Cruising with no hidden drawbacks

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

First Time Cruiser • Age 60s

This was our first cruise, chosen as I had recently been disabled. The whole experience was trouble free, great staff who always had the customers experience as no. 1 priority. The ship environment was clean and safe, and posed no problem for myself, the staff were always at hand to offer help and assistance when required. The cabin chosen was clean and functional, and served our needs ...

July 2018 7 night cruise

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

Is cruising for you?

The ship is starting to look tired and a little shabby in some places i.e. Carpets and stairs on the pool deck. But the cleanliness on board is second to none and the staff work tirelessly to ensure your holiday is the best. Food was wonderful. Plenty of choice in the Windjammer. Very busy at times but always managed to find a table. Food was hot, presented well and delicious. Table clearing ...

Can still be enjoyable if you don't let the cost cutting get to you

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

We cruise with RC quite regularly so it is very easy to notice the ever increasing evidence of cost cutting each time we go on board. It hasn't quite reached the point where I would consider going elsewhere but it's very close. Firstly, the Main Dining Room. Vastly understaffed. Can't blame the wait staff. It's not their fault that there isn't enough of them. Result is a very long wait between ...

Floating mall catering to kids in the North Atlantic

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

Its a floating mall with too many people and too few hours ashore at ports of call, The North Atlantic is too cold even at the height of summer: literally too windy and/or cool (or even rainy) to enjoy being outside for a good part of the time. Especially galling is RC letting guests reserve lounge chairs in the pool areas, when it was nice out, by leaving their towels and whatnot there as they go ...

Our 9th cruise and the worst!

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

Family celebration with a total of 11 adults and children. Several had more, some less cruise experience. Started off with having to call because of candy wrappers, and crumbs on couch and near full windows of our suite. Luggage did not arrive until after 9 p.m.. Main dining was very good (our attendants were excellent!). Buffet was the worst, food cold, was generally not good quality and we ...

Choose RC as the service and ships are very good, everything you need for holiday. Plenty to do on and off ship with great itinerary. We found this to be the best value for money and bing our second cruise it didn’t disappoint, staff, food, cleanliness and experience was excellent. Embarking and disembarking was very smooth with RC very organised. Only thing we were unhappy about was lack of ...

BAD POINTS Cabin - misleading description and dated Entertainment - very poor overall Seating for party of 5 almost impossible especially in entertainment venues On board prices - ludicrous Return journey deliberately made slower , if normal speed had been maintained it would be possible to fit in another stop . Lied to us about a compensation agreement and have even ...

Cruise full of hormonal teenagers and screaming kids

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

We chose this cruise to celebrate the 70th birthday of my wife's aunt. Staff was fantastic. Could not fault them one bit. Food at Windjammer was good. Food at other restaurants was average to good. The ship is starting to show clear signs of age and being tired. And cruises like ours that was full of teenagers and kids doesn't help. The behavior of most teenagers was disgusting. Some ...

Great itinerary, good value family vacation with teens

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

Ship was in generally good shape. Some wear but upkept well. Clean roomy ship, bright and cheery. Easy on, easy off. Well organized and pleasant staff. We traveled with mostly folks from Great Britain (we’re from Chicago, USA) and they were terrific. Courteous and friendly. Main Dining. Generally, I enjoy eating at the dining room. I like the formality of dressing for dinner, ...

Good cruise, outdated ship

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

This is our 6th cruise and 5th with Royal Caribbean. We were on Navigator last year for a Baltic cruise and even booked this cruise onboard, but we were a lot less impressed this time around. Embarkation at Southampton was efficient and very fast as always. Upon boarding the ship, we were informed that due to the Norovirus outbreak on the previous sailing, the rooms wouldn't be ready until 2pm. ...
