Great Time on the Conquest

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Conquest

We had a great time on the Conquest. The embarkation and debarkation were both a breeze, we are platinum on Carnival so we were able to skip the general lines. We both felt the entertainment was above par, thoroughly enjoyed the shows and the music outside the main show room. Service was also top notch, from cabin steward to dinner staff, everyone was on their game. Dinner food was very good, we ...

The Good and Not So Good

Almost a year ago my agent found this cruise for us. Good price with OBC and you could choose your room.A first for us. Usually we do a guarntee and find out our room at final payment. We wanted to see Key West again. And finally see Harry Truman`s White House and the Hemmingway house and the 6 toed cats. We flew from Kansas City to Ft. Lauderdale the day before the cruise. Staying at the ...

Not Bad with One Exception

It was 6 days at a good price. Although I have been to these ports, I like the cruising. People were great, the food was good, and the crew were very helpful & friendly. My only issue was the A/C Maintenance staff, one or two from Customer Service. The A/C either worked full force,...( I was trying to get away from the cold) or nothing, no circulation at all. It seems the they did not know how ...

Service lacking on outdated ship

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Conquest

This ship needs a major overhaul! The theme is so outdated and the decor bordered on tacky. Clashing carpets, walls, colors and decorations and the ceilings were really low. I tried the adult hot tub near the rear of the ship and was grossed out by the major rust bubbling up on the metal around the tub. No one came to clean up the dirty drink glasses that were laying everywhere around the edge ...

Emergency evacuation procedure on Carnival Conquest

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Conquest

My Negative Comment: I just want to say that the Carnival Cruise lines needs to improve their Emergency evacuation procedure. We stood on deck for 40 minutes while the staff literally called each cabin off one at a time by hand. The lady behind us passed out from standing so long. With so many seniors traveling Carnival Cruise lines should think about upgrading their system. Other ships that ...

Disaster

We have been on many cruises and this was our second one with Carnival. One of the other people with us has cruised with them 10 times. Well, from start to finish there was nothing good about this cruise. Housekeeping horrible, never saw our steward. Food was terrible, it was never hot and the sides never came with our entrees. We found a good majority of the staff to be rude and not ...

Very Good Cruise

We took this cruise because of the ports of call, We had never been to any of these ports and wanted to see them. Everyone on the ship tried to make you feel special and comfortable. The ship though was very cold. Either the air conditioning was on high or was just blowing all the time. We were very uncomfortable and so was many of the guests. The ship may be old but has a lot of good ...

One Grand Lady

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Conquest

Conquest, One grand lady. Check in at Port Everglades was the worst. We were scheduled for 11:00 / 11:30 priority check-in. Got there just before 11:00 am and we were quickly directed to the Captains lounge and that’s where bottleneck started. Around 100 priority cruisers crammed into a space outfitted for 50. Leave it to say, it took about an hour to gain entry to the ship. Now this is Port ...

Good Ports, Not-So-Good Ship nor Service

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Carnival Conquest

We are frequenters on NCL but decided to try the Carnival Conquest because of the ports of call (Amber Cove, Santo Domingo, Aruba and Curaçao). Embarkation went smoothly. We were given a boarding group and we probably waited about 20 minutes to board once we got thru the check-in lines. The overall process was probably 45 minutes to an hour until we were onboard. The first disappoint came during ...
