We chose this cruise because of the convenience of leaving from Tampa (30 minutes from home) and the variety of ports on just a 7 day cruise. To make it even better, we were joined by 2 friends who were EXCITED about their first cruise.

Husband and I chose this cruise out of Tampa in conjunction with another cruise back to back. Food in the dining room was okay-would appeal to families with children. Lunch was always on the Lido deck and the Guy's Burgers were incredible! I could have eaten them daily! Tacos were also wonderful as was the Asian buffet. Afternoon tea on sea days was a nice change.

Our embarkation went smooth but slightly disorganized. The terminal at Tampa has people disembarking into same area as the passengers trying to board. The Pride is showing signs of ageing. Board required standing in an incredibly long line that move at a snails pace. After getting on board, cabin was not ready for an hours and luggage did not arrive for 6 hours. The cabin was snug and the balcony was tiny. Sitting in a chair you had to turn sideways to not have the same legroom as on a typical airline coach seat. My wife and I and another couple sailed out of Tampa in January. We drove up to Tampa from Port Charlotte and used the valet parking which got us to Faster to the Fun even faster.
Our cabin (8192) was ready but our bags did not arrive until after the safety drill. Not a big deal.

Menu was limited and below expectations. Service at dinner was very slow. Poor variety and very little seafood. Music onboard was below expectations as well. Would have liked more / better activities as well. However the crew was fantastic. No complaints about how were treated onboard.

The shows were VERY disappointing. We are platinum cruisers with Carnival, but haven't cruised with them for about 5 years. The singers voices didn't blend. After attending two shows, we tried the comedy club. Better entertainment, but the room was too small.
