bus as it is approximately a 30 minute walk from the harbour. Skagen, in Denmark, is a small fishing village which we visited by using a shuttle bus as it is approx 25 minutes walk from the pier. In summary we had a fabulous cruise, well catered for by RC, and disembarkation was a walk in the park. Would we recommend this cruise and cruise liner, hell yes. My husband and I were travelling with a group of 60 passengers and this was our 1st ocean cruise. I was nervous about being on the open seas, but once on board Navigator of the Seas, all fears were gone. It was a smooth sailing vessel even when the N. Sea became a little choppy. Thoroughly enjoyed the live shows in the theater, the entertainment (trivia, sing-a-longs, etc. ) in the Schooner lounge, friendly chats at Boleros, dancing and socializing in the Cosmopolitan and the English pub. My favorite though was the Promenade Cafe, where we were able to indulge in English scones and other pastries with a nice cup of tea at any time we wanted too. I decided to have a spa hour and enjoyed a soothing massage in clean comfortable surroundings. Also enjoyed the gym, but preferred to take in the fresh sea air by going for walks on the decks. As for the meals, our scrumptious dinners were in the Sapphire Room and we had our breakfast and lunches in the Windjammer, which were delicious and fresh. I did not get to eat at any of the other restaurants, but heard that the meals were great. Also had fun and enjoyed the on board shopping. Had the opportunity to have a chat with the Captain which was a highlight. The crew from different parts of the world were courteous, very friendly and helpful. It was a super experience to be on board the Navigator of the Seas. Read Less

As it was my 60th birthday we wanted a special holiday to mark the occasion. We both love cruising and St Petersburg has always been on my 'bucket list', so we chose to sail with Royal Caribbean on a Baltic cruise itinerary - we were not disappointed. Embarkation in Southampton was smooth and well organised. My partner uses a mobility scooter and we were fast tracked through ... before we knew it we were onboard! The Navigator is showing its age ... and in need of a refurb but it is clean and has a friendly relaxed feel. Our stateroom was large, clean and met our requirements perfectly (see cabin review). We felt at home straight away! Ash, our cabin steward, was great - friendly and fun! We were on My Time Dining, most nights we went down about 7pm and were accommodated without any problem .... most nights we had the same table. Julien ... our waiter, was fabulous! We couldn't fault the food- although the portions were huge! We do not go to the main show in the evenings ... preferring the smaller venues. We particularly enjoyed watching The Vendettas.... brilliant band. We managed to catch at least one of their sets every night. We also liked Rodel (guitarist) .... although felt that he wasn't always performing in the best location- for example Promenade deck. We chose the ship excursions in all ports except St Petersburg, where we splashed out on a 2 day private tour (just the 2 of us with our personal driver and tour guide) with MaxiBalt which was fantastic and worth every penny. The world cup was on whilst we were there and our driver took us out to see the new stadium and we also had chance to experience the FanZone! Little extras we would not have seen on an organised excursion. What a fantastic holiday! The whole experience was one to be repeated..... we will definitely sail with Royal Caribbean again! We chose this cruise mainly because the ports of call are places which we have not been to yet. Port of embarkation was also a plus since we were able to go around London a few days before the actual cruise. This was my third time to cruise using Royal Carribean and from the first time I cruised with RCL, I was very impressed. Their food selection in the Windjammer is very wide especially if one prefers to have a casual dining. The Sapphire dining is a great alternative for breakfast if I prefer a more formal ambience. I love the salad bar served during lunch at the Sapphire dining during sea days and for dinner, service of waiters are excellent. And after dinner, we always look forward to the shows at the Metropolis theater which has been prepared very well. The cruise director and staff have always prepared activities fit for all. As for the cabin we stayed in, it was spacious and was always kept clean by our stateroom attendant. All our requests have been granted. I feel that whenever I am onboard Royal Carribean, I feel pampered by all the friendly staff of the ship. The shore excursion options are all good. And the way the excursions were handled were very orderly. I am now planning my next cruise with Royal Carribean that will fit my budget and the dream places I would like to see. Read Less

The maintanance of the ships was excellent. Food was very nice and lots of different cuisine and variety to choose for. The menus was slightly different everyday so that you could have different food everyday. And there were some other special restaurants which is worth to try. I always wanted to go to Scandinavia and st.Petersburg.iheard review from other People about the Royal Caribbean ships how wonderful they are. I had a really wonderful time on the cruise and the food was great!!! The ship was fabulous and the service in the whole was good. The only thing that was bad was the cabin which I feel was falsely advertised and too small meaning four of us had to sleep on bunk beds in a cramped environment. I hit my head a few times and the rest my family found this arrangement really uncomfortable. We did complain to customer services however the ship was full capacity and we couldn’t get an upgrade. In the end we were only given a complimentary meal. Make sure you check your cabin size as this will ruin your holiday! The tours were also really good however I feel there was not enough to do on board on the sailing days. A good holiday despite the above but make sure you book with a travel agent as the website is really misleading. Read Less

We chose this cruise due to the itinerary and destinations and had never been on a cruise before. After this cruise I have to say that we're now complete cruise converts. Such an easy way to travel from check in, to ports to departure. The ship was beautiful with a great choice of bars and restaurants. There was always something to do even on the days we were at sea. The only thing that could potentially have been improved is that at some of the ports the departure time was early so we didn't get that long to explore. We did a couple of the excursions which were fine, but would prefer to explore ourselves so not to be hanging around waiting for other people and this was easy enough to do. The service was second to none and we would have no hesitation in booking with Royal Caribbean again. Read Less

The staff are first class could not fault a thing about any of them - special shout out to the Activities Manager he does a brilliant job. The food was incredible- we ate mainly in the Dining room and food and service was incredible. We thought that the food in the Windjammer was excellent too but it was a bit of a scramble at peak times to get a free table even to share. The itinerary was fabulous we loved every port of call but the highlight for us was Russia St Petersburg it was breathtaking. The bars around the ship do fill up quickly and if you are on a late dinner service by the time you have eaten around 10pm the bars are packed and it can be difficult to get a place. If there was a big bar around the size of The Star Lounge where you could chat etc with or without entertainment that would be great but we usually found a place but it just took a bit of walking around. The entertainment was very good we loved The Ice Show, there were shows in The Metropolis each night, there was daily entertainment along The Royal Promenade too. Plenty of quizzes , karaoke and lectures. Our cabin was spacious and we had a very big port hole letting in a lot of light. It was kept immaculately clean by our attendant who was there twice a day. Our third cruise aboard a member of the RCI fleet this, we think, proved to be the best so far. Although Hamburg, Oslo and Bruges don't perhaps have the tropical appeal of our earlier voyage on Splendour, this itinerary, with a day at sea in between each port of call proved both very interesting and delightfully relaxing. Check-in at Southampton was busy but smooth and our cabin up to the usual high standards. The ship looked great and the facilities on board were excellent and accesable even on this sell-out, half-term voyage. The food in both the Windjammer and Sapphire dining room was excellent and, of course plentiful. The service was prompt, polite and friendly and, as we have learned over the years, we were glad we had pre-booked a drinks package so we could have as much or as little as we wanted. Nice to see the freshly squeezed orange juice is now included in the drinks package as opposed to the add-on it has been in the past. The entertainment was of a high standard in all venues and there was always plenty going on for the party animals on board. Our one slight niggle was the level of the piped music played in the Sky Bar which was just a little too loud for those seeking a quiet corner during the day to chat or chill. I'm not saying there shouldn't be any background music but this was not really in the background but dominated the room to such an extent that my wife and I left to find somewhere else on one occasion. A minor niggle but one that is probably worth resolving. Overall we had a wonderful week and returned to Southampton rested and revitalised. We will be back on board the RCI fleet soon! Read Less

We chose this cruise because of the deal. Buy one get second half price and Deluxe drinks package included in the price. Embarkation was smooth and efficient and very early! This was our first time with Royal Caribbean and we very very impressed. The layout of the ship was impressive, not too big but with plenty on offer. Balcony cabin was spacious and maintained beautifully by the cabin attendant Andy. Food was excellent, we had previously booked the 4 night a la carte dining package but the food in the main restaurant was really good so next time we will probably only book 2. However Sabor, the Tapas restaurant was superb so we went twice! We also booked the Chef's table which was worth every penny, a truly memorable experience. We took 2 RCI excursions and one outside company for Oslo. They offered a longer tour and cheaper price which was fabulous.Hamburg with RCI was only OK as the roads were very busy at rush hour in the morning, but the RCI Bruges tour by coach and boat was really good. Last year we were on the P & O Ventura which we enjoyed but the Navigator experience was much much better. We are hooked now on RCI but not with the newest biggest ships, they will be too big for us! This was the first time taking our girls with us and they absolutely loved it. The bar staff are fantastic - especially Tito from the schooner Bar. (Always smiling and amazing service) The entertainment was also excellent as well as the food. we really enjoyed the talent of Anthony Michael in the schooner Bar. Great piano player and nice bloke. Our balcony state room was very nice and clean and you can tell that a lot of care goes into cleaning the room and shower/bathroom. We would definitely go again. we didnt do any or the port excursions tending to do our own thing by getting a taxi or shuttle bus. This seemed to work just fine. We had room service (breakfast) on one day but it was missing an omelette! Other than that it was a fantastic trip enjoyed by all of our family. Our children are 17 and 19. Read Less
