The itinerary is port heavy but that is expected with a Southern Caribbean cruise. The islands are beautiful and well worth a visit or two, maybe three! The ship itself is an ideal size for my family, two adults, two teens. With the slides, flow rider, sports centre, shows, ice rink and a few other things, there is plenty to keep the teens busy. I would have liked to see some more organization ...
We booked this Adventure of the Seas cruise with a group of GoldWing Motorcycle people. Had 102 people in the group and enjoyed their company along with the events they planned.
Noting that the ship had been in dry dock in January, we thought is was lacking in maintenance on little things. Like cabin door hinges that were loose, the safe numbers were almost worn off, the shower door leaked onto ...
Embarkation and disembarkation went well. The ship definitely needs to be updated. Cabins look so outdated. This ship should not be rated as 4.5 stars. The most disturbing thing is that staff was very unhappy and not trying to please customers at all. This made my experience with RCL Adventures of the Sea very bad. I knew that their job is hard, working non-stop 11 hours a day and 7 days a ...
We actually did B2B cruises Feb 24 and Mar 3. We chose these cruises for the many port days. There was 6 kids in our family group and they had a blast. Didn't go to any of the kid's clubs, there was plenty for them to do on the ship without the clubs. Some of the family need gluten free food and they found enough in the Windjammer. They could also order GF pizza and pancakes there. Tried the ...
We wanted the Southern Caribbean route and were extremely pleased with our ports of call. We did not book our excursions through RC and we were very pleased with all of them. The Adventure of the Seas is a beautiful well maintained ship, staff was attentive, activities were good. For the most part our experience was excellent. Our only complaint is that the food was extremely disappointing, ...
We choose this cruise because of the itinerary and the islands. The Adventure of the Seas is a very nice ship. The entertainment was enjoyable and the ice show is one you should not miss . We had the privilege to visit St Marrten, St Kitts, St Lucia, Antigua and Barbados. All of these islands were beautiful and they were happy that we came to visit.
The food in the dining room was good and so ...
The horror began with cancellation of the originally scheduled trip, February 2018. On 26 April we were advised the ship would be taken out of service, at the peak of vacation season to install a Japanese Specialty restaurant. As our group consisted of 12 people, rebooking at a good time was impossible. So, we were forced to book a trip for 10-17 MARCH. This was during spring break for a lot of ...
General comments: We are fond of RC, we have been on four of their cruises so far. It's a good value and we can actually afford a grand suite. Fellow cruisers are varied in terms of age groups etc. and we like that, too. The Adventure has been refurbished and it shows. Staff are great. The food is not tippy-top-notch gourmet, but we are always pleased.
The Worst of the worst: I will never take ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary.
We could tell that the carpets and love seat were new, however I had back and neck aches the whole time -- they needed to replace the mattress and pillows during the updating.
This is our 2nd cruise on RC. Our first was to Alaska and we had a wonderful experience, so we wanted to try RC again on a new adventure. We have never been to the ...
We chose this cruise primarily for the destinations. Due to recommendations from colleges, we chose Royal Caribbean over Carnival who offered a similar itinerary.
Boarding the ship:
I felt the process was very smooth and much quicker than I expected. The staff were helpful and nice. We checked 3 bags and carried on 2 backpacks. Two of the 3 bags were delivered to our room within 2-3 hours. ...
