I recently sailed on the Summit cruise to Bermuda with my partner and my parents. Although the overall experience was a positive one there were a number of issues that were poorly handled by Celebrity staff that left me feeling slightly jaded about the cruise line as a whole.
The negative impression began before we even set sail. We decided to book early to secure our cabins and though I ...
cruised out of Bayonne to Bermuda on the Summit...Have cruised on Celebrity, RCCL,Princess ,Norwegian and Carnival...Always felt cruising was a great family vacation, and or, romantic getaway for 2...as was the case this trip...Great to drive to the port, not worry about weight of baggage, or airlines/airports. Bermuda is a beautiful place, and have visited many times... The Summit has made an ...
We left Bayonne on 7-22-12 for 7 nite cruise to Bermuda. Check-in at port, customs & ship were just unbelievably simple. Everyone is helpful and organized, even if we weren't! There were 11 of us. My family does everything TOGETHER. We were on the ship by 12:45, eating lunch, when it was announced our cabins were ready. This was much earlier than anticipated. We checked out all 5 rooms on the 7th ...
Our family group of 13 booked this cruise through AAA MidAtlantic. Our agent, Susan Teza has assisted us in the past and we are very happy with her knowledge, experience, and prompt service. We arrived at Bayonne Cruise Terminal @ 11 AM. Our luggage was picked up right from the car and the embarkation process was quick and easy. With the pre printed boarding sea pass (from the Celebrity website), ...
Travel To Port of Embarkation - By car from Pennsylvania (via I-78)
Hotel Info (if any) - very familar with Newark Airport from consulting experience. We drove to Newark Airport and spent the night at the Newark Airport Marriott hotel. Port of Bayonne, NJ Terminal is so new it your best bet is to stay at hotels near Newark Airport. Marriott is pricey but worth the 5 star property is has been ...
Just sailed to Burmuda on the Summit. Second year in a row for my Girlfriend and I on the same cruise.
Where do I begin. First of all last years cruise was nothing short of remarkable in every way. THIS, given the fact that it rained ALL WEEK!!!.
So obviously, going into this cruise, I was a little concerned that there just HAD to a bit of a "Letdown" this year. I could not have been more ...
We were on the July 8th,2012 sailing to Bermuda from Cape Liberty. Embarkation was
very easy. We arrived at the port 11:00 AM and within a half hour we were on the ship eating lunch at the buffet. The food was excellent right from the start and remained excellent throughout the cruise. We ate dinner every night in the Cosmopolitan Restaurant which was excellent as well. Our server Walter and his ...
At the last minute we booked this cruise with another family who we have cruised with before. The four adults got 2 aqua cabins side by side which was great because the balconies connected (1109/1111). The 3 "kids" had a concierge class cabin on 9th deck. Our aqua class rooms were FAR nicer than concierge class but this is only because ours were brand new after the recent dry dock Summit went ...
We were in an Aquaclass (AQ2) room for the July 7 sailing to Bermuda. This was far and away the best cruise that we've been on and we will certainly return to Celebrity.
Embarkation was a breeze. We arrived shortly after 11AM, dropped our bags, parked at the port, and walked over check-in. It was 25 minutes from walking away from the parking lot to having a glass of chilled champagne in ...
Please note this review is primarily to address some postings about the new AQ class cabins on deck 9 . I thought others might enjoy so I added to this site as well! ......I'm happy to report all my concerns about the cabin were laid to rest as soon as I walked in the cabin. 9046 bathroom was just fine - not to say it could have used a little TLC for example inside the shower where the wall met ...
