Having cruised on the Infinity’s sister ship, the Summit, in 2014, I expected an awesome time, and didn’t really anticipate any major surprises when I boarded the Infinity for a 15-day Panama Canal cruise. However, there were some – the new Roof Top Terrace, Blu, and a lot more sea days.
THE GOOD
We decided to try Aqua Class this time, and our cabin (9131) was in great shape and perfectly ...
We chose this cruise because of the Panama Canal and the ship stopped at ports we had not been to before. We met some really nice people on this cruise and Bill Hall did a good job speaking about the Panama Canal and other ports. We choose longer trips for bridge on board on sea days and were disappointed they did not have a hosted bridge!! We went on a couple of tours booked by someone we ...
we travel every year around our anniversary. we choose celebrity this time because it was recommended as was aqua class. we also wanted some tropical weather. aqua class provided us access to some of the spa,and the blu restaurant. blu was intimate and the food generally was four star while getting to know fellow passengers and staff in a unique way compared to the large restaurant. the ...
Celebrity is one of the few cruise lines to go all the way through the Panama Canal. Our room 8043 was on port side and gave us great canal ship watching. There were several ships going through the locks on port side. It provided some quiet viewing when we became tired of mixing with other passengers.
Colon is not a city to wonder on your own. Many tours are offered through the cruise & ...
We chose this ship because we wanted to do the Panama Canal crossing and the timing and price was right.
Overall the ship is good. The cabins are roomy enough, have enough closet space, etc. The Cruise Director was great...plenty of activity if you desired.
The entertainment was very good in the evenings as well as during the day. The ship has a lot of stuff going on all day.
The guest ...
The Panama Canal did not disappoint. The ports and excursions were fine.
I thought the food was average overall, albeit slightly better in the dining room than buffet. The buffet had no traffic flow - eggs there, omelets there, pancakes hidden some where else.
Food service seemed desultory to me. Service was better in the days when gratuities went directly to your waiter. Now, with tips ...
Going through the canal was an amazing experience. Embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly. Take note, this trip attracts many foreigners and customs in San Diego was delayed till almost 10 am. There was a two or three week notice and many had to scramble to change their flights.
I have been on Millennium before the 'upgrades' and I found the ship well designed with a charm all it's own. ...
The ship was very pretty and embarkation was smooth and efficient. However, none of the drink stations were working and the kids had to either go to the one bar that was open or to the buffet to get drinks. We found one bar open with 2 bartenders and then only one for the unending line of people.
This was only a 4 day 3 night cruise and the 2 stops we were scheduled to make, we couldn't due to ...
We have been loyal Celebrity cruises for 25 years, yet were disappointed last year while on a 22 day b2b so we decided to try this short cruise to see if things had improved.
Embarkation was well organized and we were onboard in less that 15 minutes. Our room attendant was excellent. The restaurant staff in Blu was was very good, but they were overwhelmed because they were short staffed. ...
Celebrity should stick to longer routes as these short, fun Bahamas cruises do not seem to be their specialty. I have been on this same ship (same exact Sky Suite) for a 7-night Alaska cruise so I can easily describe the difference.
The staff seemed as if they had to be there to fill the 3-night revenue stream, not because they wanted to make for a fun vacation. The bartenders, while speedy ...
