Great departure port and itinerary

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Adventure of the Seas

We had the Junior Suite and it was our best cabin ever. On the "hump' it had a large balcony. Seems like a minor detail, but the walk-in closet really was a plus. With all the in-port days, we didn't get much interaction with the crew this time, except for our dining room team, who was great. I would say all in all, the Adventure team tried hard to do a good job. We ate at Chops twice and ...

Loved the entire package

We cruise for the entire package (ship and itinerary). This fit the bill. The MDR hours changed for traditional seating and due to the slow service, it interferred with our usual early show schedule (that also moved from 7:30 or 8p to 7p) so often we ate in the Windjammer, but we had to rush because the Windjammer didn't open until 6:30p...a suggestion would be to open at 6p. We're early to ...

This was our first time on the Adventure and first time on the Southern Caribbean trip. We stayed in Old San Juan for 2 days before the cruise and took a taxi over to the port on the morning of embarkation. We were dropped off in front of the terminal and only stood in line for about 20 minutes before they opened the doors and the mad rush began. The terminal is smaller than some of them on the ...

Overall we were pleased with the entire cruise. The room was clean. The steward took care of all our needs quickly. The main dining room service was a bit slow. We mostly ate in the windjammer after the third day. The food in both places was great. just more leisurely in the windjammer. The best coffee was at the promenade cafe. We even stopped by there to take coffee to the windjammer for ...

Stayed in San Juan for 2 days prior to cruise and loved that. Would do it again in a heart beat. Embarkation was quick and smooth. Disembarkation was unbelievable. From the time we left our cabin to the the time we checked our bags at the airport it was exactly 50 minutes!!! Not even one hour!! this ship is one of my favorites because it truly has something for everyone. It is a very easy ship to ...

Amazing cruise itinerary but rooms need improvement

This was our first cruise experience ever and I have to say it's by far the best vacation I've ever had. I had planned this trip since June 2016 and had done all sorts of research. At first we had no idea which cruise line or ship to choose from since the decision is overwhelming, but then we had the most helpful travel agent narrow down for us between 2 choices of cruises based on our vacation ...

This was my third time on this ship. We love this class of ship. We have cruised on Allure and Anthem and did not like them at all, but we did love Oasis of the Seas. When we docked in St. Maartin, we took a taxi to Orient Beach and the driver dropped us off at Good Time Charlies. The service was great. We got beach chairs and umbrellas and drinks for a great deal. In Bon Air, we went ...

BACKGROUND We are a married couple in our 50s. This was our seventh cruise – 5th with RCI (others were with Princess). We have sailed on ships as small as the Monarch of the Seas and as large as the Allure of the Seas. This cruise was not a destination cruise but just a getaway (although being out of San Juan made it interesting). PRE-CRUISE We stayed at the Caribe Hilton for two ...

ABC Island Delight

We are experienced cruisers (6-10), but our first time on RCCL. We specifically chose this cruise based upon the ports of call and to compare our prior cruise lines. We visited St. Maarten and the ABC (Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao) Islands. We travelled as a couple without children. Overall we felt this cruise had a laid back atmosphere and had a slightly older clientele than (Carnival, MSC, and ...

The islands we love from a ship we found we still love. We sail B2B out of San Juan because we love the eastern Caribbean islands and from the time we step off the plane we are warm and comfortable. The second week we returned to Aruba and Curacao which we visited on our first cruise on the Adventure. Even though we have been there since I had reviewed the photos of our first trip before we left ...
