Norwegian Star was great. Loved Norway, Svalbard, and Iceland.

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Norwegian Star

I wanted to respond to all the negative reviews of this ship based on the May cruise where the ship didn't serve alcohol the first three days of a cruise around the U.K. I quizzed the bartenders and this did happen because of issues between Norwegian and the UK alcohol/tax authorities. But the reviews saying the food and service on this ship were bad are all lies. My wife and I were on the Star ...

I liked the ports of call. Edinburgh,Orkney,Shetland then onto Norway finishing in the arctic circle. I booked this cruise while on the Norwegian Dawn on a previous cruise. It was a good price taking into account the 200 pounds cash back for booking with the Nextcruise deck. I took the drinks package which also included 300 min wifi and 2 speciality restaurant meals which was also good ...

Norway is gorgeous

Review for a Norwegian Fjords Cruise on Norwegian Star

Ship operations seemed disorganized and everything was just in time. By the end of the cruise it seemed as everything was a competition between passengers to get to the front of the line or somewhere first. A single tender port when we bought our tickets turned into 5 once we boarded. The nightly queue to get tender tickets for next day was 30 to 60 minutes. Not worth it. We ate a later ...

Where do start, internet, none existent, menu never changed for 12 days, food cold and tasteless, since when do you make chilli with cannelloni beans. Took the ship over 24 hours to cover about 200 miles and I know that’s why it is called cruising but we could have all day in Tromso instead of docking at 7 at night and having to leave at 3 in the morning for the airport, why, because the company ...

NCL Cruises -- Never Again Ever!!

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Norwegian Star

We are in day 8 of a 12-day cruise. This is our third incredibly disappointing NCL cruise in a row. NCL used to be the friendliest of all cruise lines. I am at the Platinum level, and I just want to get this horrible cruise over. I recommend that no one ever take an NCL cruise. I will describe a number of reasons for my recommendation by discussing Guest Services; dining; excursions, beverage, ...

False and misleading Norwegian Cruise Line

We chose this cruise because it was our 50 th Wedding Anniversary, and my wife really wanted to go to Ireland. The Cruise was a perfect way of visiting the ports of the Emerald Isle. While the ship was pretty nice, and the food was pretty good, the whole experience was ruined by our cabin location and the unwillingness of Customer Service to do ANYTHING about it. FREE AT SEA is a lie. ...

We were excited about this cruise, going round southern island. The embarkation was slow. We had been on Sky Princess in April which was fabulous so we were comparing both ships, and no comparison. My first food experience on board was lunch, a Caesar salad, at a small restaurant on 8th floor, which consisted of a bowel of lettuce leaves with no dressing and 2 small pieces of chicken. The ...

My sister and I chose this cruise based on the opportunity to visit several ports in Ireland. The ship was kept very clean and quite attractive, though the design occasionally made it hard to get from one place to another. The staff were universally friendly and helpful! Our balcony cabin was very nice, though a bit tight on space around the foot of the beds, and the bathroom was well designed. We ...

NCL - Never Again!

This was our first cruise post Covid, so we can only compare this to 12+ pre-covid cruises with lines such as P+O, Celebrity, RCL, Princess and Cunard. Please bear this in mind when reading. Embarkation Slowest ever. Took 2 hours stood in queues (security then Ship enrolment). Could have opened additional security gates and used tickets for embarkation like previous cruises. We were ...

We are three 63 to 66 year old siblings who chose this cruise to see Ireland. Between the three personalities we usually stay calm and are not negative. But this cruise line has made us realize that you can't always make lemonade out of lemons. We have one person who will eat anything, one gluten free and one very picky eater who does not eat vegetables. And between the 3 of us no one is happy ...
