Enjoyable Cruise

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Navigator of the Seas

My only small complaints are that there weren't enough variety of games or cards in the game room. And, the special lobster meal for $29.95 was horrible. The free lobster night was 100% better. Loved the duplicate bridge in the afternoon. Was a bit too cold to lay out by the pool. The ports were nice - different than normal repositioning ports. I would have preferred more fun activities ...

14 Days is a LONG Time....

Keep in mind that this is just my second cruise and I am not exactly a "cruise person." The idea of taking multiple cruises every year makes no sense to me at all. Anyway, we signed up for this "repositioning cruise" because the initial price was low and because the idea of crossing the Atlantic seemed like a good one. Sailing-wise, things started out fine, but the last three or so days at sea out ...

Royal needs to try harder

We used to sail RCCL often, but have recently switched to Celebrity. Back on RCCL due to a great itinerary, we could really see the differences. Just little things, but it will return us to Celebrity for our future cruises. Royal is just a bit too nickle and dime, and the amenities are just that much less special. Overall: After spending the winter in the Caribbean, this Transatlantic ...

European Cruise

Really enjoyed this cruise, The only drawback is the 6 days at sea with no port call. There were plenty of things to do, but you still got bored a little. The ship was nice. We had an inside cabin with a view to the Promenade. Even with all the activity on the Promenade, our cabin was really quite. The food was great on board, we ate most of our dinners in Main dinning, and Breakfast and lunch in ...

Less than royal treatment on Royal Caribbean

We wanted to go to Europe and on other ships we love sea days. Embarkation went smoothly. It was just before bed that we got our bags though. They weren't delivered, we hunted them down and brought them to our cabin ourselves. The ship is a mess. Automatic doors don't open- you have to stick your fingers in and heave to get out on deck. Good luck in an emergency evacuation. At least 5 doors ...

Disappointment abounds

Heard good things about RC, and had tried carnival, princess and Costa. Sadly RC failed to even match any of those on all levels. :-( Food was mediocre, and lacking in choice. Dining room food was consistently hot though, which is commendable. Not once in 14 days did we get offered pepper mill. Small thing, but telling. TV choice was so repetitive and limited it was scandalous. They ...

Family holiday with grandparents who often cruise with Royal Caribbean. The cruise was beautiful, fantastic staff, amazing ports. We stopped at Aruba, Bonaire, Curaco and Haiti. Every island had beautiful beaches and great shops. enough for everyone to do in the family! We ate in the dining room, and our waiter was fantastic, food was amazing. We could order as much as we wanted, and it was ...

A vacation is only as good as you want it to be...

This was a family easter cruise. We usually never celebrated easter with a vacation, but this time around we wanted to do something different. The itinerary was the definite attraction, but having cruised before I was overall satisfied with the status of the Navigator of the Seas. Embarking the ship was no real drama, and everyone was quite anxious to get onboard. The weather leaving out of Miami ...

Grand Suite is the way to go

Cruise was mediocre. We booked 2 years in advance with 3 other couples. We had a good time with good friends, but there were many issues. The UTV excursion in Aruba with our guide Matthew was the most fun I've ever had getting covered in an inch of dirt. Worth the money to take this excursion if you like to off-road. Be forewarned that the glass bottom kayak excursion in Bonaire is only ...

Great Family Cruise

From embarkation to disembarkation this trip went smoothly. The ship was clean, the food was great, and the staff was exceptional. The only complaint... they Flow Rider should have been open more hours of the day and at night. This created long lines and only a few rides for my kids. The shows were good, funny comedians and talented singers and dancers. The food was good in the main ...
