We chose this cruise for the value for money it had. From day one it was fantastic, the embarkation was smooth and quiet quick, the ship is beautiful, floating city! The crew we found were always helpful, friendly and courteous. The entertainment on board was great not something we would normally do but really enjoyed it. Plenty of activities on board my husband became addicted to the flow rider!! ...

Enjoyable experience on first RCI cruise

Have cruised before but this was the first with RCI. Boarding was relatively quick, which was a blessing given the rainy weather and the number of people boarding. We flew in to Sydney that morning and were able to drop off the bags about 8-30am and then came back about 10am. After filling in forms and going inside, we sat and waited in rows until the ship was ready for us to board. They had ...

This cruise was a last minute decision for us, based on a fantastic price for a Guaranteed Ocean view room. We ended up on Deck 2 Port side aft, which was quite a good position to minimise the effects of rough seas, as the area does not move much compared to the top (with roll), and the front (with pitch). Cleanliness of the ship was quite good, and I was impressed that almost everyday I ...

We chose this cruise as a Christmas present to each other - purchased the week prior to Christmas. We travelled as a couple without children. Despite it being early in the school year, there were quite a few children on board. There only seemed to be a small group of 4 or 5 maybe 10 year olds who caused any grief! Heavens knows where their parents were! We ate all evening meals in the ...

No cruise is perfect...BUT

I believe RCL and their staff, try their best to offer good value, excellent service and impeccable facilities. I would like to see more affordable shore excursions offered, as this adds to your whole experience. Maybe a little more variety in the shops, although there were some great bargains. Food wise- their cuts of meat are always very high quality , moist and tender. Every sweet dish, ...

Booked this cruise 6 weeks from departure at a very good price. We had a forward balcony on cabin on deck 7 which was very clean, room was very comfortable and bathroom a good size. Room attendant was exceptional as I have always found on any cruise, these people will go to unbelievable lengths to make sure you enjoy your cruise. This goes the same for any of the staff on this ship. I don't know ...

Everything ran very smoothly whic is usual with RCI. We had a great time with nothing to complain about. If I had to be picky I'd say the entertainment was a little light on this sailing. We had mainly comedians and magicians. The saving grace were the Beatnix who are great entertainers, whether or not you are into Beatles tribute bands. The food in both the Windjammer and main dining room were ...

10 days lost from my life

We have Diamond status on RCL so we are not newbies. We have recently returned from a 10-day cruise to New Caledonia and just lost ten days out of lives that we will never get back again. This cruise was an absolutely terrible experience. I could not believe the inconsistent product everywhere. This cruise did not many of the basics expected from RCL, there was not even one fruit and ...

Lovely time at sea

Ship was very stable so no seasickness. Cabin was spacious with more than enough storage room. Cabin steward couldn't have been more helpful. Dining room food was pretty good and the staff again were very helpful. I wouldn't bother with the specialty restaurants- overpriced and not much better than the dining room. We had lunch at Chops but didn't eat at Izumi as menu looked boring compared to the ...

Cruise from Hell

The weather was terrible but that's not the reason for my rating. We thought we missed the school kids but forgot about the University Students who caused so much trouble with their drinking-fighting and harassment of older passengers. There was over 28 people who were offload at various ports or placed under cabin arrest. There is a Major problem with the drink packages as they were ...
