10 Day Cruise to NZ North Island on Carnival Spirit

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Carnival Spirit

I enjoyed an earlier cruise to New Caledonia on Carnival Spirit. Unfortunately the second time around was not so good; perhaps because we were in an inside cabin this time. The cabin itself was quite a bit smaller than I expected. There was no lounge chair, only a single chair, plus a stool in front of the dressing table/ desk. The single beds in our cabin were only 2’ 6” wide which is too ...

Great cruise. Great people. The staff on this cruise made the trip awesome. Room was tidied every day by happy people, the service staff at the bars and seating areas could not be faulted. The dinning restaurant has the best staff. We were served by Kosta, Bahri and Saiful, these guys went out of there way for us at every meal. Best service ever. Our Holliday was with a group of 17, enjoyed by ...

Don't Expect Peace & Quiet or a Leisurely Swim

I chose the 3 night four day Carnival Cruise out of Sydney because it was my first cruise and I wasn't convinced I was a 'cruising' kind of person. I was right. I'm not. At least I'm not a Carnival Cruise kind of person. The embarkation was horrific. Loaded like cattle, they crammed us all into the buffet area because their determination to get in and get out as fast as possible means they get ...

Family Christmas Cruise

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Carnival Spirit

We chose to get away from the hustle & bustle of Christmas preparations and relax with the family (kids & grand-kids) on a Christmas cruise. The children went to kids club, some enjoyed it, some didn't. If you don't like lots of kids then this is not a cruise for you. There was plenty to do (if you want to) things like trivia, dance lessons, crafts, games, swimming, water slides, shows, parties. ...

Great Embarkation, no problems, straight in and treated like royalty. Good price cruise $76.65 per day. Great to have a priority for Water Shuttles. A NICE SURPRISE, at dinner time in the Empire Dinning Room, when it was “Show Time”, the music started (D’Amore”)but the singer wasn’t there so Dessi, the Maître D, started to sing. After a while a waiter helped her and when he couldn’t sing ...

Kids loved every aspect of this holiday as did I. The water slides were obviously a massive hit.. The water park great for my 6 yr old ASD boy.. Pools were pretty cold but no-one seemed to mind that as the spa just beside came to good use..especially after 10pm. Food FANTASTIC.. elegant dining night was a real treat for us. Icecream & Pizza on offer 24/7 was a dream come true for my 11 yr ...

Pleasingly Surprised

Saw an advertised “special deal” on Carnival - $749 for 8 nights so wanted to see if we would enjoy a longer cruise in possibly a different region with them. Food in restaurant, service and staff excellent. Ship was kept spotlessly clean. Cabin 4118 was spacious and our Cabin Steward, Ketut, maintained the room to a very high standard. He addressed us by name at all times, enquired about ...

Best holiday for a person on their own

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Carnival Spirit

I chose this cruise because it was sailing out of Sydney and I have always wanted to do that. It was also going to New Caledonia where I haven't been before. It was my first cruise experience and I was a little nervous about doing it on my own. It was the most social holiday I have had on my own. I must have spoken with 50 people at various times during the cruise. The overall experience was ...

We were offered a very good deal which included Balcony, airfares and $500 spending money at a travel agents mini expo otherwise we wouldn't have chosen to do this cruise. We found it very relaxing but wouldn't want to be on there during school holidays. Eat in the Dining room for breakfast and dinner, staff were fantastic and very talented - the nightly show in the dining room was sometimes ...

Carnival Spirit - Pacific Islands Family Holiday

We had been on Diamond Princess as a couple and loved the experience so Carnival had a lot to live up to. It wasn't as big or as flash as Princess but with a 4 year old Carnival was absolutely perfect. Carnival was more geared for children with the slides and things for them to do. We were also upgraded to an extended balcony cabin (8223) and I thoroughly encourage anyone doing a pacific island ...
