We have been on many cruises before, we usually gravitate toward Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. We chose a balcony suite, mid ship. We purchased The Key , which is a VIP choice that allows you to be boarded first, and you were met with a lovely lunch, and if you want to see shows you there is a special roped off section for key holders. It was definitely worth the money. We went to the restaurant ...

After canceling more cruises due to COVID then I've ever been on I was very much looking forward to finally getting on this ship with my family and my neighbors' family. Unfortunately, not all of us would make it, as my son got sick the day before sailing and my wife decided to stay home with him. That was the beginning of a really weird weekend, but the weirdness had nothing to do with the ship ...

First cruise in years ... awesome

Just got off the Navigator today and it was just awesome. We live in the LA area, so it was it super easy to get to the port and get on the ship and have a real vacation without really missing much time from work. The check-in was super easy and fast. We had a delay getting to the port, so I was a little concerned. We got to the port at 2:10 or so, but we were still on the ship by 2:30. All ...

This is our 6th cruise with RC and it’s our 10th cruise overall having taken Celebrity for our other past cruises. I mention this to give you context. Port of LA Prepare before you leave to be waiting quite a bit to drop your luggage as well as collect it after the cruise. Despite a timed arrival, the port was completely overwhelmed and under-staffed. Prepare for 60-90 min to get on the ...

NOT WORTH IT! BE PREPARED TO DO YOUR OWN MAINTENANCE IN AN OWNER'S SUITE ):

Forget spending the big bucks for the Owner's Suite unless you are ready to do your own maintenance in this suite (1300). Yes it is nice and spacious. That email you get from the concierge is for show only. Do not expect to get what you ask for. And you will be very lucky if anyone answers the phone. Don't open the sheers as the screws will come out of the railing. The TV, well - you better ...

The Navigator is a Beautiful ship. Easy parking at the port. $20 a day. We had a balcony cabin on deck 12. Cabin 1888. Entertainment on board was Vegas quality. We loved all of the shows. Dining- Main dining was a 6/10. Service great. Food soso. But I am a spoiled by cruising higher end cruise lines. Windjammer buffet was okay. Nothing special. On deck Mexican food was ...

This may not be the ship for you if you are not traveling with family....

Let me start by saying I don't think I should be treated "special", but when you are sold a Grand Suite because of all the supposed wonderful extras and ammenities, then you sort-of have a raised expectation... especially when I have sailed a suite-class on other cruise lines. And because I have often sailed with RC's sister company, Celebrity, I was Platinum level in their Crown & Anchor Society ...

A few great things and more to work on

There were some good things about our cruise.  The COVID testing process for kids, while unfortunate to have to do, went as smoothly as it could have.  The staff running it were helpful and efficient; we were in and out in less than half an hour.  On the ship, the service in Windjammer and Cafe Promenade was fantastic - the people who work there were so kind and attentive!  The food from El Loco ...

Still worth it but chinks in the armor

Embarkation-I agree with another review. They have you download vax card and negative test then you are required to pull it out of your suitcase 2 or 3 more times after being stowed away-annoying. Area was quite hot with little air flow and lack of direction as to what is expected next. Security personnel were rude as well but alas we made it through. Food-Quite good. I am a picky eater and ...

Underwhelming in my opinion!

We chose this cruise because we were celebrating my parents 50th Anniversary and they didn't want to fly so out of LA we have two options, Carnival or RCCL. Having cruised Carnival many times I suggested RCCL thinking / knowing it would be a better fit. All I can say is that I was very underwhelmed by everything on this cruise. I was on this same cruise the end of January and had a great time, ...
