I really wanted to find somewhere to sing the praises of the fabulous entertainment on board during the last eleven days.
3 scintillating shows with top rate production values culminated in the incredible Big Easy show that totally surpassed our expectations - in fact we arranged our dinners so we could see all three shows twice and would happily have seen them many more times over.

From the start of the cruise, I loved the attention and friendliness of all the staff (except for one lady at the information desk who was quite grumpy.
Our Steward Katut was great and so helpful. Our Balcony cabin was excellent and we spent a lot of time out there.
The food was lovely and the waiters could not do enough for us. My mother who is elderly and had a walker was treated with ...
Myself, wife and 11 year old son sailed on the Carnival Spirit on 20th January returning on 31st. The cruise went to: Isle of Pines, Mystery Island, Santo, Wala and Port Vila. This was our 4th cruise having previously sailed on P&O, Disney and Royal Caribbean.
The Ship Overall
Very clean, superbly maintained and has a real 'Las Vegas' feel about it. It may not be to everyone's taste but we ...
THE GOOD - The ship was pleasant, kept clean and tidy, plentiful food (just hard to fight your way to). Ports were lovely and staff approachable.
THE BAD - Not much to do on sea days, the same offerings for activities just repeated over and over. Bored of bean bag toss etc.
THE UGLY - Never seen so many dreadfully behaved children. Parents need to be approached, for the comfort of other ...
Firstly, let me say that everyone deserves to have fun on a cruise. And families with children seemed to do just that. But sailing in the school holidays is not for the elderly. The only reason we took this cruise is that it was a family cruise with my daughter, husband and grand children. And Having said that we heard several young couples with children saying that they would not cruise again in ...
We cruised Carnival for the first time in the January school holidays, so we expected to see a lot of kids for that time of year and we did! If I cruise again, I would try to avoid the busy school holiday periods if I can.
CABIN:
We loved our cabin. Due to the time of year, it was quite expensive, around $1700 AUD per person for an inside cabin with obstructed view. I was happy that I had ...
Embarkation was great, quick and painless. We'd booked a suite so we had VIP embarkation, no standing in lines. The lines that we saw whilst checking in weren't long. I liked the idea of different embarkation times for passengers which meant that there wasn't too much chaos. Right from the time we pulled up to the kerb and got out of the car we had nothing but helpful employees, helping us with our ...
I booked this cruise knowing full well it was going to be family orientated. I travelled with my 16 year old son hoping he would enjoy the O2 club and meet new people. The club style and atmosphere didn't suit him (and quite a few kids we met of the same age said the same thing) so we spent time together and he eventually met up with kids his age outside of the O2 club which was fine. We met up ...
It was ok.. but it didn't live up to the hype. Being fair, it's our third cruise in 16 months and maybe we're a bit over the whole cruising thing for a while, as well as the Pacific Islands. We got off this cruise saying "well that was ok, but we won't do another", whereas on previous cruises we hopped off as keen as mustard to book another as quick as possible.
Embarkation (and Debarkation at ...
The Norweigan Star is a beautiful ship with a fantastic crew that delivers excellent service. The ship is decorated so nice, very well maintained. The food is absolutely delicious, with a great selection of choices. You may choose any dining room at anytime. Your dining never has to stay the same. The staterooms are very nice, with excellent use of space. We loved the large glass showers. The ...
