This was a Bare Necessities cruise, which, from our past experience, has an extremely friendly passenger base and very-well coordinated activities. This cruise was a disappointment, mainly due the apathetic service and really iffy food from Carnival. Compared to the Celebrity Constellation's cruise in 2016, this cruise was simply sub-par. I'm not one to send food back, but I did so at the sit-down ...
Just returned two days ago from sailing the Pride Jan 29-Feb 5, Cozumel, Belize, Roatan and Grand Cayman. This was our second cruise with Carnival and have also sailed RCC, Norwegian and Princess. I can honestly say that Carnival is just a good of a cruise line as any other. The itinerary was great and we had super weather. Our cabin steward, Rommel, was great as well as all of our ...
Service is always great on the pride meals were great love eating in the dinning room staff is so good in there Had some real nice shore excursions loved the one to gumbalimba park it was alot of funrotan was a beautiful place wish we had been able to stay there for a longer period of timeembarkation at Tampa was a little slow and we had faster to fun much better in baltimore Debarkation was also ...
We chose this cruise because of the convenience of leaving from Tampa (30 minutes from home) and the variety of ports on just a 7 day cruise. To make it even better, we were joined by 2 friends who were EXCITED about their first cruise.
Embarcation was less than 30 minutes and a breeze. It was pretty cool and windy up on the Lido deck but going under the Sunshine Skyway Bridge right at sunset ...
Husband and I chose this cruise out of Tampa in conjunction with another cruise back to back. Food in the dining room was okay-would appeal to families with children. Lunch was always on the Lido deck and the Guy's Burgers were incredible! I could have eaten them daily! Tacos were also wonderful as was the Asian buffet. Afternoon tea on sea days was a nice change.
Entertainment revolved ...
Our embarkation went smooth but slightly disorganized. The terminal at Tampa has people disembarking into same area as the passengers trying to board. The Pride is showing signs of ageing. The main entertainment in the Taj Mahal was not as expansive or varried as the shows we have seen on past cruises. Shows were seemingly more of the same after the first night. Dining choices on Carnival were ...
Board required standing in an incredibly long line that move at a snails pace. After getting on board, cabin was not ready for an hours and luggage did not arrive for 6 hours. The cabin was snug and the balcony was tiny. Sitting in a chair you had to turn sideways to not have the same legroom as on a typical airline coach seat. The steward was acceptable on making up the room etc; however, I had ...
My wife and I and another couple sailed out of Tampa in January. We drove up to Tampa from Port Charlotte and used the valet parking which got us to Faster to the Fun even faster.
Our cabin (8192) was ready but our bags did not arrive until after the safety drill. Not a big deal.
All four of us had the drink package. At a little over $100 per day per couple we thought it was worth ...
Menu was limited and below expectations. Service at dinner was very slow. Poor variety and very little seafood. Music onboard was below expectations as well. Would have liked more / better activities as well. However the crew was fantastic. No complaints about how were treated onboard.
Our excursion were great with the exception of Roatan, The private beach we went to was a huge money pit. ...
The shows were VERY disappointing. We are platinum cruisers with Carnival, but haven't cruised with them for about 5 years. The singers voices didn't blend. After attending two shows, we tried the comedy club. Better entertainment, but the room was too small. The comedy was the best night time activity so everyone arrived early and didn't leave--standing room only!
The food was actually ...
