It was a family cruise foe Eleven of us.
The Ship was lovely and the staff were real friendly.
Myself my partner and 14 year old daughter in cabin, was quite small not a lot of space when they put the sofa bed down.
My brother had an inside cabin with his wife and 2 daughters of 14 and 16, not enough space to swing a cat, really not suitable for a family room as they call it,o.k if your ...
We booked our cruise with Cruise Village who were amazing througout the whole booking process.
We drove to Southampton & check in was seamless everyone was extremely helpful. Boat & staff were amazing. Food outstanding!! Kids clubs were great my 3 young children loved it.
We loved waking up in a different place most days. Particularly loved Valencia & Lisbon.
Our twins celebrated there ...
Embarkation at Southampton was excellent, very fast and efficient and we were onboard by 10.45am. Cold, wet and windy weather meant a rocky journey to Gibraltar and the Royal Parade was extremely busy as everyone was indoors for 2 days. (The 2 days back at the end though were sunny and warm so we were able to stay around the pool.) Our cabin , a grand suite, was lovely, and we enjoyed breakfast on ...
Have sailed on Independance twice and its great. This ship is similare size, but older, and it is starting to show. Definite lack of maintenance all round and things like broken tiles in toilets, scuffed and dirty seats and torn carpets etc. Makes you wonder what the rest of the ship is like.
Biggest thing was lack of staff (assume lots of staff have been robbed to staff new ships). So ...

Navigator of the Seas/ Balcony Stateroom.
A cruise of two halves. One bit good, the other not so good.
Not the first time I have sailed on Royal Caribbean but my first time on Navigator. Overall our cruise was good and we did have a great time in all the ports we visited but I was very disappointed in the condition of the ship. Navigator is looking very old and tired and ...
1st cruise booked as a special occasion for our 25th anniversary. Travelled with 2 children 11 and13 years. Cruise was overcrowded with queues for everything. Activities over subscribed. Staff looked exhausted and harassed and couldn’t cope with numbers on board. Communal areas dirty. Food in main restaurant was hit and miss and sent food back on several occasions, but because service was so slow ...
This cruise was chosen for the price and the expected sun. As we had visited each port before except 1 it was an excuse to not do much. Embarkation and disembarkation in Southampton was very easy and smooth. Getting on our bags were taken from our car and severed to us quickly and getting off our bags were collected the night before, w left at our allocated time and bags were easy to find and exit ...
We cruise with RC quite regularly so it is very easy to notice the ever increasing evidence of cost cutting each time we go on board. It hasn't quite reached the point where I would consider going elsewhere but it's very close.
Firstly, the Main Dining Room. Vastly understaffed. Can't blame the wait staff. It's not their fault that there isn't enough of them. Result is a very long wait between ...
Its a floating mall with too many people and too few hours ashore at ports of call, The North Atlantic is too cold even at the height of summer: literally too windy and/or cool (or even rainy) to enjoy being outside for a good part of the time. Especially galling is RC letting guests reserve lounge chairs in the pool areas, when it was nice out, by leaving their towels and whatnot there as they go ...
It just keeps getting worse. I’ve been on 2 cruises before, all with Royal Caribbean and I thought they were ok but this year was bad.
- Embarkation was smooth.
- Breakfast was the same every morning ( sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs etc) I wish there were more healthy options.
- Lunch was good, more varieties and new things every day
- Dinner and service was good apart from Steak. I ...
